For more than ten years, the EasyCap EEG recording cap has been put to use in numerous renowned scientific facilities around the world. Particularly in areas, in which speed, high quality data collection (e.g. DC recordings) and simple but gentle impedance reduction were required, the EasyCap with its modular design concept is the right choice. Both the benefits of individual electrodes as well as the advantages of electrode caps are combined in the EasyCap. No compromises, but instead, the solution.

EasyCap EEG recording caps offer numerous advantages:

The EasyCap EEG recording cap may not be equipped with electrodes until right before the EEG recording. One set of electrodes may thus be used for several caps of different sizes. A significant advantage in price as compared to conventional caps.

Only use as many electrodes as is required for your experiment and avoid unnecessary artefacts caused by crosstalk on open channels. Change your electrode arrangement at any time based on the needs of your experimental design. Place reference and ground electrodes in any arbitrary position depending on where they are required. A large number of configurations as per 10-20, 10-10, 5% system or with equidistant arrangement are available on www.easycap.de. Expand your EasyCap with additional adaptors. Increase the number of channels on your EEG system your cap grows as well. Individual configurations in accordance with your needs and requirements are a part of our daily business. Defective individual electrodes can be exchanged within seconds during the recording process. Connectors for any existing EEG system are available. Adaptors for multiple uses of the electrodes for various different EEG systems can be configured; multipin plugs can be manufactured upon request. Special demagnetised electrodes for MEG devices as well as PET and MRT are available. Lead wire lengths, diameters and different colours to better differentiate the positions can be selected as needed. EasyCap GmbH is ISO certified. All parts and components are subject to a 100% inspection before they are delivered. Over 1000 users around the world confirm the highest quality and long use life.

EasyCap active - new technology, constant quality

EasyCap active: Active electrode technology has been integrated into the new EasyCap active. Impedance conversion circuits integrated into the electrode housing allow high quality recordings even with high electrode impedance values. Thus, preparation time is reduced significantly. Additionally, environmental noise and movement artefacts are nearly eliminated. EasyCap active may be used with almost every available EEG amplifier. Connectors are available upon request.

Current EasyCap users: Upgrade your EasyCap! Expand your existing EasyCap with active electrodes. The latest generation of EasyCap EEG recording caps makes it possible to prepare your test persons even quicker thanks to the active electrodes with integrated impedance converters. The electronic components are fitted directly into the electrode housing and minimize noise from the surrounding area as well as from movement artefacts significantly. Existing EasyCap EEG recording caps can be expanded with active ring electrodes. The active electrodes fit into your current electrode holder. No modifications are necessary. The EasyCap active can be equipped using adaptors for all popular EEG systems. Expand your set-up to an active EEG system for the use of all existing components. If you need to, you can switch back to passive electrodes (such as for TMS recordings) or you can change back to active electrodes (e.g. for children). Your Easy Cap can therefore be converted easily and be used for multiple purposes.

The name EasyCap represents a specialized, unique and patented concept, consisting of the following components: Electrode cap: The Oeko-Tex certified and skin kindness material, is custom manufactured to fit standard head sizes Electrode holder/adaptor: Measured separately and placed at standardized or individual/customized positions, they serve as place holders and allow, by means of coloured markings, a quick and error-free way of plugging in the electrodes. Ring electrodes: The high-quality electrodes made of Ag/AgCl (sintered material) allow along with a high level of DC stability also comfortable and easy impedance reduction.
