Text in field reference key does not appear in FBL3N

Can you tell me why reference key's content (text) in FI document doesn't appear when I execute FBL3N?

Please select Layout in FBL3N (http://benxbrain.com/en/sap/transaction/FBL3N-G-L-Account-Line-Items.htm) for text field and reference key. Otherwise check with your ABAP
(tech-tam) regarding Smart forms.

SE38

Then try with FBL3N (http://benxbrain.com/en/sap/transaction/FBL3N-G-L-Account-Line-Items.htm) It doesn't show the Text for old documents, it shows from the time you activate
the field and post the document.

Dear Sridhar,
Thank you for your answer.
I mean I've put the data into the reference key field in the document FI ex: 'Test'
but when I run FBL3N (http://benxbrain.com/en/sap/transaction/FBL3N-G-L-Account-Line-Items.htm) and select reference key column, the reference key is empty.
Kindly need your help..
