RADIO MULTIBANDA
Antes de la primera puesta en funcionamiento lea detenidamente las instrucciones de funcionamiento y gurdelas para su uso ms adelante. Al entregar el aparato a terceros entregue tambin estas instrucciones. Esta documentacin est protegida por derechos de autor. Cualquier reproduccin o copia incluso de forma extractada, as como la entrega a terceros de las figuras incluso en estado modificado, slo se puede realizar con autorizacin expresa por escrito del fabricante.

Uso conforme al previsto

Este aparato est previsto para la recepcin de emisoras de radio legales en general de todos los pases (receptor mundial) y para su uso domstico exclusivo. No se permite cualquier uso al descrito ya que de lo contrario podra conllevar daos y lesiones. No nos hacemos responsables de los daos por uso indebido o inadecuado, empleo de fuerza o bien modificaciones no autorizadas.

Indicaciones de seguridad
Este aparato no ha sido concebido para ser utilizado por personas (incluyendo nios) con discapacidad fsica, sensorial o psquica, o por aquellas que no tengan la suficiente experiencia o conocimientos, a no ser que, para su propia seguridad sean supervisadas por una persona responsable o reciban de ella las correspondientes instrucciones sobre su utilizacin. Vigile a los nios para asegurarse de que no juegan con el aparato. Para evitar una conexin involuntaria, desconecte el aparato de la red despus de cada uso y antes de cada limpieza. Controle el aparato y todas las piezas para comprobar si presentan daos visibles. El concepto de seguridad del aparato solo funcionar en estado correcto. Un adaptador de red conectado al aparato siempre debe estar bien accesible para que en caso de emergencia se pueda separar el aparato rpidamente de la red elctrica.

Peligro de descarga elctrica!

Conecte la fuente de alimentacin de clavija slo a una base de enchufe instalada correctamente y puesta a tierra de acuerdo con la normativa. La tensin de red debe corresponderse a los datos de la placa de caractersticas del aparato. Adaptadores o cables de red defectuosos debern ser inmediatamente sustituidos por personal profesional autorizado o el servicio postventa para evitar accidentes. Encargue inmediatamente la reparacin o la sustitucin de aparatos o cables de conexin si estos no funcionan perfectamente o han sido daados. No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua. Lmpielo solo con un pao ligeramente hmedo. No exponga el aparato a la lluvia ni tampoco lo utilice nunca en un ambiente hmedo o mojado. Preste atencin a que el cable de conexin no se moje nunca durante el funcionamiento. No est permitido abrir o reparar la carcasa del aparato. En este caso no est garantizada la seguridad y se anula la garanta. Proteja el aparato contra el agua y salpicaduras de agua. Por ello no coloque objetos llenos de lquido (p.ej. jarrones) sobre o al lado del aparato.

Riesgo de incendio!
No utilice el aparato en la proximidad de superficies calientes. No coloque el aparato en lugares que estn expuestos directamente a la radiacin solar. En caso contrario podra sobrecalentarse y daarse de forma irreparable. No deje nunca el aparato sin vigilancia durante su funcionamiento.

 No tape nunca las ranuras de ventilacin del aparato cuando est conectado. No coloque objetos que puedan provocar fuego, como p.ej. velas, sobre y cerca del aparato.

Peligro de lesiones!
Mantenga alejados a los nios de los cables de conexin y del aparato. Los nios subestiman frecuentemente los peligros de los aparatos elctricos. En caso de que el aparato se haya cado y est daado, no deber ponerlo en funcionamiento de nuevo. Deje que compruebe el aparato personal profesional cualificado y, si fuera necesario, que lo repare. Los nios no deben tener acceso a las pilas. Los nios pueden meterse las pilas en la boca y tragrselas.En caso de ingestin accidental de una pila hay que avisar inmediatamente a un mdico.

Tormenta!
En caso de una tormenta, los aparatos conectados a la red elctrica podran daarse. Por eso, en caso de una tormenta desconecte el aparato siempre de la red.

Advertencia sobre tensiones transitorias (EFT/transitorio elctrico rpido) y descargas electroestticas:

En caso de un fallo por transitorios elctricos rpidos (tensin transitoria) o descargas electroestticas se deber volver a iniciar el producto para restablecer el funcionamiento normal. Posiblemente se deber interrumpir la alimentacin elctrica y volver a conectar el aparato a la red. Se debern retirar las pilas (si estn puestas) y volver a colocarlas.

Indicaciones para la desconexin de la red

La tecla POWER de este aparato no lo desconecta completamente de la red elctrica. Adems, el aparato consume corriente elctrica en el modo Standby. Para desconectar el aparato completamente de la red se debe desenchufar el adaptador de red de la toma de corriente.

Indicaciones para el manejo de las pilas

El aparato funciona con pilas. A la hora de manipular las pilas, por favor, observe lo siguiente:

Peligro de explosin!
No tire nunca las pilas al fuego. No vuelva a cargar las pilas. No abra nunca las pilas, jams se debern efectuar soldaduras en las pilas. Existe el peligro de explosin y de lesiones! Compruebe las pilas regularmente. Las pilas que derramen lquido pueden daar el aparato. Cuando no vaya a utilizar el aparato durante un periodo prolongado, extraiga las pilas. En caso de que las pilas hayan derramado lquido pngase guantes de proteccin. Limpie el compartimento de las pilas y los contactos con un pao seco.

Atencin!
Por daos en el aparato, causados por humedad, agua que haya penetrado en el aparato o sobrecalentamiento no se asumir ninguna responsabilidad/garanta!

Puesta en funcionamiento
Desembalar el aparato
Retire todos los materiales de embalaje.

Atencin!
No permita que los nios pequeos jueguen con los plsticos. Existe peligro de asfixia!

Comprobar el volumen de suministro

Al desembalar, cercirese de que se hayan incluido las piezas siguientes: Receptor mundial Fuente de alimentacin Auricular Bolsa para guardarlo Este manual de instrucciones

Alimentacin por red y con pilas

Si desenchufa el aparato de la toma de corriente, perder los ajustes que haya realizado (hora, alarma, emisoras de radio). Si desea mantener dichos ajustes, inserte primero las pilas (ver ms abajo) antes de desenchufar el aparato de la toma de corriente.

Insertar las pilas

En lugar desde la red, tambin se puede hacer funcionar el aparato con pilas (no incluidas en el volumen de suminsitro). Necesitar cuatro pilas Mignon de 1,5 V, tipo AA/LR6. Abra el compartimento para pilas en la parte posterior del aparato empujando la tapa hacia abajo.

Coloque las cuatro pilas en el compartimento, teniendo en cuenta su respectiva polaridad +/-. Vuelva a colocar en su sitio la tapa del compartimento. Si las pilas estn demasiado dbiles, se sealiza este hecho mediante smbolo parpadeante . A continuacin se apaga el aparato.

Conexin a la red
Conecte la clavija del aparato de un adaptador de red a la toma Conecte el adaptador de red con una toma de corriente bien accesible. Para evitar que alguien tropiece con ellos, no utilice cables de prolongacin.

AC ~9V 400 mA del lado del aparato.

Indicacin:
Conectada la fuente de alimentacin, el aparato es alimentado con corriente slo a travs de la fuente de alimentacin y no por medio de las pilas. Las pilas insertadas no son cargadas. Cuando se utiliza de forma prolongada la fuente de alimentacin, deber extraer las pilas del compartimiento de las pilas. De lo contrario existe riesgo que se puedan derramar las pilas.

Conectar los auriculares

En la parte lateral izquierda del aparato se encuentra la salida para auriculares.

Atencin!
Utilice exclusivamente los auriculares suministrados del tipo E105 en combinacin con este aparato.

 Conecte la clavija jack de los auriculares a la salida para auriculares. Los altavoces se desconectarn automticamente.

Atencin: Escuchar msica durante mucho tiempo a travs de los auriculares con el volumen alto puede provocar problemas de audicin!

Funciones generales
Bloqueo de teclas
Para evitar que al tocar accidentalmente las teclas se cambien los ajustes, se puede activar el bloqueo de las teclas. Con la radio conectada pulse y mantenga pulsada la tecla MEM durante 3 segundos aprox. En la pantalla parpadea la indiacin Ahora. Todas las teclas excepto las teclas SNOOZE y MEM se encuentran bloqueadas. Vuelva a pulsar la tecla MEM y mantngala pulsada durante aprox. 3 segundos para desactivar el bloqueo de las teclas. La indicacin desaparecer de la pantalla.

Iluminacin de la pantalla
Pulse cualquier tecla para iluminar la pantalla. La pantalla permanece iluminada durante aprox. 15 segundos.

Pie
Despliegue el pie de posicionamiento que se halla en la parte trasera del aparato para colocarlo en una posicin ms estable.

Funciones de fecha y hora

Establecida la alimentacin de tensin (funcionamiento de red o a batera) comienza la hora del receptor universal a 0:00 00. Realice el ajustes de la hora y de la flecha segn lo indicado en los apartados siguientes. Las funciones de hora slo se pueden ajustar con radio desconectada. Si se separe el aparato de la red elctrica o se retiran las pilas, se perdern los ajustes.

Hora, fecha, zona horaria y tiempo universal

Mediante la tecla MODE se pueden ajustar la hora, la fecha y la zona horaria. Adems se puede consultar y ajustar la hora mundial, la alarma de la fecha, recepcin de onda media, interrupcin de la hora de despertador, el modo horas. Si pulsa la tecla MODE con radio apagada, parpadea la funcin que desea ajustar durante unos 15 segundos aprox. Realice el correspondiente ajuste durante ese intervalo de tiempo con las teclas UP/DOWN. Pulsar MODE 1 veces: Ajustar la hora Pulsar MODE 2 veces: Ajustar la fecha Pulsar MODE 3 veces: Ajustar la zona horaria (Local City) Pulsar MODE 4 veces: Indicacin del tiempo universal Pulsar MODE 5 veces: Alarma de fecha Pulsar MODE 6 veces: Ajustar la zona de recepcin para onda media. Pulsar MODE 7 veces: Ajustar la interrupcin de la alarma. Pulsar MODE 8 veces: Ajustar el modo 12/24 horas. Para almacenar un ajuste realizado, slo tiene que esperar hasta que la indicacin deje de parpadear (la pantalla regresa a la indicacin de la hora), o pulse la tecla MODE para acceder a la siguiente funcin.

Ajustar la hora Pulse MODE una vez. En la pantalla parpadea la ltima hora seleccionada. Pulse la tecla UP o DOWN , para hacer avanzar o retroceder la hora en
pasos de minutos. Mantenga pulsada una de las dos teclas durante unos segundos, para hacer avanzar o retroceder el tiempo a mayor velocidad, en intervalos de diez minutos.

Ajustar la fecha Pulse MODE otra vez, o sea, dos veces.

En la pantalla parpadear la fecha ajustada (despus de la primera puesta en funcionamiento aparece Su 1.01.12). Pulse la tecla UP o DOWN, para avanzar o retroceder en la fecha. Mantenga pulsada una de las teclas durante unos segundos para hacer avanzar o retroceder la fecha en intervalos de diez das. La indicacin de los das de la semana se adapta automticamente. Los das de la semana se indican con las dos primeras letras de sus nombres en ingls. El calendario incluido va del 2000 hasta 2099.

Ajustar la zona horaria Pulse MODE otra vez, o sea, tres veces. En la pantalla parpadea la
zona horaria ajustada en forma de la abreviatura de la ciudad correspondiente a esa zona (en la primera puesta en funcionamiento del aparato aparece UTC); la indicacin horaria desaparece. Pulse la tecla UP o DOWN , para avanzar o retroceder hacia la zona horaria siguiente o anterior.

La siguiente tabla muestra las abreviaturas de las ciudades para cada zona horaria y las diferencias horarias.

Universal Time Coordinated (espaol: tiempo universal coordinado). La hora UTC es la hora de referencia a partir de la que se calculan las horas de las diferentes zonas horarias de la tierra.

Indicacin del tiempo universal Pulse MODE otra vez, o sea, cuatro veces, para que se indique el tiempo
universal. Parpadear la abreviatura de la ciudad con la indicacin horaria correspondiente. Pulse la tecla UP o DOWN, para avanzar o retroceder hacia la zona horaria siguiente o anterior.

Advertencia:
Para mostrar la hora mundial ajustada correctamente, deber ajustar la diferencia del horario de verano segn la hora mundial correctamente (vase tabla).

Diferencia de horario de verano

No todas las zonas horarias del mundo diferencia entre horario de verano y de invierno. Para ajustar la hora mundial correctamente, deber ajustar la diferencia respecto al horario de verano segn la zona horaria. Pulse mientras que parpadea la visualizacin de la zona horaria la tecla SNOOZE las veces necesarias, hasta que se ajuste la diferencia de hora correspondiente (vase tabla).

Alarma de fecha especial

Pulse la tecla MODE por quinta vez para ajustar la alarma de fecha especial. En la pantalla parpadean alternando la indicacin SDA1 y la fecha. Pulse la tecla PAGE, para cambiar entre diez alarmas de fecha ajustables (SDA1 - SDA 10). Pulse la tecla UP o DOWN, para ajustar la fecha en la que desea que suene la alarma. Pulse la tecla SNOOZE para ignorar la indicacin del ao; de este modo la alarma sonar cada ao. Si la fecha actual coincide con la alarma SDA, suena este da desde las 8:00 - 23:00 horas un tono de aviso cada hora completa durante 10 minutos. En pantalla parpadea adicionalmente la indicacin SDA. Apague la alarma pulsando cualquier tecla.

Advertencia:
Para desactivar la alarma de fecha completamente, ajuste una fecha del pasado!

Ajustar el modo de 12/24 horas Pulse la tecla MODE ocho veces. En la pantalla aparece la indicacin
24 HR para el modo de 24 horas. Pulse la tecla UP para ajustar el modo de 24 horas. Pulse la tecla DOWN para ajustar el modo de 12 horas. En la pantalla aparece 12 HR. Para las horas de la tarde, aparecer adicionalmente PM en la pantalla.

