Professional Experience:
Present Employer Presently Working with Avida technologies, Bangalore as a Citrix Administrator. Our client provides global work force management solutions to veriety of customers. By giving them the tools they need to help them control labour costs, minimise compliance risk, and improve workforce productivity. The easy-to-own workforce management solutions make complete automation and high-quality information a reality. It take the complexities involved with recording time and attendance transactions, scheduling diverse workforces, and managing employee absence and simplify them. Variety of applications are maintained on shared servers and dedicated servers as well. My role is to provide support to our customers in resolving the application access issues in a timely manner and serving the customer requests. Performing daily health checks and ensuring that all the servers are up and running. we make sure that all the applications are available to our customers before their business hours. Testing the applications on UAT and raising an RFC for implementing the same in production. Installing the applications on Citrix servers by using IM and documenting the activities. Preparing the Standard Operation Procedures for future reference. The entire infrastructure is devided into 3 Farms which includes around 700 servers . As a System Administrator (Citrix) supporting Wintel Servers, VMWare ESX 4.0, Citrix XenApp farms.

Job Responsibilities Xenapp:


Performing Daily checks and weekly checks in all the Citrix servers in the farm. Installation of Citrix presentation server 4, 4.5, XenApp 5.0,6.0,6.5 and hot fixes in Citrix farm. Application deploying using Citrix Installation Manager, deploying

applications in AIE. Troubleshooting application related, user related, Server related issues. Coordinate with Application support team for application related issues. Isolating and un isolating the servers during Patch campaign. Troubleshooting TS licensing issues. Publishing new application/desktop for users through a service request. Generating reports as requested by clients using Report centre. Managing web interface servers. Profile issues Excellent knowledge in 1. Citrix Policies 2. Citrix printing 3. Publishing desktops, application & contents 4. Load Manager. Worked on L2 related issues on Xen desktop3.0 & 5.0. VDI creation using a template, VDI masterisation, Installing VDAgent. Administrating using Desktop Studio and Desktop Director Creating entry in DDC by defining Catalog and Desktop group and deleting the entries. Assigning Desktops to users. Upgrading the VDI. Bringing the machines from Unregistered state to registered state. Performing Health check of the entire infrastructure including DDCs and ensure that all VDI are available to the users.

ESX servers:
Creating machines using templates. Administrating Clusters of ESX servers 3.5,4.0 and VDI in Vsphere client. Converting a machine to Template. Vmotion, High availability and DRS. Good knowledge on the architecture of Vmware infrastructure and its components.

Additional Responsibilities:
Coordinating with Vmware team to resolve the VDI issues. Responsible to make sure the committed tasks or reports reach client in time. Co-ordination with on-site team in case of any High priority issues. Hosting weekly con calls with on-site team to discuss if there are any issues or concerns. Attending CAB meeting for change authorization.
