Eminem (Marshall Bruce Mathers III), a magnificent American rapper, actor and record producer was born on 17 October 1972 in St. Joseph, MO. He had a chaotic childhood and released The Slim Shady LP in 1999. This multi-platinum, album made him won 2 Grammy Awards and 4 MTV Video Music Awards. Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP one of the fastest-selling album in rap music history in the year 2000.

Eminems first solo album Infinite

Eminems first solo album Infinite was released in 1996 on the local Web Entertainment label however; it couldnt manage to garner huge audience attention. In 1998 he released his second album The Slim Shady EP, popular producer Dr. Dre got so impressed with him that he signed Eminem for his Interscope imprint, Aftermath instantly. The Dre-coproduced The Slim Shady LP, which entered on the pop chart at 3rd position in February 1999 and sold 3 million copies and made him, win a Grammy award for the Best Rap Album. This catchy lead single My Name Is became a massive crossover success, peaking to 36th position on the Hot 100 and made him win a Grammy for the Best Rap Solo Performance.

Eminems first movie 8 Mile

Eminem starred as himself in 8 Mile with Brittany Murphy, Mekhi Phifer and Kim Basinger in November 2002. He earned critical acclamation for his acting capabilities in this film and also for its soundtrack Lose Yourself that was his first track to reach at 1st position on the Hot 100 and made him, win an Academy Award for the Best Original Song in the year 2003.