Seleccin del modo de presentacin

Puede seleccionar la informacin que quiera ver en pantalla cuando la radio est apagada. En pantalla aparece el smbolo que indica el modo correspondiente. Cuando la radio est apagada, seleccione el modo de indicacin pulsando repetidas veces la tecla FINE de acuerdo con la siguiente tabla: Smbolo en la pantalla modo de indicacin CLOCK slo se indica la hora CITY se indican alternando la hora y el tiempo universal DATE se indican alternando la hora y la fecha CITY DATE se indican alternando la hora, la fecha y el tiempo universal

Funcin despertador
El receptor mundial pone a su disposicin las dos horas de alarma, que se pueden ajustar de forma independiente entre s, AL1 y AL2. Para ambas puede ajustar ...si el dispositivo debe emitir la alarma todos los das laborables, el fin de semana, toda la semana o un da de la semana particular; ...si desea ser despertado con el tono de alarma o con la radio.

Ajustar la hora de la alarma

Con su receptor universal se pueden programar dos alarmas. Funcin despertador Radio Avisos acsticos Desconectado ningn smbolo Smbolo en pantalla

Pulse con radio apagada la tecla VOL.+/AL1 (o bien VOL.-/AL2). En pantalla aparecer la ltima hora de alarma ajustada y el smbolo para el tipo de alarma. Pulse la tecla UP o DOWN , para hacer avanzar o retroceder la hora en pasos de minutos. Mantenga pulsada una de las dos teclas durante unos segundos, para hacer avanzar o retroceder el tiempo a mayor velocidad, en intervalos de diez minutos. Pulse la tecla VOL.+/AL1 (o VOL.-/AL2) varias veces hasta que en pantalla aparezca la funcin despertador deseada (vase la tabla ms arriba). Pulse la tecla SNOOZE para ajustar los das de la semana en los que desea ser despertado: Puede elegir entre das laborables (Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr), Fin de semana (Su, Sa), la semana completa (Su, Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa) o bien das individuales de la semana. El ajuste seleccionado es mostrado en la pantalla. Pulse la tecla SNOOZE varias veces hasta que estn ajustados los das en los que desea ser despertado. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SNOOZE hasta que en la pantalla aparezca un nico da laboral.

 Pulse la tecla SNOOZE para ajustar el da de la semana deseado. Para volver a la seleccin de das laborables, fines de semana o toda la semana, vuelva a mantener pulsada brevemente la tecla SNOOZE. Pulse la tecla MODE para memorizar el ajuste y para volver al modo de hora. Tambin se memorizar el ajuste si espera aprox. 15 segundos hasta que se vuelva a indicar la hora.

Si suena la alarma ...

y si est seleccionada la funcin despertador Radio, la radio funcionar durante una hora con un volumen de alarma predefinido. Para apagar la radio pulse la tecla VOL.+/AL1 o VOL.-/AL2. y si se ha seleccionado la funcin despertador Seales acsticas, sonarn las seales acsticas durante 10 minutos. Para apagar la alarma pulse la tecla VOL.+/AL1 o VOL.-/AL2.

Advertencia:
Tenga presente que la emisora de radio seleccionada anteriormente sonar con el ltimo volumen utilizado para el despertador.

Ajustar la interrupcin de la alarma

Con la radio apagada pulse 7x la tecla MODE. En pantalla aparecer el intervalo de interrupcin de alarma ajustado (en la primera puesta en funcionamiento SNO 10). Con las teclas UP y DOWN puede ajustar la interrupcin de la alarma entre 1 y 59 minutos.

Desactivar la funcin despertador Pulse la tecla VOL.+/AL1 o VOL.-/AL2 varias veces hasta que en pantalla
desaparezcan los smbolos de alarma correspondientes.

Funcin cronmetro
La funcin cronmetro solamente est disponible si la radio est desconectada. Pulse la tecla PAGE y mantngala pulsada durante aprox. 2 segundos; en pantalla aparece 0.00 0 U. Pulse la tecla SNOOZE, para poner en marcha el cronmetro. La duracin mxima cronometrable son 39 minutos y 59 segundos. Si sobrepasa el cronmetro la hora mxima, en el display se visualiza y parpadea la indicacin 39:59.0. Durante el cronometraje se puede interrumpir el mismo pulsando la tecla SNOOZE. Al volver a pulsar la tecla SNOOZE el cronometraje prosigue. Mantenga pulsada la tecla SNOOZE para restablecer el cronmetro. Al pulsar la tecla PAGE se abandona el cronmetro.

Funcin de cuenta atrs

La funcin de cuenta atrs solamente est disponible cuando la radio est apagada.

Ajustar y memorizar la cuenta atrs Pulse la tecla MEMORY SCAN y mantngala pulsada durante aprox.
2 segundos; en pantalla aparece 0.00 D. Parpadea la D. Pulse la tecla UP o DOWN para ajustar el tiempo deseada. En las teclas de memoria estn preajustados los 5 tiempos de cuenta atrs, a los que podr acceder directamente pulsando la tecla de memoria correspondiente: Tecla M.0/5 5:00 Tecla M.1/6 10:00 Tecla M.2/7 15:00 Tecla M.3/8 20:00 Tecla M.4/9 25:00 Pulse la tecla MEM, para memorizar la hora ajustada; en pantalla aparecer la indicacin de la posicin de memoria MEM. Ahora, seleccione con las teclas M.0/5 - M.4/9 una posicin de memoria; al pulsar la tecla de memoria correspondiente se memoriza la hora en esta posicin de memoria y se sobrescribir el tiempo memorizado anteriormente. Al volver a pulsar la tecla MEMORY SCAN se abandona el modo de cuentra atrs.

Acceder a la funcin de cuenta atrs y activarla Pulse la tecla MEMORY SCAN y mantngala pulsada durante aprox.
2 segundos; en pantalla aparece la indicacin 0.00 D. Seleccione el respectivo tiempo de cuenta atrs memorizado mediante las teclas de memoria M.0/5 - M.4/9. Pulse la tecla SNOOZE para iniciar la cuenta atrs. Al volver a pulsar la tecla SNOOZE la cuenta atrs se interrumpe. Cuando la cuenta atrs ajustada llega a cero, sonar una seal de alarma durante un minuto, cuyo volumen aumentar gradualmente. Pulse la tecla MEMORY SCAN para interrumpir la cuenta atrs o abandonar el modo de cuenta atrs.

Radio
Conexin/Volumen Pulse la tecla POWER para encender la radio.
En pantalla aparecer brevemente ON y, a continuacin, la emisora de radio sintonizada actualmente y su banda de frecuencia. Ajuste el volumen mediante las teclas VOL.+/AL1 o VOL.-/AL2: Tecla VOL.-/AL2: bajar el volumen; Tecla VOL.+/AL1: subir el volumen. El volumen es mostrado a travs de una indicacin de barras en la parte izquierda en el display.

Activar el amplificador de bajos

Cuando la radio est encendida, pulse la tecla BASS para activar el amplificador de bajos. En pantalla aparece la indicacin BASS. Para desactivar el amplificador de bajos, vuelva a pulsar la tecla BASS. Se apaga la indicacin BASS.

Cambiar la indicacin en la pantalla En el modo de radio, pulse la tecla MODE, para cambiar entre la indicacin de la hora y de la frecuencia.

Desconectar
Para apagar la radio pulse la tecla POWER. En la pantalla aparece brevemente OFF a continuacin vuelve a aparecer la hora.

Funcin temporizador Mediante la tecla SNOOZE tambin puede activar la funcin temporizador.
Puede ajustar el temporizador en unidades de diez minutos y hasta un total de 90 minutos, para que, transcurrido el tiempo indicado, la radio se apague automticamente. Para ello, desconecte primero la radio. Pulse la tecla SNOOZE. Aparecer el smbolo de la funcin temporizador y 90 (para 90 minutos). Pulse repetidas veces la tecla SNOOZE hasta que en la pantalla aparezca 90 para reducir el intervalo del temporizador en unidades de diez minutos. Seleccione la cantidad de minutos en el temporizador (el smbolo del temporizador sigue en pantalla) o siga pulsando la tecla SNOOZE, hasta que aparezca 00 en la pantalla. Ahora el temporizador est apagado.

Sintonizar las emisoras

Mediante el seleccionador de la banda correspondiente seleccione la banda de frecuencia deseada (FM, MW, LW o SW). En pantalla aparecer la abreviatura correspondiente. Mediante las teclas UP o DOWN ajuste la frecuencia de recepcin deseada. Si mantiene pulsada una de las teclas UP o DOWN durante aprox. 3 segundos, se iniciar la bsqueda automtica. La bsqueda se detendr tan pronto como encuentre una emisora con suficiente potencia de emisin.

Ajustar la banda de onda media AM

Puesto que los sistemas de emisin de radio son distintos segn el pas, deber efectuar un ajuste mediante la seleccin de la zona de recepcin:

Con la radia apagada puse seis veces la tecla MODE y seleccione a continuacin con la tecla UP o bien DOWN, la gama de sintonizacin correspondiente conforme a la tabla siguiente:

Sintonizacin fina de emisoras

Si no logra encontrar una emisora de forma exacta se puede mejorar la recepcin mediante una sintonizacin fina. Durante la bsqueda de emisoras pulse la tecla FINE; en la pantalla aparecer la indicacin FINE. Ajuste ahora con UP o bien DOWN la frecuencia de recepcin elegida con pasos de frecuencia pequeos. Al pulsar nuevamente la tecla FINE, se vuelve a abandonar la sintonizacin fina de emisoras. Esta funcin no est disponible en la gama de frecuencia de onda larga.

Antena
La antena telescpica orientable del aparato es efectiva para las bandas de frecuencia FM y SW. Extienda la antena en su totalidad y orintela hasta obtener la mejor recepcin. Mediante el interruptor SW SEN. que se encuentra en la parte izquierda del aparato, se puede mejorar la calidad de recepcin para la banda de frecuencia de onda corta. Seleccione LX para emisoras potentes y DX para mejorar la recepcin de emisoras dbiles.

La antena telescpica no tiene ningn efecto para la recepcin de las bandas de frecuencia AM y LW. En esta zona el aparato recibe las emisoras mediante la antena de ferrita incorporada. Mueva todo el aparato hasta obtener la mejor recepcin.

Funciones de memorizacin
Memorizacin de emisoras
El receptor mundial puede memorizar 400 emisoras. Para memorizar una emisora, proceda de la siguiente forma: Con el selector de banda, ajuste la banda de frecuencia y a continuacin la emisora que desea memorizar. Pulse la tecla MEM. En pantalla aparece la pgina de memorizacin PAGE y la indicacin MEM parpadea. Antes de que transcurran 10 segundos, pulse la tecla PAGE (la indicacin PAGE parpadea) y, a continuacin, seleccione con las teclas UP o DOWN una pgina (von 00 - 39). Antes de que transcurran 10 segundos, seleccione con las teclas M.0/5 - M.4/9 la posicin de memoria en la que desea archivar la emisora. Pulse p.ej. la tecla M.0/5 una vez para la posicin de memoria 0 y otra vez para la posicin de memoria 5. La posicin aparecer en pantalla. Vuelva a pulsar MEM para memorizar la emisora. Ahora, las indicaciones PAGE y MEM aparecen permanentemente.

Advertencia:
Si el adaptador de red est conectado con el receptor universal y no se han colocado pilas, se perdern las posiciones de memoria al desenchufar el aparato de la red.

Seleccionar una emisora memorizada

Para seleccionar directamente una emisora memorizada, ajuste primero mediante el selector de banda la banda de frecuencia en la que se encuentra la emisora. Pulse la tecla PAGE y seleccione con las teclas UP o DOWN una pgina (de 00 - 39). Antes de que transcurran 10 segundos, seleccione con las teclas M.0/5 - M.4/9 la posicin de memoria en la que la emisora est archivada. La emisora se reproduce inmediatamente despus de haber introducido la posicin de memoria.

Activar la bsqueda automtica de emisoras

Su receptor universal puede explorar las frecuencias de una banda y guardar las emisoras encontradas en la memoria. Para activar esta bsqueda automtica de emisoras (Automatic Memory Scan / AMS), proceda de la siguiente forma: Pulse la tecla MEM una vez. El indicador MEM parpadea. Mantenga pulsada la tecla MEMORY SCAN durante aprox. 1 segundo. El receptor universal explora todas las frecuencias de la actual banda de frecuencia ajustada y memoriza las emisoras encontradas a partir de la pgina y la posicin de memoria actuales.

Acceder a las posiciones de memoria Pulse la tecla MEMORY SCAN, para acceder a todas las emisoras memorizadas de la banda de frecuencia seleccionada. Escuchar sucesivamente cada una de las emisoras memorizadas durante aproximadamente 15 segundos. Pulse la tecla SNOOZE, para finalizar la reproduccin de los puestos de memoria.

Indicacin: Tenga en cuenta que con ello se activa la funcin de repeticin de alarma. Pulse la tecla SNOOZE las veces necesarias hasta que aparezca 00 en el display.

Limpieza
Peligro de muerte por descarga elctrica:
Desconecte el aparato de la red eltrica antes de limpiarlo! No sumerja jams las piezas del aparato en agua u otros lquidos! Evite que cualquier liquido penetre en la carcasa.

Limpieza de la carcasa:
Limpie la superficie de la carcasa con un pao ligeramente hmedo. No utilice nunca gasolina, disolventes o detergentes que puedan daar el plstico!

Eliminacin
Eliminar el aparato
Ni tire bajo ningn concepto el aparato a la basura domstica normal. Elimine el aparato a travs de una instalacin de eliminacin autorizada o un centro de eliminacin pblico. Pericolo di scossa elettrica!

Connettere l'alimentatore a spina solo a una presa installata a norma e provvista di messa a terra. La tensione di rete deve corrispondere ai dati riportati sulla targhetta tipo dell'apparecchio. Far sostituire immediatamente gli alimentatori a spina dal personale autorizzato o dallassistenza clienti al fine di evitare possibili pericoli. Far riparare o sostituire immediatamente dallassistenza clienti i cavi di collegamento e gli apparecchi che non funzionano perfettamente o che risultano danneggiati. Non immergere mai lapparecchio in acqua. Pulirlo solamente con un panno leggermente umido. Non esporre lapparecchio alla pioggia e non utilizzarlo mai in ambiente umido o bagnato. Fare attenzione che il cavo di collegamento non si bagni o si inumidisca durante il funzionamento. Non aprire o riparare lalloggiamento dellapparecchio. Pericolo di incendio!

