English Plus Film Studies and Filmmaking student Elma makes the most of the fully equipped editing suite

This course, taught in conjunction with AMDA, is for students who want to combine English with the study of film, including film history, script writing, acting and production. It also includes practical filmmaking skills. All this right in the heart of Hollywood the film capital of the world. Kings Los Angeles has a fully equipped Apple Mac video editing suite, including Final Cut Pro and After Effects software.

Short film competition Towards the end of the course you will apply your new skills and creative ideas to making a short film or documentary, managing the project from start to finish. The best film will be given an award at a special awards ceremony.

American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA)


The course is taught in conjunction with AMDA one of the worlds leading institutions for the performing arts. Classes are taught both at Kings and the AMDA campus, located 10 minutes walk from our College. The course also includes visits to iconic film locations, studios and other industry-related venues.

Students may enroll in the 12-week English plus Film program three times a year. General English classes are offered 15 hours a week in the morning or afternoon; students take 6 hours of Film classes in the afternoon. Students have full access to all resources and facilities at both Kings Colleges and AMDA campuses. A sample schedule is as follows:
