SOME MAKROOH ACTS IN NAMAAZ ARE:

Saying NAMAAZ BARE-HEADED due to LAZINESS or CARELESSNESS and to EXPOSE the ARMS ABOVE the ELBOWS.
PLAYING with CLOTHES or the BODY.
Performing Namaaz in CLOTHES in which people do NOT ORDINARILY LIKE to go OUT. To dust the floor with ones hands to prevent the soiling of clothes. Performing Namaaz when one has the URGE to URINATE or PASS STOOL. To CRACK ones FINGERS or PUTTING of FINGERS of one hand into FINGERS of the other HAND.
TURNING the FACE away from the QIBLAH and LOOKING AROUND.
It is MAKROOH for MEN to REST BOTH the ARMS and WRISTS on the GROUND in SAJDAH. Performing Namaaz when another person FACING him sits AHEAD. Yawning INTENTIONALLY and NOT PREVENTING it if one CAN do so.
CLOSING the EYES, but if it is done to CONCENTRATE in Namaaz, it is ALLOWED.
It is Makrooh for a Baaligh (mature) person to stand alone behind a Saff (row) when there is place in the Saff before him. Performing Namaaz in CLOTHES with PICTURES of LIVING OBJECTS on them. Performing Namaaz at a place where there is a PICTURE of a LIVING (animate) object ABOVE or on the RIGHT of LEFT side of the NAMAAZEE (person performing Namaaz) or on the place where the makes SAJDAH. To COUNT Aayats, Soorahs or Tasbeehs on FINGERS in Namaaz. Performing Namaaz with a SHEET or CLOTHES WRAPPED on the BODY in such a way that it makes it DIFFICULT to FREE the HANDS QUICKLY. To Yawn and STRETCH ARMS to REMOVE LAZINESS. Doing something AGAINST SUNNAT IN Namaaz.

To TALK in Namaaz KNOWINGLY or UNKNOWINGLY, a FEW WORDS or MANY will NULLIFY the Namaaz. To GREET a person by Assalamu Alaikum, or by any other method while performing Namaaz.
To REPLY to GREETINGS or saying Yarhamukallah to one who seezes and saying Ameen to a DUAA NOT CONNECTED to his Namaaz. To say Innaa Lil Laahi Wa Innaa Ilaihi Raajioon on some SAD NEWS or Alhamdullillah or Subhanallah on hearing some GOOD or STRANGE NEWS. To make NOISE or say OH or AAH! Due to PAIN etc. Correcting the Qiraa-at of a person other than his own Imaam. To RECITE the QURAAN by LOOKING at the TEXT. To do such an act which gives the IMPRESSION to ONLOOKERS that he is doing something else, rather than PERFORMING Namaaz. This is called AMALE KATHEER.
EATING or DRINKING KNOWINGLY or UNKNOWINGLY.
To Turn the CHEST away from the direction of QIBLAH without an EXCUSE. Doing SAJDAH at a NAJIS (impure) place.
DELAY in COVERING the SATR (private parts) when uncovered, to the extent of performing ONE RUKU (posture) in Namaaz. UTTERANCES in PAIN or TROUBLE.
An ADULTS LAUGHING ALOUD. To STEP AHEAD of the Imaam DURING the Namaaz. Making some GREAT ERROR in the QIRAA-AT of the HOLY QURAAN.

SITUATIONS IN WHICH IT IS PERMISSIBLE TO BREAK NAMAAZ
When there is an URGE to PASS URINE or STOOL
When a SNAKE, SCORPION or some other HARMFUL CREATURE or ANIMAL makes its APPEARANCE. When one FEARS that a TRAIN or transport on which one is to TRAVEL would DEPART and thus cause GREAT INCONVENIENCE. When one FEARS that a THIEF would get away with his SHOES or any other PROPERTY. It is WAAJIB to BREAK ones NAMAAZ in order to ANSWER a PARENT or a GRANDPARENT who has CALLED out in DISTRESS. Nevertheless, it is NOT NECESSARY when someone is AROUND to
ASSIST.
It is FARDH to BREAK ones Namaaz when it is FEARED that a BLIND PERSON would FALL into a PIT or a WELL if he is NOT STOPPED. It is FARDH to BREAK ones Namaaz when some person has caught on FIRE and requires ASSISTANCE.

