RESOURCES REQUIRED

1. Fall hazards inside the sleeping room

Inability to provide a home environment conducive to health maintenance and personal development due to lack of skill in carrying out measures to improve home environment.

After 1 hour of nursing interventions, the family will be able to identify the possible fall hazards and rearrange the furniture inside the sleeping room.

Within 30 minutes of nursing interventions the family will be able to: Gain knowledge on the importance of having a safe environment by answering at least 2 possible fall hazards inside their home. Execute ways on how to minimize fall incidents inside the house by promoting safety precautions and rearranging the furniture inside the sleeping area. Show interest in maintaining the safety of their environment by cooperating in the implementation.

Assess the degree of awareness of the family with regards to the existing problem. Discuss what fall hazard is and the problems it may bring. Analyze with the family the possible fall hazard inside the house/sleeping area. Demonstrate the proper and safe arrangement of furniture inside the sleeping room.

Within 30 minutes of nursing interventions the family will be able to: Know the importance of safe environment by enumerating at least 2 of the selfprotection methods they can use. Execute ways on how to properly use self-protection devices by performing return demonstration. Show interest in maintaining selfprecautionary measures inside their home through cooperation in the implementation.

Assess the degree of awareness of the family with regards to the problem. Teach the family the importance of safe environment and selfprotection measures. Discuss self-protection measures and ways of cleaning that can be use inside their home. Also the programs that the community was offering. Demonstrate proper cleaning methods and installation of selfprotection measures.
