Ambient conditions for operational readiness Permissible ambient temperature: +15C to +40C Permissible air humidity: 40% - 70% without condensation Altitude (above sea level): - at 100 - 125 V max. 3000 m - at 230 - 240 V max. 2000 m
Temperature conditions for operating the CMM: The measuring uncertainty specified for the DuraMax is guaranteed under the following conditions: 1. Following installation, the CMM rests for 1 day so that it can adapt to room temperature. 2. A measurement correction program featuring input of the workpiece and CMM temperatures and the temperature expansion coefficient of the workpiece material is used. 3. The following temperature conditions are met: CMM type DuraMax Temp. range (C) 18 - 30 Temperature gradient per hour (K/h) 2.0 per day (K/d) 5.0 spatial (K/m) 1.0
Drafts caused by frequent opening and closing of doors should be avoided in the immediate vicinity. Direct heat radiation of any type whatsoever also must be excluded.

Net weight of CMM with base: 480 kg Max. permissible workpiece weight: 100 kg Average pressure on the 3 adjusting feet: 19.4 N/cm2 Calculated from the net weight of the machine with base and the max. workpiece weight distributed over the footprint of the three CMM feet measuring 100 cm2 ea. For reasons of stability, the base must be fastened securely to the floor (foundation) with screws and wall plugs. Two fastening holes are provided on the base for this purpose. The fastening materials must be provided by the customer.

An appropriate machine table or measuring plate is required to install the DuraMax (n). It should have the recommended minimum table height of 700mm and a load carrying capacity of 500 kg. The required room height equals the sum of the following dimensions: - Height of machine table or measuring plate (n provided by the customer) - Height of DuraMax without base: 1810 mm - Required installation clearance below ceiling: 200 mm The average pressure exerted by the adjusting feet on the foundation is calculated from: - the net weight of CMM: 400 kg, - the permissible max. workpiece weight: 100 kg - the weight of machine table or measuring plate (n provided by the customer) and - the footprint of the adjusting feet of the machine table or measuring plate. For information on the distance from the wall, required connections, etc. please refer to the drawing on Page 7.