Pericolo di lesioni
Tenere i bambini lontani dal cavo di collegamento e dallapparecchio. I bambini sottovalutano spesso i pericoli connessi agli apparecchi elettrici. Temporale!
In caso di temporale gli apparecchi collegati alla corrente possono venire danneggiati. Perci, durante i temporali estrarre sempre la spina dalla presa.

Avvertenza relativa alle tensioni ad impulso (EFT/ transitorio elettrico veloce) e scariche elettrostatiche:
In casi di funzionamento scorretto a causa di transitori elettrici veloci (tensione ad impulso) e scariche elettrostatiche, il prodotto deve essere resettato per ripristinare il normale funzionamento. probabile che lapprovvigionamento di corrente debba essere interrotto e poi nuovamente collegato. Le pile (se disponibili) devono essere estratte e nuovamente inserite.

Avvertenza sullinterruzione dellalimentazione

Lapparecchio non viene scollegato completamente dalla rete elettrica tramite il tasto POWER. Inoltre lapparecchio assorbe corrente in modalit standby. Per scollegare lapparecchio completamente dalla corrente, necessario estrarre lalimentatore a spina dalla presa di corrente.

Avvertenze sullutilizzo delle pile

Lapparecchio utilizza delle pile. Per lutilizzo delle pile fare attenzione a quanto segue:

Pericolo di esplosione!
Non gettare le pile nel fuoco. Non ricaricare le pile. Non aprire mai le pile. Non compiere mai lavori di saldatura o brasatura alle pile. Pericolo di esplosione e di lesione! Controllare le pile regolarmente. Pile esaurite possono danneggiare lapparecchio. Se lapparecchio non viene utilizzato per periodi di tempo prolungato, rimuovere le pile. Indossare guanti di protezione in caso di perdite di acido dalle pile. Pulire lo scomparto delle pile e i contatti delle pile con un panno asciutto.

Messa in funzione
Estrarre lapparecchio dalla confezione.

Funzionamento a rete e a batteria

Se lapparecchio viene staccato dalla corrente, eventuali impostazioni effettuate (ora, orario sveglia, stazioni radio) vanno perse. Eventualmente inserire prima le pile (vedi sotto), se si desidera salvare le impostazioni e staccare quindi solo in seguito lapparecchio dalla corrente.

Inserire le pile
Oltre che a corrente lapparecchio funziona tramite pile (non in dotazione). A tal fine sono necessarie quattro pile Micro da 1,5 V, tipo AA/LR6. Aprire il vano delle pile sul retro dellapparecchio facendo scorrere il coperchio verso il basso. Posizionare le quattro pile nel vano rispettando la polarit.

 Far scorrere nuovamente il coperchio sul vano. Se le pile si scaricano, il display lo segnala tramite il simbolo lampeggiante . Infine, l'apparecchio si spegne.

Collegamento alla rete elettrica

Collegare lo spinotto dellalimentatore alla presa contrassegnata con Collegare lalimentatore a spina con una presa ben raggiungibile. Per evitare di inciampare a causa di ostacoli, non azionare lapparecchio con prolunghe.

AC ~9V 400 mA presente a fianco dellapparecchio.

Avviso:
se l'alimentatore a spina collegato, l'apparecchio viene alimentato solo attraverso l'alimentatore a spina e non tramite le pile. Le pile inserite non vengono caricate. In caso di impiego pi prolungato dell'alimentatore a spina, rimuovere le pile dal vano pile, altrimenti sussiste il pericolo che esse si deteriorino.

Collegare le cuffie
Luscita per le cuffie si trova sul lato sinistro dellapparecchio.

Attenzione!
Utilizzare esclusivamente l'accluso auricolare tipo E105 in connessione con il presente apparecchio. Inserire la presa jack delle cuffie nelluscita preposta. Lautoparlante si spegne automaticamente.

Attenzione:
L'ascolto di musica con le cuffie per periodi troppo lunghi o ad alto volume pu causare danni all'udito!

Funzioni generali
Blocco tasti
Per evitare che attraverso movimenti non intenzionali vengano modificate le impostazioni dei tasti, possibile attivare il blocco tasti. Con la radio accesa premere e tenere premuto il tasto MEM per circa 3 secondi. Sul display lampeggia la scritta Tutti i tasti, escluso il tasto SNOOZE e il tasto MEM, sono ora bloccati. Spingere e tenere premuto il tasto MEM nuovamente per ca. 3 secondi per rimuovere il blocco tasti. Sul display lindicazione scompare.

Illuminazione display
Premete un qualsiasi tasto per illuminare il display. Il display viene illuminato per ca. 15 secondi.

Base
Estrarre la base posta sul fianco dellapparecchio per collocarlo in modo pi stabile.

Funzioni orarie
Dopo aver inserito l'alimentazione di tensione (di rete o tramite pile), l'orario del ricevitore mondiale impostato su "0:00 00". Eseguire l'impostazione di ora e data come spiegato nelle seguenti sezioni. Le funzioni relative all'orario possono essere eseguite solo con la radio spenta. Le impostazioni eseguite andranno perdute se l'apparecchio viene scollegato dalla rete o vengono rimosse le batterie.

Ora, data, fuso orario e orario internazionale

Tramite il tasto MODE possibile impostare lora, la data e il fuso orario. Inoltre, possibile richiamare e impostare l'orario mondiale, l'allarme con data, la ricezione delle onde medie, l'interruzione della sveglia, la modalit ore. Premendo il tasto MODE a radio spenta, la funzione da impostare lampeggia per ca. 15 secondi. Effettuare limpostazione in questo lasso di tempo con i tasti UP/DOWN. Premere 1 volte MODE: Impostazione dellorario Premere 2 volte MODE: Impostazione della data Premere 3 volte MODE: Impostare il fuso orario (Local City) Premere 4 volte MODE: Visualizzazione dellorario internazionale Premere 5 volte MODE: Allarme data Premere 6 volte MODE: Impostazione della copertura per la ricezione di onde medie. Impostazione dellorario Premere una volta MODE. Sul display lampeggia lultimo orario impostato. Premere il tasto UP oppure DOWN per spostare lorario in avanti o indietro
con incrementi di un minuto. Tenere premuto uno dei due tasti per alcuni secondi per mandare avanti e indietro il tempo in modalit rapida, con incrementi di dieci minuti.

Impostazione della data

Premere ancora una volta oppure due volte MODE. Sul display lampeggia la data impostata (durante il funzionamento Su 1.01.12). Premere il tasto UP oppure DOWN per ottenere una data precedente o successiva. Tenere premuto uno dei due tasti per alcuni secondi per mandare avanti o indietro la data con incrementi di dieci giorni. I giorni della settimana vengono visualizzati in maniera automatica. I giorni della settimana vengono visualizzati in inglese con le prime due lettere. Il calendario integrato va dal 2000 al 2099.

Allarme data speciale Premere il tasto MODE una quinta volta per impostare lallarme data
speciale. Sul display lampeggiano alternativamente lindicazione SDA1 e la data. Premere il tasto PAGE per scegliere fra i dieci allarmi data che possibile impostare SDA1 - SDA 10). Premere il tasto UP oppure DOWN per impostare la data in cui lallarme deve suonare. Premere il tasto SNOOZE per ignorare limmissione del numero dellanno, in tal modo lallarme suona ogni anno. Se la data corrente coincide con l'allarme SDA, in questo giorno, fra le ore 8:00 e le 23:00, al compimento di ogni ora risuoner un segnale di sveglia per 10 minuti. Funzione sveglia
Il ricevitore mondiale mette a disposizione la possibilit di impostare due allarmi indipendentemente l'uno dall'altro: AL1 e AL2. Per entrambi si pu decidere ... ...se la sveglia deve suonare ogni giorno della settimana, al fine settimana, per tutta la settimana o per un singolo giorno della settimana; ...se si desidera essere svegliati con il segnale d'allarme o con la radio.

Impostazione dellorario di sveglia

Con la radio spenta, premere il tasto VOL.+/AL1 (o VOL.-/AL2). Sul display appare lultimo orario di sveglia impostato e il simbolo relativo al tipo dallarme. Premere il tasto UP oppure DOWN per spostare lorario di sveglia in avanti o indietro con incrementi di un minuto. Tenere premuto uno dei due tasti per alcuni secondi per mandare avanti e indietro il tempo in modalit rapida, con incrementi di dieci minuti. Premere il tasto VOL.+/AL1 (oppure VOL.-/AL2) tante volte fino a che sul display non viene indicata la funzione sveglia desiderata (vedi tabella sopra). Premere il tasto SNOOZE per impostare il giorno della settimana nel quale si desidera essere svegliati: possibile scegliere fra giorni feriali (Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr), fine settimana (Su, Sa), intera settimana (Su, Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa) o singolo giorno della settimana. L'impostazione selezionata viene visualizzata nel display. Premere il tasto SNOOZE tante volte fino a che sul display non vengono visualizzati i giorni nei quali si desidera essere svegliati. Tenere premuto il tasto SNOOZE fino a che sul display non vengono visualizzati i singoli giorni della settimana.

Premere il tasto SNOOZE per impostare il giorno della settimana desiderato. Per poter selezionare nuovamente i giorni della settimana, il fine settimana o lintera settimana, tenere di nuovo premuto brevemente il tasto SNOOZE. Premere il tasto MODE, per memorizzare limpostazione e ritornare al modo orario. Limpostazione viene anche memorizzata attendendo per ca. 15 secondi, fino a che viene visualizzato nuovamente lorario.

Se lallarme suona...
ed selezionata la funzione sveglia Radio, la radio rimane accesa per unora ad un volume predefinito. Per interromperla premere il tasto VOL.+/AL1 oppure VOL.-/AL2. ed selezionata la funzione sveglia Allarme, lallarme suona per 10 minuti. Per interromperlo premere il tasto VOL.+/AL1 oppure VOL.-/AL2.

Avvertenza:
ricordare che per la sveglia verr utilizzata l'emittente precedentemente impostata con il volume impostato l'ultima volta in cui si utilizzata la radio.

Interruzione della sveglia Premere il tasto SNOOZE per interrompere la funzione di sveglia per
10 minuti (impostazione standard) (vedere anche il capitolo "Impostazione dellinterruzione sveglia").

Impostazione dellinterruzione sveglia

A radio spenta, premere sette volte il tasto MODE. Sul display appare linterruzione sveglia impostata (alla messa in funzione SNO 10). Con i tasti UP e DOWN possibile impostare linterruzione sveglia in un lasso temporale che va da 1 a 59 minuti.

Spegnimento della funzione sveglia Premere il tasto VOL.+/AL1 oppure VOL.-/AL2 tante volte fino a che sul
display i corrispondenti simboli dallarme scompaiono.

Funzione cronometro
La funzione cronometro disponibile solo quando la radio spenta. Spingere e tenere premuto il tasto PAGE per ca. 2 sec., sul display appare 0.00 0 U. Premere il tasto SNOOZE per avviare il cronometro. Il tempo massimo di arresto di 39 minuti e 59 secondi. Quando il cronometro supera il tempo massimo, nel display compare e lampeggia il messaggio 39:59.0. Durante il rilevamento, la misurazione pu essere interrotta premendo il tasto SNOOZE. Una nuova pressione del tasto SNOOZE ripristina il cronometro. Tenere premuto il tasto SNOOZE per spostare indietro il cronometro. Premendo il tasto PAGE si abbandona il cronometro.

Funzione conto alla rovescia

La funzione conto alla rovescia disponibile solamente quando la radio spenta.

Impostazione e memorizzazione del conto alla rovescia Spingere e tenere premuto il tasto MEMORY SCAN per ca. 2 sec., sul
display appare 0.00 D. La D lampeggia. Premere il tasto UP oppure DOWN per impostare il tempo desiderato. Sui tasti di memorizzazione sono preimpostati 5 tempi di conto alla rovescia, che possibile richiamare direttamente premendo il corrispondente tasto di memorizzazione: Tasto M.0/5 5:00 Tasto M.1/6 10:00 Tasto M.2/7 15:00 Tasto M.3/8 20:00 Tasto M.4/9 25:00 Premere il tasto MEM per memorizzare il tempo impostato. Sul display appare lindicazione dello spazio di memoria MEM. Ora selezionare con i tasti M.0/5 - M.4/9 uno spazio di memoria. Premendo il tasto di memoria corrispondente viene memorizzato il tempo e sovrascritto il tempo memorizzato in precedenza. Premendo ancora una volta il tasto MEMORY SCAN si abbandona nuovamente il modo conto alla rovescia.

Richiamo e attivazione della funzione conto alla rovescia Spingere e tenere premuto il tasto MEMORY SCAN per ca. 2 sec., sul dis play appare lindicazione 0.00 D. Selezionare il tempo di conto alla rovescia desiderato con laiuto dei tasti di memorizzazione M.0/5 - M.4/9. Premere il tasto SNOOZE per avviare il conto alla rovescia. Premendo nuovamente il tasto SNOOZE il conto alla rovescia si interrompe.

Se il tempo impostato viene completamente superato, per un minuto suona un allarme che diviene progressivamente pi intenso. Premere il tasto MEMORY SCAN per interrompere il conto alla rovescia e abbandonare il modo conto alla rovescia.

Funzionamento radio
Accensione/Volume Premere il tasto POWER per accendere la radio. Dopo breve tempo sul
display scompare ON e, in seguito, appare la frequenza attualmente impostata con la banda selezionata. Regolare il volume tramite i tasti VOL.+/AL1 oppure VOL.-/AL2: Tasto VOL.-/AL2: pi piano; Tasto VOL.+/AL1: pi forte. Il volume viene visualizzato a sinistra nel display tramite una barra.

Attivazione del potenziamento dei bassi

Quando la radio accesa premere il tasto BASS per attivare il potenziamento dei bassi. Sul display appare lindicazione BASS. Per spegnere il potenziamento dei bassi, premere di nuovo il tasto BASS. Lindicazione BASS scompare.

Cambio visualizzazione del display

Durante il funzionamento radio premere il tasto MODE, per passare dalla visualizzazione dellora a quella della frequenza.

Spegnimento
Spegnere la radio premendo il tasto POWER. Sul display viene visualizzato per breve tempo OFF e in seguito appare di nuovo lorario.

