The Reclaiming Scraper is the development of scraping conveyor which was introduced in Europe more than 90 years back. The Reclaiming Scraper was introduced for reclaiming material in open-cast mines in the begining of the 20 the Century. The actual scraping and loading done by scraper chain mechanism has ntroduced a relable and robust arrngement for handling of materal. Scalt Scraper, the frst scraper reclaimer was ntroduced in the world n 1925, in Germany for a long time, was known as Salt Scraper of Fertilizer Reclaiming Scraper. With the passage of time, new and better methods of its application were developed for scraping and reclaiming various types of materials. Though the basic system of a scraper reclaimer has remained the same for nearly 62 years, the construction of the machine has been simplified and made compact and its efficiency increased considerably. New types of models have been introduced to meet the ever-growng demand for a wide range of material handling systems. The Scraper REclaimers can be designed for handling materials from 50 tonnes/hr. to 2500 tones/hr. and more, depending on the type of material.

Wide Range
The Scraper Reclaimers fall into three major categories of operations : 1. Pivoting scraper (with translinear travel) 2. Rotating scraper (with circular travel) 3. TRanslinear movement scraper. Elecon as supplied pivoting scrapers (with bottom/overhead discharge) for several fertilizer plants. Bridge-type/Pylontype SCraper Reclaimers are in operation in cement plants, for handling limestone, clinker, coal and other materials.
