The purpose of establishing the Auto & Industrial Park is to service the following markets: Auto & Transportation: Auto Park will be able to serve the consumers of Automobile, Railways, Aviation and Ship-building industries as well as their components suppliers. Mechanical Engineering Industries This is a specialized market with focus on design, development and manufacturing of complex transport and material handling systems. Ancillary & Supporting Industries The industries, which shall support the main plants & units, such as refractories, spares, tools & hardwares, electrode, fittings, safety appliances, chemical/consumable, fly ash brick, packaging, transport and service industries, shall also be established.

Project Status
Signing of MoU: 19th Mar10 Form I & TEFR Submission to MoEF: 05th Sep11 th First Presentation of Terms of Reference (30 Expert Appraisal Committee Meeting): 28th Nov11 Justification to Points raised in Presentation of Terms of Reference presentation submitted to member secretary: 08th Dec11 nd Second Presentation of Terms of Reference (32 Expert Appraisal Committee Meeting): 27th Jan12 nd Resident Commissioner of Odisha attended the 32 Expert Appraisal Committee Meeting and stated that Govt. of Odisha is keen on the proposed project, as it would support many ancillary industries and generate around 39,000 employment opportunities in the state.
Current Status: MoEF has sought additional information for approval of Terms of Reference. It is being replied to.

271 Acre Pvt. Land in Cuttack District
Status
- 4(1) notification completed of 18th May11. -Socio Economic survey completed by XIMB. - Joint inspection conducted by IDCO, Executive Engg (PWD) and Ranger on valuation of standing trees, houses & structures. -Critical Issues: 1. Submission of joint inspection report with valuation to the office of Collector, Cuttack. 2. Processing of 6(1) Notification from office of Collector after valuation report is submitted to the office. -Lease documents pending with Office of Collector, Cuttack Critical Issues: 1. Forwarding of Lease Document to IDCO for further action at their end. - 4(1) notification completed of 30th Aug11. - Joint inspection conducted by IDCO, Executive Engg (PWD) and Ranger on valuation of standing trees, houses & structures. -Critical Issues: 1. Submission of joint inspection report with valuation to the office of Collector, Jajpur. 2. Processing of 6(1) Notification from office of Collector after valuation report is submitted to the office. Land classification details to be furnished : Critical Issues: 1. Details of Classification of Land to be sent to Tahasildar, Darpan from the office of Collector, Jajpur for forwarding of lease record to Collector. -Forest Diversion proposal along with maps submitted to IDCO. Critical Issues: 1. There is a dispute of 25.8 acres land between tahasildar Jagatpur and DFO, Cuttack . The CGM(Env.) sought a report from DFO, Cuttack for processing the file and send the maps & land schedule etc. to respective Tahasildars & DFO for processing Forest Diversion Proposal and send the file to PCCF, BBSR. 1. 130.9 Acres of Communal and Gochar land to be leased out in our favour by respective Collectors in lieu of similar quantity of compensatory land to be sourced and provided by us to government.

As Per Detailed project report prepared by (MECON), Total Land requirement was 2500 Acres. Based upon the benchmark set by the Govt. 1,800 Acres of land was recommended. Physically Allocated: 1790 Acres.
No Site approach: IDCO Corridor Road which would connect the project site is having land acquisition problem. Alternate route has been marked by IDCO, to be expedited.