Funzione snooze Tramite il tasto SNOOZE anche possibile attivare la funzione snooze.
possibile impostare una durata di fino a 90 minuti con incrementi di dieci minuti, in seguito alla quale la radio si spegne automaticamente. Prima di farlo, spegnere la radio. Premere il tasto SNOOZE. Appare il simbolo della funzione snooze e 90 (per 90 minuti). Premere ripetutamente il tasto SNOOZE fino a che appare 90 sul display. Parte un conto alla rovescia del tempo di snooze con incrementi di dieci minuti. Selezionare un tempo di snooze (viene visualizzato il simbolo snooze ) o premere ulteriormente il tasto SNOOZE, fino a che sul display appare 00. Il tempo di snooze ora spento.

Impostazione delle stazioni radio

Selezionare la banda di frequenza desiderata tramite il selezionatore di banda (FM, MW, LW oppure SW). Sul display viene visualizzata la corrispondente abbreviazione. Poi impostare la frequenza di ricezione desiderata tramite UP oppure DOWN. Se viene tenuto premuto UP oppure DOWN per ca. 3 secondi, si avvia la ricerca automatica. La ricerca si ferma non appena viene trovata una stazione radio con sufficiente forza di trasmissione.

Poich i sistemi di trasmissione radio differiscono da paese a paese, necessario adattare il campo di ricezione: A radio spenta, premere sei volte il tasto MODE e selezionare con il tasto UP o DOWN il relativo campo di ricezione in base alla seguente tabella:

Sintonia fine delle stazioni radio

Se una stazione radio non viene trovata con precisione, possibile migliorare la ricezione tramite una sintonia fine. Durante la ricerca delle stazioni premere il tasto FINE, sul display appare lindicazione FINE. Con UP o DOWN impostare la frequenza di ricezione desiderata con passi di frequenza pi piccoli. Premendo nuovamente il tasto FINE si abbandona la sintonia fine delle stazioni radio. Questa funzione disponibile solo nella gamma di frequenza delle onde lunghe.

Antenna
Lantenna telescopica orientabile dellapparecchio funziona con banda FM e SW. Allungare completamente lantenna e orientarla per ottenere la migliore ricezione.

Tramite linterruttore SW SEN. sul lato sinistro dellapparecchio possibile migliorare la qualit di ricezione per la gamma SW. Selezionare LX per stazioni radio con segnale forte, e DX per migliorare la ricezione delle stazioni radio con segnale debole. Lantenna telescopica non funziona per la banda delle onde medie e delle onde lunghe. In queste frequenze, l'apparecchio capta le emittenti tramite un'antenna incorporata in ferrite. Orientare lapparecchio per ottenere la miglior ricezione possibile.

Funzioni di memorizzazione
Memorizzare le stazioni radio
Il ricevitore mondiale pu memorizzare 400 emittenti. Per memorizzare una stazione radio procedere come segue: Impostare la banda di frequenza con linterruttore di selezione banda e poi la stazione radio che si desidera memorizzare. Premere il tasto MEM. Sul display viene visualizzata la pagina di memoria PAGE e lindicazione MEM lampeggia. Premere entro 10 secondi il tasto PAGE (lindicazione PAGE lampeggia), e selezionare in seguito una pagina di memorizzazione (di 00 - 39) tramite i tasti) UP oppure DOWN. Ora selezionare entro 10 secondi uno spazio di memoria in cui si desidera memorizzare la stazione radio tramite i tasti M.0/5 - M.4/9. Premere ad es. una volta il tasto M.0/5 per lo spazio di memoria 0 e ancora una volta per lo spazio di memoria 5. Limpostazione selezionata viene visualizzata sul display. Premete nuovamente MEM per memorizzare la stazione radio. Le indicazioni PAGE e MEM appaiono ora permanentemente.

Avvertenza:
Se la presa collegata al ricevitore mondiale e non sono inserite le pile, gli spazi di memoria vanno persi quando la spina viene estratta dalla presa.

Selezione delle stazioni radio memorizzate

Per selezionare direttamente una stazione radio memorizzata, impostare per prima cosa la banda di frequenza con linterruttore di selezione banda per trovare la stazione radio. Premere il tasto PAGE e poi selezionare una pagina di memoria (di 00 - 39) tramite i tasti UP oppure DOWN. Ora selezionare entro 10 secondi uno spazio di memoria in cui si desidera memorizzare la stazione radio tramite i tasti M.0/5 - M.4/9. La stazione radio viene immediatamente riprodotta dopo aver immesso lo spazio di memoria.

Ricerca automatica delle stazioni radio

Il ricevitore mondiale in grado di ricercare una banda e di memorizzare le stazioni radio trovate nella memoria. Per attivare la ricerca automatica di stazioni radio (Automatic Memory Scan / AMS) procedere come segue: Premere una volta il tasto MEM. Lindicazione MEM lampeggia. Tenere premuto il tasto MEMORY SCAN per ca. 1 secondo. Ora il ricevitore mondiale ricerca tutte le frequenze nella banda di frequenza impostata e memorizza le stazioni radio trovate a partire dalla pagina di memoria e dello spazio di memoria impostati.

Richiamo degli spazi di memoria Premere il tasto MEMORY SCAN per richiamare tutti gli spazi di memoria
impostati della banda di frequenza selezionata. Tutte le stazioni radio memorizzate vengono passate in rassegna luna dopo laltra per ca. 15 secondi. Premere il tasto SNOOZE per terminare la riproduzione delle posizioni di memoria.

Avviso: ricordare che in tal caso verr attivata la funzione Snooze. Premere il tasto SNOOZE fino a visualizzare 00 nel display

Pulizia
Pericolo di vita per scossa elettrica:
Staccare lapparecchio dalla corrente prima di pulirlo! Non immergere mai i componenti dellapparecchio in acqua o in altri liquidi! Evitare la penetrazione di liquidi nellalloggiamento.

Pulizia dellalloggiamento:
Pulire la superficie dellalloggiamento con un panno leggermente umido. Non utilizzare mai benzina, solventi o detergenti che aggrediscono la plastica!

Indicaes instrutivas de segurana

Este aparelho no se destina a ser utilizado por pessoas (incluindo crianas) com capacidades fsicas, sensoriais ou mentais limitadas ou com falta de experincia e/ou conhecimento, a no ser que se encontrem sob vigilncia de uma pessoa responsvel pela sua segurana ou se dela obterem instrues sobre como utilizar o aparelho. Perigo devido a choque-elctrico!

Ligue o aparelho a uma tomada de rede correctamente instalada e ligada terra. A tenso de rede deve estar de acordo com a indicao existente na placa de identificao do aparelho. Transformadores ou cabo de rede danificados devem ser substitudos imediatamente por tcnicos especializados ou pela assistncia ao cliente para evitar perigos. Cabos de ligao ou aparelhos que no funcionam perfeitamente ou foram danificados devem ser reparados ou substitudos imediatamente pela assistncia ao cliente. Nunca mergulhe o aparelho em gua. Limpe-o apenas com um pano ligeiramente humedecido. No exponha o aparelho chuva e nunca o utilize em ambientes hmidos ou molhados. Certifique-se que o cabo de ligao nunca fique molhado ou hmido durante o funcionamento. No abra nem repare a caixa do aparelho. Neste caso, no est garantida a segurana e a garantia extingue-se. Proteja o aparelho de gotas e salpicos de gua. Por isso, no coloque objectos com lquidos (como por exemplo jarras) em cima ou ao lado do aparelho.

Perigo de incndio!
No utilize o aparelho na proximidade de superfcies quentes. No coloque o aparelho em locais que incidem raios solares directos. Caso contrrio, este pode sobreaquecer e ficar irreparavelmente danificado. Nunca deixe o aparelho sem vigilncia durante o funcionamento.

Nunca cubra as ranhuras de ventilao do aparelho quando este se encontra em funcionamento. No coloque fontes de incndio abertas, como por ex., velas em cima ou ao lado do aparelho.

Perigo de ferimentos
Mantenha as crianas afastadas do cabo de ligao e do aparelho. As crianas subavaliam com muita frequncia os perigos que advm de aparelhos elctricos. No caso do aparelho ter cado ou ficar danificado no o pode colocar novamente em funcionamento. O aparelho deve ser verificado e, se necessrio, reparado por pessoal tcnico qualificado. As pilhas no podem ir parar s mos das crianas. As crianas poderiam meter as pilhas na boca e ingeri-las.No caso de uma pilha ingerida, deve procurar-se imediatamente auxlio mdico.

Trovoada!
Em caso de trovoada, os aparelhos que se encontram ligados corrente podero ser danificados. Em caso de trovoada retire a ficha de rede sempre da tomada.

Indicaes relativamente a tenses de impulso (transio elctrica/EFT rpida) e descargas electrostticas:

em caso de uma anomalia devido a transies elctricas rpidas (tenso de impulso) ou descargas electrostticas, o produto tem de ser reposto para voltar a estabelecer um funcionamento normal. Possivelmente a alimentao de corrente tem de ser desligada e de seguida novamente ligada. As pilhas (se existirem) tm de ser retiradas e de seguida novamente colocadas.

Indicaes relativas desconexo de rede

O boto POWER deste aparelho no desliga o mesmo completamente da corrente. Alm disso, o aparelho consome energia no modo Standby. Para desligar o aparelho completamente da corrente, o transformador tem de ser retirado da tomada de rede.

Indicaes relativas ao manuseio com pilhas

O aparelho utiliza pilhas. Para o manuseio com pilhas tenha em conta o seguinte:

Perigo de exploso!
No deite as pilhas ao fogo. No volte a carregar as pilhas. Nunca abra as pilhas, nem nunca solde as pilhas. Existe perigo de exploso e de ferimentos! Verifique regularmente as pilhas. Pilhas que vertem podem danificar o aparelho. Se o aparelho no for utilizado por um longo perodo de tempo, retire as pilhas. No caso das pilhas verterem use luvas de proteco. Limpe o compartimento das pilhas e os contactos das mesmas com um pano seco.

Funcionamento de rede e a pilhas

Quando retira o aparelho da rede, perdem-se eventualmente as configuraes efectuadas (horas, hora de despertar, emissora de rdio). Se necessrio, coloque previamente pilhas (v.em b.), de modo a guardar as configuraes e retire depois o aparelho da rede.

Colocar pilhas
Em vez da ligao rede, pode utilizar tambm o aparelho com pilhas (no fornecidas). Para tal, necessita de quatro pilhas Mignon 1,5 V do tipo AA/LR6. Abra o compartimento das pilhas no verso do aparelho, empurrando a tampa para baixo.

 Coloque quatro pilhas no compartimento de acordo com a polaridade. Volte a deslocar a tampa para o compartimento. Caso as pilhas fiquem fracas, isso indicado no visor pelo smbolo a piscar. Em seguida, o aparelho desliga-se.

Ligao rede
Ligue a ficha do aparelho da fonte de alimentao tomada Ligue o transformador a uma tomada de fcil acesso. De modo a no tropear, no utilize o aparelho com cabos de extenso.

AC ~9V 400 mA no lado do aparelho.

Nota:
Se o transformador estiver ligado, o aparelho apenas alimentado com corrente atravs do transformador e no atravs das pilhas. As pilhas colocadas no so carregadas. Em caso de uso prolongado do transformador, as pilhas devero ser retiradas do compartimento. Caso contrrio, existe perigo de as pilhas verterem.

Ligar auscultadores
No lado esquerdo do aparelho encontrar uma sada de auscultadores.

Ateno!
Utilize apenas os auscultadores do tipo E105 fornecidos juntamente com este aparelho. Encaixe o conector RCA do auscultador na sada dos auscultadores. A coluna desliga-se automaticamente. . Ateno: A audio de msica com auscultadores durante longos perodos de tempo e com volume elevado pode provocar danos auditivos!

Funes gerais
Bloqueio das teclas
Para evitar que as configuraes sejam alteradas ao tocar nos botes sem inteno, pode activar um bloqueio dos botes. Prima e mantenha premido o boto MEM durante cerca de 3 segundos com o rdio ligado. No visor aparece a indicao Todos os botes, excepo do boto SNOOZE e MEM, esto agora bloqueados. Prima e mantenha premido to boto MEM novamente durante aprox. 3 segundos, de modo a desactivar o bloqueio dos botes. A indicao no visor apaga-se.

Iluminao do visor
Prima qualquer boto para iluminar o visor. O visor iluminado durante aprox. 15 segundos.

Base de apoio
Abra o p de suporte na parte de trs do aparelho, de modo a estabilizar o aparelho.

Funes de tempo
Se a alimentao de tenso for estabelecida (funcionamento a partir da rede ou de pilhas), o tempo do receptor universal comea em "0:00 00". Efectue as configuraes de hora e data como se explica nos pargrafos seguintes. As funes de tempo podem ser apenas configuradas com o rdio desligado. Se o aparelho for retirado da rede ou as pilhas forem retiradas, perdem-se as configuraes.

Horas, data, fuso horrio e hora mundial

Pode configurar os botes MODE hora, data e fuso horrio. Pode tambm consultar e configurar o Tempo Universal Coordenado, o alarme de data, a recepo de ondas mdias, a interrupo da hora de despertar e o modo das horas. Se premir o boto MODE com o rdio desligado, a funo a ajustar fica intermitente durante 15 segundos. Efectue a configurao neste momento com os botes UP/DOWN. MODE premir 1 x: Acertar as horas MODE premir 2 x: Regular data MODE premir 3 x: Configurar fuso horrio (Local City) MODE premir 4 x: Indicar hora mundial MODE premir 5 x: Alarme da data MODE premir 6 x: Configurar rea de recepo para onda mdia. MODE premir 7 x: Configurar interrupo do despertar. MODE premir 8 x: Configurar modo 12/24 horas. De modo a assumir uma configurao, aguarde at a indicao parar de piscar (o visor muda para a indicao das horas), ou mude com o boto MODE para a prxima funo.

Acertar as horas
Prime uma vez MODE. No visor pisca a hora configurada pela ltima vez. Prima o boto UP ou DOWN de modo a ajustar a hora em minutos. Mantenha um dos botes premido durante alguns segundos, de modo a configurar as horas em avano rpido em intervalos de dez minutos.

Regular data
Prima uma vez mais ou duas vezes em MODE. No visor, a data ajustada pisca (aquando da colocao em funcionamento Su 1.01.12). Prima mo boto UP ou DOWN para contar a data para a frente ou para trs. Mantenha uma das teclas premida durante alguns segundos, de modo a alterar a data em intervalos de dez dias. A indicao para o dia da semana corre automaticamente. visualizada com as primeiras duas letras do nome ingls dos dias da semana. O calendrio incorporado vai de 2000 a 2099.