MASBOOQ
A person who has missed any Rik- 'at and then joined the Jamaa-'at, he should continue the Salaat with the Imaam to the end. Once the Imaam turns to say the SECOND SALAAM, the MASBOOQ should stand up and complete the missed number of RAK'AAT.
If the MASBOOQ has missed only ONE RIK'AAT, he should stand up when the Imaam says the final SALAAM, and read THANA, TA'AWWAZ, TASMIAH, SURA FAATIHA and another SURA; and thereafter complete the
If the MASBOOQ has missed TWO RIK'AAT in the FAJR, ZUHR, ASR or ESHA; he should stand up when the Imaam says final Salaam, and read THANA, TA'AWWAZ, TASMIAH, SURA FAATIHA and another SURA in the first Rik'at, and only SURA FATIHA and another SURA in the second Rik'at and thereafter do QAADA and complete the Salaat. If however a MSABOOQ has missed TWO RIK'AAT in MAGHRIB Salaat, he should read, THANA, TA'AWWAZ, TASMIAH & SURA FAATIHA another SURA in the first Rik'at and sit for QAADAH, and thereafter stand and recite SURA FATIHA & another SURAT the last Rik'at and complete the Salaat.
If THREE Rak-'aat were missed in ZOHR, ASR or ESHA, the Masbooq should stand up after Imaams final Salaam and read THANA, TA'AWWAZ, TASMIAH, SURA FAATIHA and a Surah in the FIRST Rak'at, thereafter make Rukoo' and Sajdah but BEFORE standing up for the SECOND Rak'at, make QA'DAH (sit down), read Tashahhud and then stand up for the SECOND Rik' at. In the second Rak'at recite SURAH FAATIHAH and another SURAH, complete the second Rik'at and WITHOUT sitting for Tashahhud, stand up for the THIRD Rik'at. In the third Rik'at read ONLY SURAH FAATIHAH only and complete the Salaat. If a person has missed all the Rak'at of any Namaaz, then he should REPEAT the whole Namaaz after the Imaam has said the Salaam except that he should NOT raise his hands to say ALLAHU AKBAR (Takbeer) in the FIRST Rik'at. One should NOT join the Jamaa-'at after the Imaam recites the FIRST SALAAM to complete the Salaat. A PERSON SHOULD NOT RUN IN THE MUSJID T JOIN THE JAMAA- 'AT IF HE IS AFRAID OF MISSINGANY RAK'AT. IT IS NOT PROPER TO RUN IN THE MUSJID

A person who has joined the Imaam whilst the Imaam is in RUKOO' , will be regarded as one who has performed the complete Rak-' at. Once the Imaam has completed the Rukoo' and a person then joins the Imaam, he has missed a Rik-'at. Such a person is known as a MASBOOQ.

SAJDAH-E-SAHW
If anyone or several of the wajib acts of salaat is left out forgetfully, it becomes wajib to make sajdah-e-sahw. By making sajdah-e-sahw, the salaat becomes proper. If one does not make sajdahe-sahw, the salaat will have to be repeated. If one forgetfully leaves out a fard act of salaat, the salaat will not become proper by making sajdah-e-sahw. It wilI have to be repeated.
THE METHOD OF MAKING SAJDAH-E-SAHW

The method of making sajdah-e-sahw is that in the last rakaat the person should recite. The at-tahiyyaat only and thereafter make salaam towards the right only and then make two sajdahs and repeat the attahiyyaat and thereafter recite the durood, dua, make salaam to both sides and thereby complete his salaat. If a person forgetfully makes two rukus or three sajdahs, it is wajib to make Sajdah-e-sahw. While in salaat, a person forgot to recite Surah Faatihah and only recited another Surah, or he first recited a Surah and then recited Surah Faatihah sajdah-e-sahw will become wajib. To recite another Surah (after Surah Faatihah) in all the rakaats of sunnah and nafl salaat is wajib. If a person forgets to recite another Surah in any of the rakaats, he will have to make Sajdah-esahw. In a three or four rakaat fard sa/aat, when the person sat for the at-tahiyyaat in the second rakaat, and after the at-tahiyyaat if he recited the following from the durood:
or if he recited more than that and then remembered that he was supposed to stand up for the third rakaat, even then sajdah-e-sahw will become wajib, and if he recited less than this, sajdah-e-sahw will not become wajib. A person sat down for at-tahiyyaat but mistakenly recited something else, or he recited Surah Faatihah. Sajdah-e-sahw will become wajib.

