ORDER OF SERVICE
Please stand as the choir, clergy and Royal Party enter. Please sit for the INTROIT sung by the choir O Lord Jesu Christ, who hast created and redeemed me, and hast brought me hither where I am: Thou knowest what Thou wouldest do with me. Do with me according to Thy will, with mercy. Amen.
Words: A Prayer of King Henry VI Music: Paul Mealor

WELCOME The Chaplain HYMN Lead, kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom, Lead thou me on ; The night is dark, and I am far from home ; Lead thou me on. Keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see The distant scene; one step enough for me. I was not ever thus, nor prayed that thou Shouldst lead me on; I loved to choose and see my path; but now Lead thou me on. I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears, Pride ruled my will: remember not past years. So long thy power hath blessed me, sure it still Will lead me on, Oer moor and fen, oer crag and torrent, till The night is gone, And with the morn those angel faces smile, Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile.
Words: Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman Tune: Lux Benigna (John Bacchus Dykes)

Please sit 1st LESSON Micah 4:1-5 Read by Colonel Toby Browne, LVO (Chairman, The Blues and Royals Association) It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, and many nations shall come, and say: Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall

beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more; but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken. For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever. METRICAL PSALM I to the hills will lift mine eyes, From whence doth come mine aid. My safety cometh from the Lord, Who heav'n and earth hath made. Thy foot he'll not let slide, nor will He slumber that thee keeps. Behold, he that keeps Israel, He slumbers not, nor sleeps. The Lord thee keeps, the Lord thy shade On thy right hand doth stay: The moon by night thee shall not smite, Nor yet the sun by day. The Lord shall keep thy soul; he shall Preserve thee from all ill. Henceforth thy going out and in God keep for ever will.
Psalm 121 (Scottish Psalter, 1650) Tune: French (from E. Pryss llyfr y Psalmau 1621; descant by Alan Gray)

Please sit 2nd LESSON Philippians 2:2-11 Read by Lieutenant Colonel Neil Morrison, OBE (Trustee) So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Please stand CREED sung by the choir We believe that God is Spirit, And they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. We believe that God is Light, And if we walk in the Light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another. We believe that God is Love, And everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, And that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. We believe that we are children of God, And that He hath given us of His Spirit. We believe that, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. We believe that the world passeth away, and the lust thereof, But he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever Let us pray. Please sit 1st COLLECT of the Blues and Royals O Lord Jesus Christ, who by thy Holy Apostle hast called us to put on the armour of God and to take the sword of the Spirit, give thy grace, we pray thee, to the Blues and Royals that they may fight manfully under thy banner against all evil, and waiting on thee to renew their strength, may mount up with wings as eagles, in thy name, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost ever one God, world without end. Amen. 2nd COLLECT for Peace O God, who art the author of peace and lover of concord, in knowledge of whom standeth our eternal life, whose service is perfect freedom; Defend us thy humble servants in all assaults of our enemies; that we, surely trusting in thy defence, may not fear the power of any adversaries, through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 3rd COLLECT for Grace O Lord, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day; Defend us in the same with thy mighty power; and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all our doings may be ordered by thy governance, to do always that is righteous in thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

ANTHEM sung by the choir We praise thee, O God: we acknowledge thee to be the Lord. All the earth doth worship thee: the Father everlasting. To thee all Angels cry aloud: the Heavens, and all the Powers therein. To thee Cherubin and Seraphin: continually do cry, Holy, Holy, Holy: Lord God of Sabaoth; Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty: of thy glory. The glorious company of the Apostles: praise thee. The goodly fellowship of the Prophets: praise thee. The noble army of Martyrs: praise thee. The holy Church throughout all the world: doth acknowledge thee; The Father: of an infinite Majesty; Thine honourable, true: and only Son; Also the Holy Ghost: the Comforter. Thou art the King of Glory: O Christ. Thou art the everlasting Son: of the Father. When thou tookest upon thee to deliver man: thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb. When thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death: thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers. Thou sittest at the right hand of God: in the glory of the Father. We believe that thou shalt come: to be our Judge. We therefore pray thee, help thy servants: whom thou hast redeemed with thy precious blood. Make them to be numbered with thy Saints: in glory everlasting. O Lord, save thy people: and bless thine heritage. Govern them: and lift them up for ever. Day by day: we magnify thee; And we worship thy Name: ever world without end. Vouchsafe, O Lord: to keep us this day without sin. O Lord, have mercy upon us: have mercy upon us. O Lord, let thy mercy lighten upon us: as our trust is in thee. O Lord, in thee have I trusted: let me never be confounded.
Music: Benjamin Britten (Te Deum in C)