Indicao do dia da semana: Su = Domingo Mo = Segunda-feira Tu = Tera-feira We = Quarta-feira Th = Quinta-feira Fr = Sexta-feira Sa = Sbado

Regular fuso horrio

Prima uma vez mais ou trs vezes em MODE. No visor, o fuso horrio configurado pisca como abreviatura da respectiva cidade (na primeira colocao em funcionamento UTC); a indicao das horas desaparece. Prima no boto UP ou DOWN para ir para o prximo fuso horrio ou para o anterior.

A tabela ao lado d uma viso das abreviaturas das cidades para os fusos horrios e alteraes da hora.

Indicar hora mundial

Prima uma vez mais ou quatro vezes MODE de modo a indicar a hora mundial. Surge a abreviatura intermitente da cidade com a hora correspondente. Prima no boto UP ou DOWN para ir para o prximo fuso horrio ou para o anterior.

Nota:
Para indicar correctamente a hora mundial ajustada, deve regular a hora de Vero conforme a hora mundial (ver tabela).

Hora de Vero
Nem todos os fusos horrios distinguem entre hora de Vero e de Inverno. Para indicar correctamente a hora mundial, deve ajustar a hora de Vero conforme o fuso horrio. Prima, enquanto a indicao para o fuso horrio piscar, o boto SNOOZE as vezes necessrias at o fuso horrio correspondente (consultar tabela) estar ajustado.

Alarme de data especial Prima o boto MODE uma quinta vez para configurar o alarme da data
especial. No visor piscam alternadamente a indicao SDA1 e a data. Prima o boto PAGE para escolher entre dez alarmes de datas configurveis (SDA1 - SDA 10). Prima o boto UP ou DOWN para configurar a data na qual o alarme deve tocar. Prima o boto SNOOZE de modo a ignorar a introduo do ano, o alarme toca depois todos os anos. Quando a data actual corresponder ao alarme SDA, toca nesse dia de 8:00 - 23:00 horas a cada hora completa um som de alarme durante 10 minutos. No visor pisca ainda a indicao SDA. Desligue o alarme premindo qualquer boto.

Nota:
Para desactivar completamente o alarme da data, configure uma data, que se encontra no passado!

Configurar o modo das horas 12/24 Prima oito vezes o boto MODE. No visor surge a indicao 24 HR
para o modo de horas 24. Prima o boto UP para configurar o modo de horas 24. Prima o boto DOWN para configurar o modo de horas 12. No visor surge12 HR. Para as horas da parte da tarde surge adicionalmente PM no visor.

Seleccionar modo de indicao

Pode escolher quais os dados a serem indicados no visor, quando o rdio est desligado. O respectivo modo indicado no visor atravs do respectivo smbolo. Seleccione o modo de indicao com o rdio desligado premindo repetidamente o boto FINE de acordo com a seguinte tabela: Smbolo no visor modo de indicao CLOCK apenas indicada a hora CITY so indicadas alternadamente a hora e a hora mundial DATE so indicadas alternadamente a hora e a data CITY DATE so indicadas alternadamente a hora, data e a hora mundial

Funo de despertar
O receptor de ondas curtas permite o ajuste de duas horas de despertar independentes: AL1 e AL2. Para ambas pode definir... ...se o alarme deve soar todos os dias teis, no fim-de-semana, todos os dias da semana ou apenas num dia da semana especfico; ...se pretende acordar com alarme ou com o rdio.

Ajustar hora de despertar

Pode programar com o seu receptor mundial duas horas de despertar. Funo de despertar Rdio sons sonoros desligado sem smbolo Smbolo no visor

Com o rdio desligado, prima o boto VOL.+/AL1 (ou VOL.-/AL2). No visor surge a hora de despertar por ltimo configurada e o smbolo para o tipo de alarme. Prima o boto UP ou DOWN de modo a ajustar a hora de despertar em minutos. Mantenha um dos botes premido durante alguns segundos, de modo a configurar as horas em avano rpido em intervalos de dez minutos. Prima o boto VOL.+/AL1 (ou VOL.-/AL2) quantas vezes forem necessrias at que seja indicada no visor a funo despertar desejada (ver tabela em cima). Prima o boto SNOOZE para configurar os dias da semana em que deseja ser acordado: Pode seleccionar entre dias teis (Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr), fim-de-semana (Su, Sa), toda a semana (Su, Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa) ou apenas um dia da semana. A configurao seleccionada indicada no visor. Prima o boto SNOOZE as vezes que forem necessrias at que os dias teis desejados estejam configurados. Mantenha o boto SNOOZE premido at que surja no visor um nico dia da semana.

 Prima o boto SNOOZE para configurar o dia da semana desejado. Para retroceder para a seleco dos dias teis, fins-de- semana ou semana completa, mantenha novamente premido o boto SNOOZE por breves instantes. Prima o boto MODE para memorizar a configurao e para voltar ao modo da hora. A configurao tambm memorizada, se aguardar aprox. 15 segundos at que a indicao volte a mostrar a hora.

Quando soa o alarme...

e est seleccionada a funo de despertar Radio, o rdio funciona durante uma hora com um volume de despertar pr-definido. Para terminar prima o boto VOL.+/AL1 ou VOL.-/AL2. e a funo despertar sinais sonoros estiver seleccionada, soam os sinais sonoros durante 10 minutos. Para terminar prima o boto VOL.+/AL1 ou VOL.-/AL2.

Nota:
Tenha em ateno que a emissora de rdio previamente ajustada utilizada com o volume utilizado por ltimo para despertar.

Interromper despertar Pressione a tecla SNOOZE para interromper a funo de despertar para
10 minutos (configurao padro) (ver tambm captulo Regular interrupo do despertar).

Regular interrupo do despertar Prima o boto MODE 7 vezes, com o rdio desligado. No visor surge
a interrupo do despertar regulada (aquando da colocao em funcionamento SNO 10). Com os botes UP e DOWN pode regular a interrupo do despertar para um tempo de 1 a 59 minutos.

Desligar funo de despertar Prima o boto VOL.+/AL1 ou VOL.-/AL2 as vezes que forem necessrias
at que desapaream os smbolos do alarme correspondentes no visor.

A durao mxima a cronometrar de 39 minutos e 59 segundos. Quando o cronmetro exceder o tempo mximo, aparece e pisca no visor a indicao 39:59.0. Durante a cronometragem, esta pode ser interrompida premindo o boto SNOOZE . Se premir novamente o boto SNOOZE, o cronmetro volta a cronometrar. Mantenha premido o boto SNOOZE de modo a repor as funes do cronmetro. Premindo o boto PAGE sai do menu do cronmetro.

Nos botes de memorizao esto pr-memorizados 5 tempos de cronometragem, que pode consultar directamente ao premir o boto de memorizao correspondente: Boto M.0/5 5:00 Boto M.1/6 10:00 Boto M.2/7 15:00 Boto M.3/8 20:00 Boto M.4/9 25:00 Prima o boto MEM, de modo a memorizar a hora definida, no visor pisca a indicao de posio de memria MEM. Seleccione agora com os botes M.0/5 - M.4/9 um lugar de memria, ao premir o respectivo boto de memria, o tempo colocado nesta posio de memria e o tempo l memorizado substitudo. Premindo novamente o boto MEMORY SCAN sai do modo contagem decrescente.

Quando o tempo ajustado terminar, soa um sinal de alarme durante um minuto, que aumenta de volume e soa mais alto. Prima o boto MEMORY SCAN de modo a interromper a contagem decrescente e a sair do modo contagem decrescente.

Funcionamento do rdio
Ligar/volume
Prima o boto POWER para ligar o rdio. No visor mostrado brevemente ON, em seguida surge a frequncia actualmente regulada com a banda seleccionada. Regule o volume atravs dos botes VOL.+/AL1 ou VOL.-/AL2 : Boto VOL.-/AL2: mais baixo; Boto VOL.+/AL1: mais alto. O volume indicado atravs de uma indicao de barras no visor.

Ligar intensificador de graves

Prima com o rdio ligado o boto BASS para ligar o intensificador de graves. No visor surge a indicao BASS. Para desligar o intensificador de graves prima o boto BASS novamente. A indicao BASS apaga-se.

Mudar indicao do visor Prima o boto MODE no funcionamento do rdio, para alternar entre a
indicao da hora e da frequncia.

Desligar
Desligue o rdio, premindo o boto POWER. No visor surge por breves momentos OFF de seguida aparece novamente a hora.

Funo Snooze
Pode activar atravs do boto SNOOZE a funo snooze. Pode regular uma hora at 90 minutos em intervalos de 10 minutos, na qual o rdio se dever desligar. Para isso, desligue primeiramente o rdio. Prime o boto SNOOZE. Surgem os smbolos para a funo Snooze e 90 (para 90 minutos). Prima o boto SNOOZE repetidamente, enquanto estiver 90 no visor de modo a reduzir o tempo Snooze em intervalos de dez minutos. Seleccione um tempo Snooze (o smbolo snooze mostrado) ou continue a premir o boto SNOOZE, at surgir 00 no visor. O snooze est agora desligado.

Ajustar a emissora
Seleccione a banda de frequncia desejada atravs do interruptor de seleco de bandas (FM, MW, LW ou SW). A abreviatura correspondente mostrada no visor. Ajuste com UP ou DOWN a frequncia de emisso desejada. Se mantiver UP ou DOWN premido durante aprox. trs segundos, inicia a localizao automtica. A localizao pra quando encontrar uma emissora com fora de emisso suficiente.

Regular frequncia AM
Uma vez que os sistemas de emisso de rdio divergem em diferentes pases, deveria efectuar uma adaptao atravs da configurao da rea de recepo. Prima seis vezes o boto MODE com o rdio desligado e seleccione a gama de recepo adequada, com o boto UP ou DOWN, de acordo com a seguinte tabela:

Sintonia emissoras
Quando uma emissora no encontrada, possvel melhorar a recepo atravs de um ajuste preciso. Durante a localizao de emissora, prima o boto FINE no visor surge a indicao FINE. Ajuste agora a frequncia de recepo pretendida com breves etapas de frequncia, premindo UP ou DOWN. Premindo novamente o boto FINE sai novamente da sintonia emissoras. Esta funo no est disposio na gama de frequncias OL.

Antena
A antena telescpica giratria no aparelho eficaz na banda FM e SW. Retire a antena completamente e ajuste-a para uma melhor recepo. No interruptor SW SEN. no lado esquerdo do aparelho pode melhorar a qualidade de recepo para a rea SW. Seleccione LX para emissoras fortes e DX para melhorar a recepo de emissoras fracas. Nas bandas AM e OL, a antena telescpica no eficaz. Nestas reas o aparelho recebe as emissoras atravs da antena de ferrite montada. Direccione o aparelho para a melhor recepo.

Funes de memria
Memorizar emissoras
O receptor universal pode memorizar 400 emissores. De modo a memorizar uma emissora, proceda do seguinte modo: Ajuste com o interruptor de seleco de bandas a banda de frequncia e depois a emissora, que deseja memorizar. Prima o boto MEM. No visor indicada a pgina de memria PAGE e a indicao MEM pisca. Prima no prazo de 10 segundos PAGE (a indicao PAGE pisca) e seleccione depois com os botes UP ou DOWN uma pgina de memria (de 00 - 39). Seleccione dentro de 10 segundos com os botes M.0/5 - M.4/9 uma posio de memria, no qual quer colocar uma emissora. Prima p. exp. o boto M.0/5 uma vez para a posio de memria 0 e mais uma vez para a posio de memria 5. A ocupao indicada no visor. Prima novamente MEM para memorizar a emissora. As indicaes PAGE e MEM surgem permanentemente.

Nota:
Se a fonte de alimentao estiver ligada ao receptor mundial e no tiver nenhuma pilha, perdem-se as posies de memria se retirar a ficha de rede da tomada.

Seleccionar emissoras memorizadas

Para seleccionar directamente uma emissora memorizada ajuste a banda de frequncia com o interruptor de seleco de bandas na qual se pode encontrar a emissora.

Prima o boto PAGE e seleccione depois com os botes UP ou DOWN uma pgina de memria (de 00 - 39). Seleccione no prazo de 10 segundos com os botes M.0/5 - M.4/9 a posio de memria, na qual est colocada uma emissora. A emissora imediatamente reproduzida aps a introduo da posio de memria.

Efectuar localizao automtica de emissora

O seu receptor mundial pode localizar as frequncias de uma banda e colocar as emissoras encontradas na memria. De modo a activar esta localizao automtica de emissoras (Automatic Memory Scan / AMS), proceda da seguinte forma: Prima uma vez o boto MEM. A indicao MEM pisca. Mantenha o boto MEMORY SCAN premido durante 1 segundo. O receptor mundial percorre todas as frquencias na banda de frequncia ajustada e memoriza as emissoras encontradas a partir da pgina de memria ajustada actual e a posio de memria.

Consultar posies de memria Prima o boto MEMORY SCAN para consultar a ocupao de todas as
memrias da banda de frequncia seleccionada. Todas as emissoras memorizadas so reproduzidas durante aprox. 15 segundos. Prima o boto SNOOZE para concluir a reproduo das posies da memria.

Nota: Tenha em ateno que, ao faz-lo, a funo snooze activada. Premir boto SNOOZE, at surgir 00 no visor.

Risk of electric shock!

Connect the mains-power adapter only to correctly installed and earthed mains sockets. Connection cables or devices that do not work perfectly or have been damaged should be repaired or exchanged immediately by Customer Services. Never immerse the device in water! Simply wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. Do not expose the wall wart to rain or use it in a damp or wet environment. Ensure that the connection cable is never wet or damp when in use. You must not open or repair the devices housing. This can be dangerous and renders the warranty null and void. Protect the device from moisture and sprayed water. Risk of fire!
Do not use the device near hot surfaces. Do not set the device up where it is exposed to direct sunlight. This could cause it to overheat and damage it beyond repair. Thunder storms!
Devices connected to mains power can be damaged during a thunder storm. If there is a thunder storm, always remove the mains plug from the socket.

Information on voltage surges (EFT/electrical fast transient) and electrostatic discharges:

If the product does not work properly due to electrical fast transient processes (voltage surges) or electrostatic discharge, it must be reset to restore normal operation. If necessary, remove the plug from the power socket and insert it again. The batteries (if used) must be removed and reinserted.

