Punctuations make the meaning of a sentence or passage more clear and easy to understand. Writing capital letters, putting commas, putting full stops, question marks etc in sentences is called punctuation. If a sentence is a A sentence always begins with a statement, it ends capital letter. Name of a person, with a full stop. place, country, river, ocean, mountain and unique object If a sentence also begins with begins with question words a capital letter.
Example:
like who, how, where, when, this is my teacher why, what etc This is my teacher. then it is a what is that noise Question. So What is that noise? remember to put I. Rewrite the sentences using punctuation marks: a question mark.

Proper Noun

DAV Public School, Panipat organized an oath taking ceremony for recently selected team of school prefects on April 24, 2009. The team members were brimming with confidence to shoulder the newly assigned duties. The team expressed its gratitude to selection committee for placing confidence in them. The sun rose through the cool firmament of dawn, bringing a warm glow that brought forth a solemn promise for the student populace of Good Shepherd International School. 21st of February 2009 was the day of the schools Investiture ceremony. This day was inaugurated by a promise of a brighter future as the new perfects got ready to be invested. The ceremony commenced at 3.00 pm in the school stadium surrounded on three sides by the breathtaking scenery of emerald green miles. The bugle call announced the arrival of the chief guest Mr. M.S. Sundara Rajan, Chairman and MD, Indian Bank and his wife Mrs. Lalitha Sundara Rajan. The school contingent, assembled majestically at the centre of the stadium, gave the chief guest a general salute as he drove by in the ceremonial jeep flanked by the four mounted guards. The schools sea cadet corps contingent led the march past followed by the four House contingents along with the brass and pipe bands. The bold music played by the bands instilled pride in the marching students. It was a feast for the senses. The members of the new Prefects Council assembled in a contingent and performed a slow march towards the pavillion. Upon reaching the pavillion they stood at attention, while the school choir sang the school song and the school prayer song. Then the school prayer was led by Karan Aswani (school vice captain 2008 2009). The most anxiously awaited moment, the oath taking ceremony, was performed by the prefects who took their oath of office with the promise that they would carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence. After the oath taking ceremony the prefects were given their certificates and badges personally by our chief guests. At the end of the ceremony our respected Principal,

Dr. P.C. Thomas delivered the welcome address, followed by an inspiring speech by our chief guest. His speech aroused inspiration and motivation in the hearts of the newly invested prefects and fired in them an enthusiasm to take up their responsibilities. Along with that he highlighted the facts about the current political and economic situation India. After his enlightening speech, the vote of thanks was proposed by our senior Vice Principal Mrs. Elsamma Thomas and then this graceful occasion had came to an end.
