Daily - Proper function of daily test and self test to the DSC facilities without radiation of signal (DSC VHF & DSC MF/HF) - Function test and visual inspection of the printer and NBDP - Battery onload and offload test and voltage checks - Two way portable radio VHF telephony test on channel 16 - Appearance of equipment and conditon of radio room including lighting 2. Monthly - EPIRB test without transmitting - SART test and check display on RADAR X-Band - PV test of Inmarsat C - The condition of all aerials and insulators of GMDSS equipment 4. Yearly - Battery capacity test B. GMDSS LOG 1. Completion - Completed all required particulars of the ship and details of the radio certification - Details qualified personnel onboard - Diary record of : Summary communication relating distress, urgency, and safety.