Information on separating the device from mains power

The POWER button on this device does not completely separate it from the mains network. In addition, the device uses power when in standby mode. In order to completely separate the device from the mains supply the plug must be removed from the mains socket.

Risk of explosion!
Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge batteries. Never open, solder or weld batteries. There is a risk of explosion and injury! Check batteries regularly. Leaking batteries can damage the device. If the appliance is not going to be used for long periods, remove the batteries. If batteries leak, put on protective gloves. Clean the battery compartment and contacts with a dry cloth.

Starting up
Unpack the device
Remove all packaging materials.

Caution!

Mains and battery operation

When you disconnect the radio from the mains supply, any settings you may have made (time, alarm, stations in memory) will be lost. If you wish to keep these settings, insert batteries (see below) before disconnecting.

Inserting batteries
The device can also be operated with batteries (not supplied) as well as from the mains. You will need four 1.5V mignon batteries, size AA/LR6. Open the battery compartment on the rear of the device by sliding the cover downwards. Insert four batteries into the compartment, paying attention to the polarity.

 Replace the cover on the battery compartment. If the batteries become too weak, this is indicated by the symbol blinking in the display. Subsequently, the appliance then switches itself off.

Mains connection
Connect the plug of the mains adapter to the AC ~9V 400 mA socket on the side of the device. Plug the mains adapter into an easily accessible socket. To avoid tripping hazards, please avoid using an extension cable.

Note:
When the power adapter is connected the device is supplied with electricity only through the power adapter, not from the batteries. The installed batteries are not charged. In the event of prolonged use of the power adapter the batteries should be removed from the battery compartment. Otherwise there is a risk that the batteries may leak.

Connecting headphones
On the left side of the radio, you will find the headphone socket.

Caution!
With this appliance, use only the supplied type E105 headphones. Insert the headphone jack plug into the headphone output. The speaker will be deactivated automatically.

Caution:
Listening to music with headphones for long periods and at high volume levels can lead to hearing damage!

General functions
Key lock
In order to prevent changing the settings unintentionally by touching the buttons, you can activate the key lock. With the radio switched on, press and hold the button MEM for about 3 seconds. On screen, the message flashes. All buttons, except the buttons SNOOZE and MEM, are now blocked. Press and hold down the MEM button again for about 3 seconds to cancel the key lock. The message on the screen disappears.

Screen lighting
Press any button to illuminate the screen. The screen will remain lit for about 15 seconds.

Stand
Fold out the base on the rear of the device to make the device more stable.

Time functions
When the power provision is established (mains or battery operation) the time indicated by the world receiver begins at 0:00 00 Proceed with settings the date and time, as explained in the following sections. The time functions can only be programmed when the radio is switched off. If the device is disconnected from mains power or the batteries are removed, the settings are lost.

Time, date, time zone and world time

You can set the time, date and time zone via the MODE button. You can continue to query and adjust the universal time, the date alarm, the mediumwave reception, alarm time interruption and the hours mode. When you press the button MODE with the radio switched off, the function to be programmed blinks for about 15 seconds. During this time, adjust the setting with the UP/DOWN buttons. Press MODE x 1: Setting clock time Press MODE x 2: Setting the date Press MODE x 3: Set time zone (Local City) Press MODE x 4: Show world time Press MODE x 5: Date alarm Press MODE x 6: Set reception range for medium wave. Press MODE x 7: Set alarm pause. Press MODE x 8: Set 12/24 hour mode. To apply a setting, just wait until the screen stops flashing (the screen reverts to the time indication) or press MODE to move on to the next function.

Setting clock time Press MODE once. The most recently set time flashes on the screen. Press the UP or DOWN button to move the time forward or backward at
minute intervals. Hold down one of the buttons for a few seconds to move the setting forward or backward quickly at 10 minute intervals.

Setting the date Press MODE again or twice.

The date set flashes on the screen (Su 1.01.12 when first switched on). Press the UP or DOWN button to move the date forward or backward. Keep either of these buttons pressed for a few seconds to change the date in ten-day steps. The weekday indication follows automatically. The indication uses the first two letters of the English name of the day. The built-in calendar runs from 2000 to 2099.

Setting the time zone Press MODE again or three times. The selected time zone flashes on the
screen as the abbreviation for the corresponding city (UTC when first switched on); the time disappears. Press the UP or DOWN button to move the time zone forward or backward.

To correctly present your set world time, you must set the summer time offset depending on the world time (see table).

Summer Time Offset

Not every time zone around the world differentiates between summer time and winter time. To correctly display your world time, you must set the summer time offset dependant on the time zone. When the display for the time zone is flashing, repeatedly press the SNOOZE button until the corresponding time offset is set (see table).
Time offset 1 Display OFFSET 1 Explanation In your time zone (Local City) it is winter time and in the set world time it is summer time. In your time zone (Local City) and in the set world time it is summer resp. winter time. In your time zone (Local City) it is summer time and in the set world time it is winter time resp. they do not have summer time.

Special date alarm Press the MODE button a fifth time to set the special date alarm.
The screen flashes SDA1 and the date in succession. Press the PAGE button to select one of the ten settable date alarms (SDA1SDA 10). Press the UP or DOWN button to set the date on which the alarm should sound. Press the SNOOZE button to ignore the year number setting so that the alarm sounds every year. When the current date tallies with the SDA alarm, on that day an alarm sounds for 10 minutes on every hour from 8:00 - 23:00. In addition, the SDA message will flash on the screen. Turn off the alarm by pressing any button.

Note:
In order to completely deactivate the date alarm set a date that is in the past!

Setting 12/24 hour mode Press MODE eight times. The screen shows the24 HR message for
24-hour mode. Press the UP button to set the 24 hour mode. Press the DOWN button to set the 12 hour mode. 12 HR is displayed on the screen. In the afternoon in addition PM is shown on the screen.

Select display mode

You can select which information is shown on the screen when the radio is switched off. The selected mode is indicated by a corresponding symbol on the screen. Alarm function
This multi-band radio provides you with two independently adjustable alarm times, AL1 and AL2. You can programme for both ... ...if the device should sound an alarm on every workday, at the weekend, the whole week or on a single specific weekday; ...if the alarm should sound with an alarm tone or with the radio.

Setting the alarm time

You can set two alarm times in your world receiver. Alarm function Radio Acoustic signals Switched off No symbol Symbol on the screen

With the radio switched off, press the buttons VOL.+/AL1 (or VOL.-/AL2). The screen shows the most recently set alarm time and the symbol for the alarm type. Press the UP or DOWN button to move the alarm time forward or backward at minute intervals. Hold down one of the buttons for a few seconds to move the setting forward or backward quickly at 10 minute intervals. Press the VOL.+/AL1 (or VOL./AL2) button until the desired alarm function (see table above) is indicated on the screen. Press the SNOOZE button to set the weekday on which you want the alarm to sound: You can select between workdays (Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr), weekends (Su, Sa), the whole week (Su, Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa) or a single weekday. The selected setting is shown on the display.

Press the SNOOZE button until the desired alarm days are set. Hold down the SNOOZE button until the screen shows an individual week day. Press the SNOOZE button to set the desired week day. To go back to selecting week days, weekend or every day, briefly hold down the SNOOZE button again. Press the MODE button to save the setting and return to the time mode. The setting is also saved if you wait around 15 seconds until the screen returns to displaying the time.

When the alarm sounds...

and the Radio alarm function has been selected, the radio operates for one hour at a predefined alarm volume. To switch off press the VOL.+/AL1 (or VOL./AL2) button. and the signal sounds alarm function has been selected, the signal sound is played for 10 minutes. To switch off press the VOL.+/AL1 (or VOL./AL2) button.

Note:
Please take note that the last tuned radio station together with the last used sound volume setting is used for the alarm call.

Interrupting the alarm Press the button SNOOZE to interrupt the alarm for 10 minutes (default
setting) (see also the section "Set snooze time").

Set snooze time

With the radio switched off, press the button MODE seven times. The screen displays the snooze time set (default isSNO 10). Use the UP and DOWN buttons to set the snooze time to a time between 1 and 59 minutes.

Turning off the alarm function Press the VOL.+/AL1 or VOL./AL2 button until the relevant alarm symbols
disappear from the screen.

Stop watch function

The stop watch function is only available when the radio is switched off. Press and hold down the PAGE button for around 2 seconds, the screen shows 0.00 0 U. Press SNOOZE to start the stop watch. The maximum time for the stop watch is 39 minutes and 59 seconds. If the stopwatch exceeds the maximum time, the indicator 39:59.0 appears and flashes in the display. During time measurement, it can be stopped by pressing SNOOZE. Pressing SNOOZE again restarts the stop watch. Hold down SNOOZE to reset the stop watch. Leave the stop watch by pressing PAGE.

Countdown function
The countdown function is only available when the radio is switched off.

Set and save countdown

Press and hold down the MEMORY SCAN button for around 2 seconds, the screen shows 0.00 D. The D blinks.

 Press the UP or DOWN button to set the desired time. 5 countdown times are preset on the memory buttons and you can open these directly using the corresponding memory button: Button M.0/5 5:00 Button M.1/6 10:00 Button M.2/7 15:00 Button M.3/8 20:00 Button M.4/9 25:00 Press the MEM button to save the set time, the memory space indicator MEM flashes on the screen. Now use the M.0/5M.4/9 buttons to select a memory space; when you press the relevant memory key the time is saved in this memory space and the time previously stored there overwritten. When the MEMORY SCAN button is pressed again you leave the countdown mode.

Call up and activate the countdown function Press and hold down the MEMORY SCAN button for around 2 seconds,
the screen shows 0. 00 D. Select the desired, saved countdown time with the aid of the M.0/5M.4/9 memory buttons. Press SNOOZE to start the countdown. Pressing the SNOOZE button again pauses the countdown. When the set time has been counted down, an alarm sound plays for one minute becoming gradually higher in tone and louder. Press the MEMORY SCAN button to pause the countdown and leave countdown mode.

Radio operation
Switching on/volume control Press the POWER button to switch the radio on. ON will appear briefly on
the screen, followed by the current frequency and band selection. Press the VOL.+/AL1 or VOL./AL2 button to control the volume: Button VOL./AL2: quieter; Button VOL.+/AL-1: louder. The sound volume is shown as a bar graph in the left of the display.

Switch on bass amplifier

When the radio is switched on, press the BASS button to switch on the bass amplifier. The screen will flash BASS. In order to switch the bass amplifier off again, press BASS one more time. The BASS message disappears.

Switch display message

In radio operation press the MODE button to switch between displaying the time and frequency.

Turning off
Switch the radio off by pressing the POWER button. OFF is shown briefly on the screen and the time is displayed again.

Sleep function
You can activate the sleep function via the SNOOZE button. You can set a time of up to 90 minutes in ten-minute steps, after which the radio will automatically turn itself off. To do so, first switch the radio off. Press the SNOOZE button. The symbol for the sleep function and 90 (for 90 minutes) will appear. Press the SNOOZE button repeatedly until 90 is displayed to count down the sleep time in 10 minute steps. Either select a sleep time (the sleep symbol remains on the screen) or press SNOOZE again until 00 appears on the screen. The sleep time is now switched off.

Setting the station

Select the required frequency band (FM, MW, LW or SW), using the frequency select button. The corresponding abbreviation will appear on the screen. The UP and DOWN buttons can now be used to set the desired frequency. If you keep UP or DOWN pressed for about three seconds, the automatic station search will start. The search stops as soon as a station with sufficient signal strength is found.

Setting the MW band

Since the radio transmitter systems differ from one country to another, you should make the appropriate setting via the reception range setting: With the radio switched off, press the button MODE six times and then select, using the buttons UP resp. DOWN, the appropriate reception range as per the following table:

Fine tuning
If a station can not be found precisely the fine tuning can be use to improve reception. During the channel search press the FINE button, the screen shows FINE. Now, using the buttons UP resp. DOWN, adjust the required reception range with smaller frequency steps. By pressing the FINE again you leave the fine tuning function again. This function is not available for the LW frequency range.

Aerial
The rotatable telescopic aerial on the radio can be used for the FM and SW bands. Pull the aerial out fully and arrange it for optimum reception. The SW SEN. switch on the left side of the device can be used to improve the reception quality for the SW band. Select LX for strong stations and DX to improve reception for weak stations. The telescopic aerial does not work in the MW and LW bands. In these ranges, reception is made by means of the built-in ferrite aerial. Align the radio for best reception.

Memory functions
Save station
The world receiver can save 400 radio stations. To store a station, proceed as follows: Set the frequency range with the frequency selection switch and then the station that you want to save. Press the MEM button. The screen shows the PAGE memory page and MEM flashes. Within 10 seconds press the PAGE button (the PAGE message flashes), and then select a memory page (from 00 - 39) using the UP or DOWN button. Within 10 seconds use the M.0/5M.4/9 buttons to select a memory space to store the station. For example, press the M.0/5 button once for memory space 0 and again for memory space 5. The occupancy is shown on the screen. Press MEM again to save the station. The PAGE and MEM messages are shown on a permanent basis.

Note:
If the world receiver is connected to the mains adapter and no batteries have been inserted, the station memories are lost when the adapter plug is pulled from the socket.

Selecting a saved station

In order to select a saved station directly, first use the frequency selection switch to select the frequency range where the station is saved. Press the PAGE button and then use the UP or DOWN buttons to select a memory page (from 00 - 39). Within 10 seconds press the M.0/5M.4/9 buttons to select a memory space to store the station. The station is played immediately after entering the memory space.

Carry out automatic station search

Your world receiver can search the frequencies within a range and store the stations it finds. Do the following to activate the automatic search (automatic memory scan/AMS): Press the MEM button once. The MEM message flashes. Hold down the MEMORY SCAN button for about 1 second. The world receiver now searches all frequencies in the currently selected frequency range and saves the stations it finds from the currently set memory page and memory space.

Displaying memory spaces Press the MEMORY SCAN button to call up the content of all station memories for the selected band. All stored stations will be played in succession for about 15 seconds. Press the button SNOOZE to finish the rendering of the memory positions.

Note: Please take note that with this the snooze function will be activated. Repeatedly press the button SNOOZE until 00 appears in the display.

Risk of injury from electric shock:
Disconnect the device from the mains power before cleaning it! Never immerse the devices parts into water or other liquids! Do not allow liquid to penetrate the housing.

