QUALLS ANNOUNCES 6 KEY ENDORSEMENTS


(Walnut Hills) Six key labor and womens groups, active in the Democratic Party, have endorsed Roxanne Qualls for Mayor. The groups advocate for women and working Cincinnatians. Endorsements to date show that leading labor and womens groups are lining up for Roxanne Qualls as the better choice for Mayor. They believe Roxanne Qualls is the leader Cincinnati needs now to keep our city moving forward in a way that helps working men and women. Her commitment to public service has led to safer neighborhoods, better schools and more jobs. said Jens Sutmoller, campaign manager. Qualls for Mayor announced the endorsements from: Cincinnati Womens Political Caucus International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 212 Laborers Local 265 Carpenters Local 2 Ironworkers Local 44 EMILYs List Cincinnati needs a Mayor who will advocate for working families. We believe Roxanne is the only candidate in this race who has done that time and time again, said Rich Fletcher, President, Carpenters Local 2. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 212 endorses Roxanne Qualls due to her proven track-record supporting working men and women of Cincinnati. Qualls fought along-side workers during the attack on workers rights in 2011, and just this year supported a resolution against Right to Work, said Scott Smith, Business Manager, IBEW Local 212. Roxanne has a long record of proven leadership and results on issues important to women and children. She started her career leading Women Helping Women and the Northern Kentucky Rape Crisis Center. This gave her great insight into the needs of women in our community. Her leadership improving the safety and growth of our neighborhoods and schools and supporting womens health initiatives are all top issues for women voters. This is why the Cincinnati Womens Political Caucus proudly endorses Roxanne Qualls for Mayor, said Barbara Myers, Chair, Cincinnati Womens Political Caucus.