ADDRESS Mr Julian Birchall, Chairman of the Trustees DOXOLOGY sung by the choir Now to Him who loved us, gave us Every pledge that love could give, Freely shed His blood to save us, Gave His life that we may live, Be the kingdom and dominion And the glory evermore.
Words: Samuel Miller Waring Tune: Robin Chapel Melody (Sir Francis Tudsbery, 1954)

Please stand for the ACT OF REDEDICATION Gracious God, you have given us this chapel, built by human hands through the generosity of Sir Francis and Lady Tudsbery, to be a house of prayer for all people; a light to shine, to welcome in those with doubts, those who are seeking, as well as those of faith of whatever creed, to be at one here in this house of prayer where your beauty is here to behold. Be with us

now as we rededicate this sacred place and ourselves to your service that we may faithfully follow those who have gone before us, respecting the traditions, but being open to the Spirit to move us to new ways of thinking, of working together for the sake of your kingdom here in this place. Amen. Please sit PRAYERS O Lord, our Heavenly Father, high and mighty, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the only Ruler of princes, who dost from thy throne behold all dwellers upon earth; Most heartily we beseech thee with thy favour to behold our most gracious Sovereign Lady, Queen Elizabeth; and so replenish her with the grace of thy Holy Spirit, that she may always incline to thy will, and walk in thy way; Endue her plenteously with heavenly gifts; grant that she may vanquish all her enemies; and finally, after this life, she may attain everlasting joy and felicity; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Lord, we beseech thee to keep thy household of The Thistle Foundation, and all who worship within the Robin Chapel, in continual godliness; that through thy protection they may be free from all adversities, and devoutly given to serve thee in good works, to the glory of thy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we thine unworthy servants do give thee most humble and hearty thanks for all thy goodness and loving-kindness to us, and to all people; We bless thee for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace and for the hope of glory. And, we beseech thee, give us that due sense of all thy mercies, that our hearts may be unfeignedly thankful, and that we shew forth thy praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives; by giving up ourselves to thy service, and by walking before thee in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with thee and the Holy Ghost be all honour and glory, world without end. Amen. LORD'S PRAYER setting by John Farmer, sung by the choir HYMN Who would true valour see, Let him come hither; One here will constant be, Come wind, come weather; Theres no discouragement Shall make him once relent His first avowed intent To be a pilgrim.

Whoso beset him round With dismal stories, Do but themselves confound, His strength the more is. No lion can him fright: Hell with a giant fight, But he will have the right To be a pilgrim. Hobgoblin nor foul fiend Can daunt his spirit; He knows he at the end Shall life inherit. Then, fancies, fly away; Hell fear not what men say, Hell labour night and day To be a pilgrim.
Words: John Bunyan Tune: Monks Gate (Trad. Sussex, arr. R. Vaughan Williams; Descant by Simon Niemiski)

BLESSING God grant to the living, grace; to the departed, rest; to the Church, the Queen, the Commonwealth, and all people, peace and concord; and to us and all his servants, life everlasting. And the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit be with you, and all those whom you love, this day and always. CHORAL AMEN setting by T.T. Noble NATIONAL ANTHEM arr. Sir Edward Elgar God save our gracious Queen! Long live our noble Queen! God save the Queen! Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us: God save the Queen. Thy choicest gifts in store On her be pleased to pour, Long may she reign. May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice, God save the Queen. Please stand as the choir, clergy and Royal Party leave the chapel. ORGAN VOLUNTARY Charles-Marie Widor Marcia (from Symphonie 3)

Thistle Foundation supports people with disabilities and long term health conditions to lead great lives. Thistle was established almost 70 years ago by Sir Francis and Lady Tudsbery because they believed that disabled ex servicemen should be able to live in homes of their own, surrounded by their own families, by their own friends, and by their own belongings- and yet to be able to obtain on the spot all that skilled, medical attention which is so essential to their well -being, and which, up to now, has only been obtainable in a hospital. These pioneering goals have always underpinned Thistles work and today Thistle supports people to achieve their own personal hopes and aspirations, gain confidence and self esteem and make a contribution in society as valued citizens.