Cleaning the housing:

Clean the housing surface with a slightly damp cloth. Never use petrol, solvent or detergents that could attack the plastic!

Sicherheitshinweise
Dieses Gert ist nicht dafr bestimmt, durch Personen (einschlielich Kinder) mit eingeschrnkten physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fhigkeiten oder mangels Erfahrung und/oder mangels Wissen benutzt zu werden, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine fr ihre Sicherheit zustndige Person beaufsichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anweisungen, wie das Gert zu benutzen ist. Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit dem Gert spielen. Gefahr durch elektrischen Schlag!

Schlieen Sie das Steckernetzteil nur an eine vorschriftsmig installierte und geerdete Netzsteckdose an. Die Netzspannung muss mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild des Gertes bereinstimmen. Lassen Sie beschdigte Steckernetzteile oder Netzkabel sofort von autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice austauschen, um Gefhrdungen zu vermeiden. Lassen Sie Anschlussleitungen bzw. Gerte, die nicht einwandfrei funktionieren oder beschdigt wurden, sofort vom Kundendienst reparieren oder austauschen. Tauchen Sie das Gert niemals in Wasser ein. Wischen Sie es nur mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch ab. Setzen Sie das Steckernetzteil nicht dem Regen aus und benutzen Sie es auch niemals in feuchter oder nasser Umgebung. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Anschlussleitung whrend des Betriebs niemals nass oder feucht wird. Sie drfen das Gertegehuse nicht ffnen oder reparieren. In diesem Falle ist die Sicherheit nicht gegeben und die Gewhrleistung erlischt. Schtzen Sie das Gert vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser. Stellen Sie deshalb keine mit Flssigkeit gefllten Gegenstnde (z. B. Blumenvasen) auf oder neben das Gert.

Brandgefahr!
Benutzen Sie das Gert nicht in der Nhe von heien Oberflchen. Stellen Sie das Gert nicht an Orten auf, die direkter Sonnenstrahlung ausgesetzt sind. Andernfalls kann es berhitzen und irreparabel beschdigt werden. Lassen Sie das Gert whrend des Betriebs niemals unbeaufsichtigt.

 Decken Sie niemals die Lftungsschlitze des Gertes ab, wenn es eingeschaltet ist. Stellen Sie keine offenen Brandquellen, wie z. B. Kerzen auf oder neben das Gert.

Verletzungsgefahr
Halten Sie Kinder von Anschlussleitung und Gert fern. Kinder unterschtzen hufig die Gefahren von Elektrogerten. Falls das Gert heruntergefallen oder beschdigt ist, drfen Sie es nicht mehr in Betrieb nehmen. Lassen Sie das Gert von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal berprfen und gegebenenfalls reparieren. Batterien drfen nicht in die Hnde von Kindern gelangen. Kinder knnten Batterien in den Mund nehmen und verschlucken. Sollte eine Batterie verschluckt worden sein, muss sofort medizinische Hilfe in Anspruch genommen werden.

Gewitter!
Bei einem Gewitter knnen am Stromnetz angeschlossene Gerte Schaden nehmen. Ziehen Sie bei Gewitter deshalb immer das Steckernetzteil aus der Steckdose.

Hinweis zu Stospannungen (EFT/elektrischer schneller bergangsvorgang) und elektrostatischen Entladungen:

Im Falle einer Fehlfunktion aufgrund elektrischer schneller bergangsvorgnge (Stospannung) bzw. elektrostatischer Entladungen muss das Produkt zurckgesetzt werden, um den normalen Betrieb wieder herzustellen. Mglicherweise muss die Stromversorgung getrennt und wieder neu angeschlossen werden. Die Batterien (falls vorhanden) mssen entnommen und wieder eingesetzt werden.

Hinweis zur Netztrennung

Die Taste POWER dieses Gertes trennt das Gert nicht vollstndig vom Stromnetz. Auerdem nimmt das Gert im Standby-Betrieb Strom auf. Um das Gert vollstndig vom Netz zu trennen, muss das Steckernetzteil aus der Netzsteckdose gezogen werden.

Hinweise zum Umgang mit Batterien

Das Gert verwendet Batterien. Fr den Umgang mit Batterien beachten Sie bitte Folgendes:

Explosionsgefahr!
Werfen Sie keine Batterien ins Feuer. Laden Sie Batterien nicht wieder auf. ffnen Sie die Batterien niemals, lten oder schweien Sie nie an Batterien. Es besteht Explosions- und Verletzungsgefahr! berprfen Sie regelmig die Batterien. Auslaufende Batterien knnen Beschdigungen am Gert verursachen. Wenn Sie das Gert lngere Zeit nicht benutzen, entnehmen Sie die Batterien. Bei ausgelaufenen Batterien, ziehen Sie Schutzhandschuhe an. Reinigen Sie das Batteriefach und die Batteriekontakte mit einem trockenen Tuch.

Fr Schden am Gert, die durch Feuchtigkeitseinwirkung, in das Gert eingedrungenes Wasser oder berhitzung entstanden sind wird keine Haftung/Gewhrleistung bernommen!

Netz- und Batteriebetrieb

Wenn Sie das Gert vom Netz nehmen, gehen eventuell vorgenommene Einstellungen (Uhrzeit, Weckzeit, Radiosender) verloren. Legen Sie ggf. vorher Batterien ein (s. u.), wenn Sie die Einstellungen sichern mchten, und nehmen Sie das Gert erst dann vom Netz.

Batterien einlegen
Statt am Netz knnen Sie das Gert auch mit Batterien (nicht mitgeliefert) betreiben. Hierzu bentigen Sie vier 1,5 V Mignonbatterien, Typ AA/LR6. ffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Gerterckseite, indem Sie den Deckel nach unten schieben. Legen Sie die vier Batterien unter Beachtung der Polaritt in das Fach.

 Schieben Sie den Deckel wieder auf das Fach. Werden die Batterien zu schwach, so wird dies im Display durch das blinkende Symbol angezeigt. Anschlieend schaltet sich das Gert ab.

Netzanschluss
Schlieen Sie den Gertestecker des Steckernetzteils an die Buchse AC ~9V 400 mA an der Gerteseite an. Verbinden Sie das Steckernetzteil mit einer gut erreichbaren Steckdose. Um Stolperfallen zu vermeiden, betreiben Sie das Gert nicht mit einem Verlngerungskabel.

Hinweis:
Wenn das Steckernetzteil angeschlossen ist, wird das Gert nur ber das Steckernetzteil mit Strom versorgt und nicht ber die Batterien. Die eingelegten Batterien werden nicht geladen. Bei lngerer Verwendung des Steckernetzteils sollten die Batterien aus dem Batteriefach entnommen werden. Ansonsten besteht die Gefahr, dass die Batterien auslaufen.

Kopfhrer anschlieen
An der linken Gerteseite finden Sie den Kopfhrerausgang.

Achtung!
Verwenden Sie ausschlielich den mitgelieferten Kopfhrer Typ E105 in Verbindung mit diesem Gert. Stecken Sie den Klinkenstecker des Kopfhrers in den Kopfhrerausgang. Der Lautsprecher schaltet sich dann automatisch aus.

Achtung:
Das Musikhren mit Kopfhrern ber einen lngeren Zeitraum und mit voller Lautstrke kann zu Gehrschden fhren!

Allgemeine Funktionen
Tastensperre
Um zu verhindern, dass durch unabsichtliches Berhren der Tasten Einstellungen gendert werden, knnen Sie eine Tastensperre aktivieren. Drcken und halten Sie bei eingeschaltetem Radio die Taste MEM fr ca. 3 Sekunden. Im Display blinkt die Anzeige . Alle Tasten, auer den Tasten SNOOZE und MEM, sind nun gesperrt. Drcken und halten Sie die Taste MEM erneut fr ca. 3 Sekunden, um die Tastensperre wieder aufzuheben. Die Anzeige im Display erlischt.

Displaybeleuchtung
Drcken Sie eine beliebige Taste, um das Display zu beleuchten. Das Display wird fr ca. 15 Sekunden beleuchtet.

Standfu
Klappen Sie den Standfu auf der Gerterckseite aus, um das Gert stabiler aufzustellen.

Zeitfunktionen
Ist die Spannungsversorgung hergestellt (Netz- oder Batteriebetrieb) beginnt die Zeit des Weltempfngers bei 0:00 00. Nehmen Sie die Einstellungen der Uhr und des Datums vor, wie in den folgenden Abschnitten erklrt. Die Zeitfunktionen knnen nur bei ausgeschaltetem Radio eingestellt werden. Wenn das Gert vom Netz genommen wird oder die Batterien entfernt werden, gehen die Einstellungen verloren.

Uhrzeit, Datum, Zeitzone und Weltzeit

Sie knnen ber die Taste MODE Uhrzeit, Datum und Zeitzone einstellen. Weiterhin knnen Sie die Weltzeit, den Datumsalarm, den Mittelwellenempfang, die Weckzeitunterbrechung, den Stundenmodus abfragen und einstellen. Wenn Sie die Taste MODE bei ausgeschaltetem Radio drcken, blinkt die einzustellende Funktion fr ca. 15 Sekunden. Nehmen Sie die Einstellung in dieser Zeit mit den Tasten UP/DOWN vor. MODE 1 x drcken: Uhrzeit einstellen MODE 2 x drcken: Datum einstellen MODE 3 x drcken: Zeitzone einstellen (Local City) MODE 4 x drcken: Weltzeit anzeigen MODE 5 x drcken: Datumsalarm MODE 6 x drcken: Empfangsbereich fr Mittelwelle einstellen. MODE 7 x drcken: Weckunterbrechung einstellen. MODE 8 x drcken: 12/24-Stunden Modus einstellen. Um eine Einstellung zu bernehmen, warten Sie einfach ab, bis die Anzeige nicht mehr blinkt (das Display schaltet auf die Uhrzeitanzeige zurck), oder wechseln Sie mit der Taste MODE zur nchsten Funktion.

Uhrzeit einstellen
Drcken Sie einmal MODE. Im Display blinkt die zuletzt eingestellte Uhrzeit. Drcken Sie die Taste UP bzw. DOWN, um die Uhrzeit in Minuten-Schritten vor bzw. zurckzustellen. Halten Sie eine der Tasten ein paar Sekunden gedrckt , um die Zeit im Schnelllauf in Zehn-Minuten-Schritten vor bzw. zurckzustellen.

Datum einstellen
Drcken Sie ein weiteres Mal bzw. zweimal MODE. Im Display blinkt das eingestellte Datum (bei der Inbetriebnahme Su 1.01.12). Drcken Sie die Taste UP bzw. DOWN, um das Datum vorwrts bzw. rckwrts zu zhlen. Halten Sie eine der Tasten ein paar Sekunden gedrckt, um das Datum in Zehn-Tages-Schritten vor bzw. zurckzustellen. Die Anzeige fr die Wochentage luft automatisch mit. Sie wird mit den ersten zwei Buchstaben fr die englischen Namen der Wochentage angezeigt. Der eingebaute Kalender reicht von 2000 bis 2099.

Drcken Sie ein weiteres Mal bzw. dreimal MODE. Im Display blinkt die eingestellte Zeitzone als Krzel fr die zugehrige Stadt (bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme UTC); die Uhrzeit verschwindet. Drcken Sie die Taste UP bzw. DOWN, um zur nchsten bzw. vorherigen Zeitzone zu gelangen. Die Tabelle auf der nchsten Seite gibt eine bersicht der Stdtekrzel fr die Zeitzonen und die Zeitverschiebungen.

Hinweis:
Um Ihre eingestellte Weltzeit richtig darzustellen, mssen Sie den Sommerzeitversatz je nach Weltzeit einstellen (siehe Tabelle).

Sommerzeitversatz
Nicht jede Zeitzone der Erde unterscheidet zwischen Sommer- und Winterzeit. Um Ihre Weltzeit richtig darzustellen, mssen Sie den Sommerzeitversatz je nach Zeitzone einstellen. Drcken Sie, whrend die Anzeige fr die Zeitzone blinkt, so oft die Taste SNOOZE, bis der entsprechende Zeitversatz (siehe Tabelle) eingestellt ist.

Spezieller Datumsalarm Drcken Sie die Taste MODE ein fnftes Mal, um den speziellen Datumsalarm einzustellen. Im Display blinken abwechselnd die Anzeige SDA1 und das Datum. Drcken Sie die Taste PAGE, um zwischen zehn einstellbaren Datumsalarmen (SDA1 - SDA 10) zu whlen. Drcken Sie die Taste UP bzw. DOWN, um das Datum einzustellen, an dem der Alarm ertnen soll. Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE, um die Eingabe der Jahreszahl zu ignorieren, der Alarm ertnt dann jedes Jahr. Wenn das aktuelle Datum mit dem SDA-Alarm bereinstimmt, ertnt an diesem Tag von 8:00 - 23:00 Uhr zu jeder vollen Stunde ein Weckton fr 10 Minuten. Im Display blinkt zustzlich die Anzeige SDA. Stellen Sie den Alarm durch Drcken einer beliebigen Taste aus.

Hinweis:
Um den Datumsalarm vollstndig zu deaktivieren, stellen Sie ein Datum ein, welches in der Vergangenheit liegt!

12/24 Stunden Modus einstellen Drcken Sie achtmal die Taste MODE. Im Display erscheint die Anzeige
24 HR fr den 24-Stundenmodus. Drcken Sie die Taste UP, um den 24-Stundenmodus einzustellen. Drcken Sie die Taste DOWN, um den 12-Stundenmodus einzustellen. Im Display erscheint 12 HR. Fr die Stunden des Nachmittags erscheint nun zustzlich PM im Display.

Anzeigemodus whlen
Sie knnen whlen, welche Daten im Display angezeigt werden, wenn das Radio ausgeschaltet ist. Der entsprechende Modus wird ber entsprechende Symbole im Display angezeigt. Whlen Sie bei ausgeschaltetem Radio den Anzeigemodus durch wiederholtes Drcken der Taste FINE nach folgender Tabelle aus: Symbol im Display Anzeigemodus CLOCK es wird nur die Uhrzeit angezeigt CITY es werden abwechselnd Uhrzeit und Weltzeit angezeigt DATE es werden abwechselnd Uhrzeit und Datum angezeigt CITY DATE es werden abwechselnd Uhrzeit, Datum und Weltzeit angezeigt

Weckfunktion
Der Weltempfnger stellt Ihnen zwei unabhngig voneinander einstellbare Weckzeiten AL1 und AL2 zur Verfgung. Fr beide knnen Sie einstellen... ...ob das Gert an jedem Werktag, am Wochenende, die ganze Woche oder an einem einzelnen Wochentag wecken soll; ...ob Sie mit Alarmton oder mit dem Radio geweckt werden wollen.

