N.C. Concealed Carry Handgun course ProTAC Safety Briefing 1.

You must know how to safely handle and be proficient with your handgun. 2. At the range keep all firearms in a holster or case and keep the action open until you are on the firing line. When you finish firing, the third distance (7 yds), open the action, and wait for me to clear your weapon, and then, immediately put your weapon back in the case or holster. 3. NO AMMO IN WEAPONS UNLESS YOU ARE ON THE FIREING LINE AND TOLD, BY ME, TO LOAD, then to ENGAGE YOUR TARGET WITH 10 ROUNDS!!!!!!! 4. Load only when told to, and then lay your weapon on the firing table (muzzle down range) when you finish firing each 10 rounds. (*Load magazines while waiting). 5. When on the firing line, keep your muzzle down range at all times (that means at YOUR target). Most people do great until they have a malfunction, then the muzzle starts swinging around (slow down and think). (turn your body not the handgun to look at it) 6. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are fully extended and ready to shoot. 7. Remember, I have to tell your sheriff that you can safely handle your firearm. Know what you are doing! 8. You are not on the range with your friends, so please take Range Commands from me (Load, Engage target, Clear weapon, and Cease fire (anyone can call a cease fire if they see something unsafe) safety first. 9. Use only factory ammo, no re-loads.