In SHAREE-' AT a person who starts the journey of a place distant 77 kms. (48 miles) or more, from the end of his city of abode. Intends to REMAIN at the destination for LESS than 15 days, is called MUSAAFIR. A MUSAAFIR who intends remaining at his new destination for 15 days or more, will be reckoned as a Musaafir during his journey only. Once he reaches his destination, he will not be a Musaafir. A Musaafir should make QASR of the ZOHR, ASR and ESHA (FARDH only), Le. one must perform TWO Rikat Fardh only instead of FOUR Rak'aat. There is no QASR in the.Fardh of Fajr and Maghrib. Similarly, there is no QASR of Witr, Sunnat or Nafl Salaat. A MUSAAFIR who performs his Namaaz behind a MUQEEM IMAAM, (who is not a Musaafir) should perform the full four Rak'aat in the Zohr,Asr and Esha Fardh. If the Imaam is a MUSAFIR, he should inform the Muqeem Muqtadees that he would do Qasr in his Salaat, of Zuhr, Asr & Esha (as the case may be) so when he says the final salaam, the muqtadees should stand up and complete the remaining two Rak'aat.

SALAAT OF THE SICK

Say Salaat in standing (normal) position If you cannot stand, say Salaat in sitting position. If you cannot sit, say Salaat in lying position or with indications only.
Under no condition should Salaat be left out. As long as a person has the strength to stand up and offer his Salaat, he should stand up. If he cannot stand, he should sit down and offer his Salaat. He should make his Ruku while sitting. After the Ruku, he should go down for the two Sajdahs. He should make the Ruku in such a way that his forehead comes in line with his knees. If he is unable to make Ruku and Sajdah as well, he should make them by gestures (ishaarah) and he should bow down a little further for the Sajdahs. If a person does not have the strength to sit, he should lie down with a pillow or large cushion behind him in such a way that his head is raised quite high - in fact, close to the sitting position. His legs should be stretched towards the Qiblah. If he has some strength, he should not stretch them, instead, he should raise his knees. He should then offer his Salaat by making Ishaarah and the Ishaarah for the Sajdahs should be mire lower. If he cannot lie down by having a pillow or cushion behind him in such a way that his head and chest face the Qiblah, he should stretch his legs towards the Qiblah and lie flat on his back. However, he should place a pillow under his head so that at least his face could be in the direction of the Qiblah and not facing the sky. He should then offer his Salaat through Ishaarah, and the Ishaarah for the Sajdahs should be slightly more than the Ishaarah for the Ruku. If a person does not lie flat on his back, but instead lies on his left or right side while facing towards the Qiblah and makes Ruku and Sajdah with the Ishaarah of his head, then this is also permissible. However, it is better to lie flat on the back. Because of some sickness, a person offered part of his Salaat sitting down and also made the Ruku in the place of Ruku and the Sajdah in the place of Sajdah. Thereafter, he recovered in that very Salaat. He should therefore stand up and complete the remainder of his Salaat. If the bed of a sick person becomes impure and it will cause the sick person much difficulty if it were to be changed, it will be permissible to offer Salaat on that very bed. A doctor carried out an eye operation upon a person and prohibited him from moving about. He should continue offering his Salaat while lying down.

Oh you who believe! When the call is made for Salaatul Jummah (Friday Muslim Cargregation Prayers) hasten to the remembrance of Allah, and leave off all business. This is better for you, if you know. On Fridays instead of Zuhar prayers Jumuah Salat is Fardh on all FREE MAJOR, SANE , HEALTHY AND MUQEEM MEN. Greater emphasis has been laid on SALAATUL JUMUAH than on ZUHAR
PRAYERS.
It is FARDH on Minux CHILDREN , SLAVES, MAD , SICK , BLIND PERSONS , MUSAFIREEEN & WOMEN ,and those who have from valid excuse eg. fear of enemy or very heavy rain. They should perform ZUHAR PRAYERS in stand. THE CONDITIONS FOR PRAYING THE JUMU'AH SALAAT 1. 2. 3. 4. The Jumu'ah Salaat should be in a city, BIG VILLAGE or a TOWN like the CITY. It is NOT PROPER to perform the Jumu'ah Salaat in a Small Village. Jumu'ah should be performed at Zohr time.

THE MASNOON METHOD OF DELIVERING KHUTBAH
Before the Jumu'ah Salaat the Imaam should sit on the MIMBAR (pulpit - the raised platform in the Musjid) and the Muazzin should call out the Azaan in the presence of the Imaam. The Imaam should then stand up and deliver the KHUTBAH facing the congregation. It is MAKROOHE TAHREEMEE to deliver the KHUTBAH in any language besides ARABIC. After the FIRST Khutbah the Imaam should sit down for a while and then stand up again for the SECOND Khutbah. After the second Khutbah the Imaam should step down and stand in FRONT of the MEHRAAB or the ARCH. The Muazzin should call out the TAKBEER and those present should stand up and offer their Salaat with the IMAAM. The Azaan for the Khutbah could be said in FRONT of the Khateeb (the person delivering the Khutbah), near the Mimbar, from the Second or Third Row of the Musallees, at the END of the Rows or from outside the Musjid. It is ALLOWED in ALL the ways.