Weckzeit einstellen
Sie knnen mit Ihrem Weltempfnger zwei Weckzeiten programmieren. Weckfunktion Radio Signaltne Ausgeschaltet kein Symbol Symbol im Display

Drcken Sie bei ausgeschaltetem Radio die Taste VOL.+/AL1 (oder VOL.-/AL2). Im Display erscheint die zuletzt eingestellte Weckzeit und das Symbol fr den Typ des Alarms. Drcken Sie die Taste UP bzw. DOWN, um die Weckzeit in Minuten-Schritten vor bzw. zurckzustellen. Halten Sie eine der Tasten ein paar Sekunden gedrckt, um die Zeit im Schnelllauf in Zehn-Minuten-Schritten vor bzw. zurckzustellen. Drcken Sie die Taste VOL.+/AL1 (oder VOL.-/AL2) so oft, bis die gewnschte Weckfunktion (siehe Tabelle oben) im Display angezeigt wird. Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE, um die Wochentage, an denen Sie geweckt werden wollen, einzustellen: Sie knnen whlen zwischen werktags (Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr), Wochenende (Su, Sa), ganze Woche (Su, Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa) oder einen einzelnen Wochentag. Die gewhlte Einstellung wird im Display angezeigt. Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE so oft, bis die gewnschten Wecktage eingestellt sind. Halten Sie die Taste SNOOZE gedrckt, bis im Display ein einzelner Wochentag angezeigt wird.

 Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE, um den gewnschten Wochentag einzustellen. Um wieder zurck zur Auswahl von Werktagen, Wochenende oder ganzer Woche zu gelangen, halten Sie die Taste SNOOZE erneut kurz gedrckt. Drcken Sie die Taste MODE, um die Einstellung zu speichern und in den Uhrzeit-Modus zurckzukehren. Die Einstellung wird auch gespeichert, wenn Sie ca. 15 Sekunden warten, bis die Anzeige wieder die Uhrzeit zeigt.

Wenn der Alarm ertnt...

und die Weckfunktion Radio gewhlt ist, luft das Radio eine Stunde mit einer vordefinierten Wecklautstrke. Zum Beenden drcken Sie die Taste VOL.+/AL1 oder VOL.-/AL2. und die Weckfunktion Signaltne gewhlt ist, ertnen die Signaltne 10 Minuten. Zum Beenden drcken Sie die Taste VOL.+/AL1 oder VOL.-/AL2.

Hinweis:
Bitte beachten Sie, dass der zuvor eingestellte Radiosender mit der zuletzt verwendeten Lautstrke zum Wecken verwendet wird.

Wecken unterbrechen
Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE, um die Weckfunktion fr 10 Minuten (Standardeinstellung) zu unterbrechen (siehe auch Kapitel Weckunterbrechung einstellen).

Weckunterbrechung einstellen
Drcken Sie bei ausgeschaltetem Radio 7x die Taste MODE. Im Display erscheint die eingestellte Weckunterbrechung (bei der Inbetriebnahme SNO 10). Mit den Tasten UP und DOWN knnen Sie die Weckunterbrechung auf eine Zeit zwischen 1 und 59 Minuten einstellen.

Weckfunktion ausschalten Drcken Sie die Taste VOL.+/AL1 bzw. VOL.-/AL2 so oft, bis die entsprechenden Alarmsymbole im Display verschwinden.

Stoppuhr-Funktion
Die Stoppuhr-Funktion steht nur bei ausgeschaltetem Radio zur Verfgung. Drcken und halten Sie die Taste PAGE fr ca. 2 Sek., im Display erscheint 0.00 0 U. Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE, um die Stoppuhr zu starten. Die maximale zu stoppende Zeitdauer ist 39 Minuten und 59 Sekunden. Wenn die Stoppuhr die maximale Zeit berschreitet, erscheint und blinkt im Display die Anzeige 39:59.0. Whrend der Zeitmessung kann die Zeitmessung durch Drcken der Taste SNOOZE unterbrochen werden. Erneutes Drcken der Taste SNOOZE lsst die Stoppuhr weiterzhlen. Halten Sie die Taste SNOOZE gedrckt , um die Stoppuhr zurck zusetzen. Durch Drcken der Taste PAGE verlassen Sie die Stoppuhr.

Countdown-Funktion
Die Countdown-Funktion steht nur bei ausgeschaltetem Radio zur Verfgung.

Countdown einstellen und speichern Drcken und halten Sie die Taste MEMORY SCAN fr ca. 2 Sek., im Display
erscheint die Anzeige 0.00 D. Das D blinkt. Drcken Sie die Tasten UP bzw. DOWN um die gewnschte Zeit einzustellen. Auf den Speichertasten sind 5 Countdownzeiten vorgespeichert, die Sie durch Drcken der entsprechenden Speichertaste direkt aufrufen knnen: Taste M.0/5: 5:00 Taste M.1/6: 10:00 Taste M.2/7: 15:00 Taste M.3/8: 20:00 Taste M.4/9: 25:00 Drcken Sie die Taste MEM, um eine eingestellte Zeit zu speichern, im Display blinkt die Speicherplatzanzeige MEM. Whlen Sie nun mit den Tasten M.0/5 - M.4/9 einen Speicherplatz aus, durch Drcken der jeweiligen Speichertaste wird die Zeit auf diesem Speicherplatz abgelegt und die dort vorgespeicherte Zeit berschrieben. Mit einem nochmaligen Druck auf die Taste MEMORY SCAN verlassen Sie den Countdown-Modus wieder.

Countdown-Funktion aufrufen und aktivieren Drcken und halten Sie die Taste MEMORY SCAN fr ca. 2 Sek., im Display
erscheint die Anzeige 0.00 D . Whlen Sie die gewnschte, gespeicherte Countdown-Zeit mit Hilfe der Speichertasten M.0/5 - M.4/9 aus. Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE um den Countdown zu starten. Erneutes Drcken der Taste SNOOZE unterbricht den Countdown. Wenn die eingestellte Zeit vollstndig heruntergezhlt wurde, ertnt fr eine Minute lang ein Alarmton, der in Stufen hher und lauter wird. Drcken Sie die Taste MEMORY SCAN, um den Countdown abzubrechen und den Countdown-Modus zu verlassen.

Radiobetrieb
Einschalten/Lautstrke Drcken Sie die Taste POWER, um das Radio einzuschalten. Im Display
wird kurz ON eingeblendet, anschlieend erscheint die aktuell eingestellte Frequenz mit dem gewhlten Band. Regeln Sie ber die Tasten VOL.+/AL1 bzw. VOL.-/AL2 die Lautstrke: Taste VOL.-/AL2: leiser; Taste VOL.+/AL1: lauter. Die Lautstrke wird ber eine Balkenanzeige links im Display angezeigt.

Bassverstrkung einschalten
Drcken Sie bei eingeschaltetem Radio die Taste BASS, um die Bassverstrkung einzuschalten. Im Display erscheint die Anzeige BASS. Um die Bassverstrkung wieder auszuschalten, drcken Sie die Taste BASS erneut. Die Anzeige BASS erlischt.

Displayanzeige umschalten
Drcken Sie im Radiobetrieb die Taste MODE, um zwischen der Uhrzeitund der Frequenzanzeige zu wechseln.

Ausschalten
Schalten Sie das Radio aus, indem Sie die Taste POWER drcken. Im Display wird kurz OFF eingeblendet, anschlieend erscheint wieder die Uhrzeit.

Schlummerfunktion ber die Taste SNOOZE knnen Sie auch die Schlummerfunktion aktivieren.
Sie knnen eine Zeit bis zu 90 Minuten in Zehn-Minuten-Schritten einstellen, nach der sich das Radio automatisch abschalten soll. Schalten Sie das Radio hierzu vorher aus. Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE. Es erscheinen das Symbol fr die Schlummerfunktion und 90 (fr 90 Minuten). Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE wiederholt, solange 90 im Display steht, um die Schlummerzeit in Zehn-Minuten-Schritten herunterzuzhlen. Whlen Sie entweder eine Schlummerzeit (das Schlummersymbol bleibt eingeblendet) oder drcken Sie weiter die Taste SNOOZE, bis 00 im Display erscheint. Die Schlummerzeit ist nun ausgeschaltet.

Sender einstellen
Whlen Sie ber den Bandwahlschalter das gewnschte Frequenzband (FM, MW, LW oder SW). Das entsprechende Krzel wird im Display eingeblendet. Stellen Sie nun mit UP bzw. DOWN die gewnschte Empfangsfrequenz ein. Wenn Sie UP bzw. DOWN ca. drei Sekunden gedrckt halten, starten Sie den automatischen Suchlauf. Der Suchlauf stoppt, sobald ein Sender mit gengender Sendestrke gefunden ist.

MW-Bereich einstellen
Da sich die Radiosendesysteme in verschiedenen Lndern unterscheiden, sollten Sie ber die Empfangsbereicheinstellung eine Anpassung vornehmen: Drcken Sie bei ausgeschaltetem Radio sechsmal die Taste MODE und whlen Sie dann mit den Taste UP bzw. DOWN, den entsprechenden Empfangsbereich gem der folgenden Tabelle aus:

Senderfeinabstimmung
Wenn ein Sender nicht genau gefunden werden kann, ist es mglich, durch eine Feinabstimmung den Empfang zu verbessern. Drcken Sie whrend der Sendersuche die Taste FINE, im Display erscheint die Anzeige FINE. Stellen Sie nun mit UP bzw. DOWN die gewnschte Empfangsfrequenz mit kleineren Frequenzschritten ein. Mit einem erneuten Druck auf die Taste FINE, verlassen Sie die Senderfeinabstimmung wieder. Diese Funktion steht im LW Frequenzbereich nicht zur Verfgung.

Antenne
Die schwenkbare Teleskopantenne am Gert ist im FM- und SW-Band wirksam. Ziehen Sie die Antenne vollstndig heraus und richten Sie sie fr den bestmglichen Empfang ein. ber den Schalter SW SEN. an der linken Seite des Gerts knnen Sie die Empfangsqualitt fr den SW-Bereich verbessern. Whlen Sie LX fr starke Sender und DX, um den Empfang fr schwache Sender zu verbessern. Im MW- und LW-Band wirkt die Teleskopantenne nicht. In diesen Bereichen empfngt das Gert die Sender ber die eingebaute Ferritantenne. Richten Sie das Gert fr den bestmglichen Empfang aus.

Speicherfunktionen
Sender speichern
Der Weltempfnger kann 400 Sender speichern. Um einen Sender zu speichern gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Stellen Sie mit dem Bandwahlschalter das Frequenzband und dann den Sender ein, den Sie abspeichern mchten. Drcken Sie die Taste MEM. Im Display wird die Speicherseite PAGE angezeigt und die Anzeige MEM blinkt. Drcken Sie innerhalb von 10 Sekunden die Taste PAGE (Die Anzeige PAGE blinkt), und whlen Sie dann mit den Tasten UP bzw. DOWN eine Speicherseite (von 00 - 39) aus. Whlen Sie nun innerhalb von 10 Sekunden mit den Tasten M.0/5 M.4/9 einen Speicherplatz aus, in dem Sie den Sender ablegen wollen. Drcken Sie z. Die Anzeigen PAGE und MEM erscheinen nun dauerhaft.

Hinweis:
Wenn das Netzteil mit dem Weltempfnger verbunden ist und keine Batterien eingelegt sind, gehen die Speicherpltze verloren, wenn Sie das Steckernetzteil aus der Steckdose ziehen.

Gespeicherten Sender auswhlen

Um einen gespeicherten Sender direkt auszuwhlen, stellen Sie zunchst mit dem Bandwahlschalter das Frequenzband ein, in dem der Sender zu finden ist. Drcken Sie die Taste PAGE und whlen Sie dann mit den Tasten UP bzw. DOWN eine Speicherseite (von 00 - 39) aus. Whlen Sie nun innerhalb von 10 Sekunden mit den Tasten M.0/5 - M.4/9 den Speicherplatz aus, in dem der Sender abgelegt ist. Der Sender wird sofort nach Eingabe des Speicherplatzes wiedergegeben.

Automatischer Sendersuchlauf durchfhren

Ihr Weltempfnger kann die Frequenzen eines Bandes durchsuchen und die gefundenen Sender in den Speicher ablegen. Um diesen automatischen Sendersuchlauf (Automatic Memory Scan / AMS) zu aktivieren gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Drcken Sie einmal die Taste MEM. Die Anzeige MEM blinkt. Halten Sie die Taste MEMORY SCAN fr ca. 1 Sekunde gedrckt. Der Weltempfnger durchsucht nun alle Frequenzen im aktuell eingestellten Frequenzband und speichert die gefundenen Sender ab der aktuell eingestellten Speicherseite und dem Speicherplatz.

Speicherpltze abrufen Drcken Sie die Taste MEMORY SCAN, um die Belegung aller
Senderspeicher des gewhlten Frequenzbandes abzurufen. Alle gespeicherten Sender werden nacheinander fr ca. 15 Sekunden angespielt. Drcken Sie die Taste SNOOZE, um die Wiedergabe der Speicherpltze zu beenden.

Hinweis:
Bitte beachten Sie, dass hierbei die Schlummerfunktion aktiviert wird. Drcken Sie so oft die Taste SNOOZE, bis 00 im Display erscheint.

Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag:
Trennen Sie das Gert vom Stromnetz, bevor Sie es reinigen! Tauchen Sie die Gerteteile niemals in Wasser oder andere Flssigkeiten! Lassen Sie keine Flssigkeiten in das Gehuse dringen.

Reinigen des Gehuses:

Reinigen Sie die Gehuseoberflche mit einem leicht angefeuchteten Tuch. Verwenden Sie niemals Benzin, Lsungsmittel oder Reiniger, die Kunststoff angreifen!

Werfen Sie das Gert keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmll. Entsorgen Sie das Gert ber einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder ber Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europischen Richtlinie 2002/96/EC. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in Verbindung.
