Owl Coaster

My sister requested owl coasters and I couldnt find a pattern but I did see a picture of one that was exactly what I wanted so I set about making my own and this is the result Yarn: I used Sugar n Cream but any worsted weight yarn will do Hook: G6 (4.25 mm), E4 (3.50 mm) sc: single crochet dc: double crochet hdc: half double crochet sc2tog: single crochet two together ch: chain pm: place marker Joining: I didnt join the rounds I crochet this in a spiral pattern Pattern: Use larger hook 1: Start with a magic adjustable ring, ch 1, 6 sc in ring 2: 2 sc in each sc around 3: (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around 4: (sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around 5: (sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around 6: (sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around 7: (sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around 8: (sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around 9: sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc (pm), sc in next 5 sc, slip stitch in next 3 sc, sc in next 5 sc (pm in next sc) (you will work between these two markers, you should have 13 stitches between the two markers), ch 1, turn WS: sc in next 6 sc, slip stitch in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch1, turn RS: sc in next 6 sc, slip stitch in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch1, turn WS: sc in next 6 sc, slip stitch in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch1, turn RS: sc in next 6 sc, slip stitch in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch1, turn WS: sc in next 6 sc, slip stitch in sc from lower row, sc in next 6 sc, break yarn and weave in ends
