com CORPORATE ACTIONS ADMINISTRATOR JOB DESCRIPTION The Corporate Actions Department performs both mandatory and voluntary corporate actionrelated custody and accounting processing requirements in over 70 markets around the world. The group is responsible for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent in the various functions. The candidate is responsible for reviewing and approving the operational output to ensure 100% accuracy on corporate actions activity in Global markets. Tasks include: Approve Corporate Action announcements sent to internal/external clients, approving corporate action instructions sent to depositories, custodians, sub-custodians, agents, brokers, approving FX (Foreign Exchange) and Security Lending Counter Parties, and reviewing accuracy of manual postings to client accounts. Additionally, the candidate reviews file folders for completion and compliance with operating procedures and execution of risk controls. This work is done manually, not automated. The candidate is expected to have a complete understanding of all corporate action procedures, corporate action events, and market practices and act as a subject matter expert for clients, management, and train more junior staff. The candidate works on multiple systems (BaNCS, Global Plus, etc.) and is responsible for reviewing various system control reports to ensure completion of critical processing requirements The candidate is responsible for researching and responding to inquiries from internal business groups, depositories, agents, brokers, clients, Investment Managers and sub custodians. The candidate is also responsible for closing open reconciliation items, assisting specialists or more junior staff with complex recon items, and providing both verbal and written status updates to management. The ideal candidate is proactive and is expected to contribute ideas and recommendations to improve process efficiencies and increase risk mitigation. The candidate provides support to the supervisors and managers for ongoing projects to the supervisor as necessary. Additionally, the candidate participates in meetings representing corporate actions and will participate in department initiatives such as system enhancements and off hours testing. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a BS/BA degree and/or the equivalent of 3-7 years work experience in direct Corporate Actions, with exposure to income, settlements and securities are required. The candidate must be extremely detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, deadline driven, high-risk environment. Customer Service orientation is a must with strong writing and verbal communication skills.