To say every Salaat at the specified time is FARD on every matured man & woman.
If however, any Salaat is not said at the right time, it is WAJIB (Compulsory) to read it later as QADHAA.
To DELAY any FARDH, WAJIB & SUNNAT-E-MUAKKIDHA Salaat intentionally is very sinful. If an individual has missed LESS than Six Salaat after puberty, he/she must do their QADHAA in the SAME order.
QADHAA-E-UMREE - If however an individual has missed MORE THAN SIX SALAAT after puberty, and is feeling repentant for the same, he/should perform their QADHAA as under.
Continue doing this until satisfied that the QADHAA of all missed Salaats has been performed. If however, this individual dies whilst he/she has not yet completed the QADHAA of all missed Salaats, it is earnestly hoped the Gracious Allah shall protect him from the punishment of the remaining missed Salaats on account of the individuals good intentions. The individual should try hard to recollect the exact days/timings of the prayers missed, and do their QADHAA in the same order. If it is not possible to recollect the exact days/timings of the missed Salaats, then ONE SHOULD immediately START DOING QADHAA of one missed Salaat at the time of each Salaat - with the Nayyat (intention) that he/she is doing QADHAA of the FIRST missed Salaat (of FAJR, ZUHAR, ASR, MAGHRIB or ESHA as the time be).

Two Rakaats of Salaat are also Sunnah at the time of lunar eclipse (Khusoof). However, Jamaat is not Sunnah for this Salaat. The people should offer this Salaat at their homes individually. It is not preferable to got to the Musjid.

At the time of solar eclipse (Kusoof) two Rakaats of Salaat are Sunnah.
Salaatul Kusoof has to be offered with Jamaat on the condition that it is led by the Imam of Jumuah Salaat, the ruler of that time or his deputy. According to one narration, it is permissible for the Imam of every Musjid to perform this Salaat in his Musjid.
There is no Adhaan or Iqaamah for Salaatul Kusoof. But in order to gather the people, this announcement can be made: As-Salaatu Jaamiatun i.e. The Salaat is about to commence with Jamaat. It is Sunnah to recite lengthy Surahs such as Surah Baqarah in Salaatul Kusoof, and also to lengthen the Ruku and Sajdahs. The qiraat should be made silently. After the Salaat, the Imam should occupy himself in dua and the Muqtadis should continue saying aameen to his duas. This dua should continue until the eclipse disappears. However, if in this state, the sun sets or the time of a certain Salaat enters, the dua should be stopped and the Salaat should be offered.
In the same way, if some fear or calamity is experienced, it is preferable to offer Salaat. For example: there is a severe Hoorricane, and earthquake, lightning, thunder storms, a lot of snow falls, very heavy rain falls, a certain disease such as cholera becomes rife or there is a fear of a certain enemy. However, whatever Salaat that is offered in this time should not be offered with Jamaat. Each person should offer his Salaat at home individually. When RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam experienced any difficulty or sorrow, he used to occupy himself in Salaat.

Prayers to seek rain
When there is a need for water and there are no rains, then at such a time it is Sunnah to make dua and ask Allah Subhanahu wa Taala for rains. The mustahab method of making dua for seeking rain is as follows: All the Muslims should get together with their children, elderly people and animals, and walk towards the jungle in a very helpless and humble way, dressed in very simple clothing. They should renew their feelings of repentance, fulfil the due rights of other fellow-beings, and should not take any Kaafir friends with them. At Jungle they should then offer two Rakaats of Salaat with Jamaat without any adhaan or iqaamah. The Imam should recite the Salaat in a loud voice. He should then deliver two Khutbahs just as they are delivered on Eid day. The Imam should then stand up facing the Qiblah and raise his hands and make dua to Allah Subhanahu wa Taala for rains. All those present should also make dua.

This should be done for three consecutive days and not more than that because this has not been established in the Shariah. If the rains begin to fall before they can go out to the jungle, or after offering this Salaat for one day, even then the three days should be completed. It is Mustahab to fast on these three days. It is also Mustahab to give something in charity before going.
