Jose (Tony) Rivera Faith Integration Paper CS 330 Systems Programming I Dr. Bin Tang Faith Integration CS330 System Programming In the field and study of computer science from a developed Christian perspective, faith plays an ever and important role, enabling one a sense of appreciation, by taking advantage of this fast-paced technology that seemly always at the forefront in a changing world. With its technological advances and its benefits it provide, not to mention other life crises that assuredly affect us on daily basis; is no wonder being able to be atop of a competitive field, like computer science, can quite be strenuous on ones faith. However, there seems to be a propensity, as computer science progresses in its continuous cycle of discovering and applying new technology of this field, consequentially, a correlation exist between computer science and that of the Christian faith. Simply put, both computer science and faith affect the lives of others worldwide and work hand-in-hand, being creative and productive in every possible way to benefit others with promising outcomes. With this in mind, the opportunities are limitless, and as knowledge increases in a society that is consistently in an evolving mode towards a more advanced computer age, faith can be just as creative as well as being productive by benefiting others in this ever changing field, in a world that needs to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Computer science provides an opportunity to learn various ways of communicating to others with the faith of Christ through the use of its technological advances. One important area of computer science that correlates closely with the Christian faith is the ability to share and communicate effectively through the use of technology. It is a medium that can work hand-in-hand, providing an opportunity for other to learn not only that of the computer technology but insofar, an opportunity to sharing the everlasting gospel of peace. The various modes of communications that is prevalent in todays computer science are insurmountable compared to a couple of decades where the computer technology was not as advanced as todays far-reaching technical innovation overshadowing previous computing technology. As computer science becomes more robust in its endeavors to providing better communicating technology, faith can be projected in a very creative way, like computer science, by applying and utilizing those useful

technology in ways to be a witness for Jesus Christ, giving opportunity to others what God has in stored for those who would respond to the call of repentance of sins and discipleship of Jesus Christ. Both computer science and sharing ones Christians faith can be both a worthwhile investment of learning and sharing knowledge of computer science technology and the creative way of spreading the Christian faith to others, especially in time when God provides the means to help share is plan of salvation. Understanding how computer science and faith can effectively work together in the most positive and beneficial way, both elements provide invaluable dividends such as helping society to become more aware of its technological designs and the benefits that can provide them easier access of meeting their professional and social needs. With this in mind, it gives rise to an opportunity of having to share the faith that is presently available in the Gospel of Christ. Computer science and faith can help foster a unique blend of opportunities that both fulfill social and spiritual need of mankind, an endeavor, unlike any other time, where word-of-mouth or postal communications were only available to society. As mankind progresses into the computer age with its designed innovative technology that brings about a better quality of life, opportunities are in fathomable when it comes to sharing the Christian faith in many of these forms of benefits available in computer science. Just as computer science is always at the leading edge of technology, by increasingly testing newer ways products and services, faith too has its place in this field of study. Unlike any other time during the past several decades, where society had never benefited such unprecedented innovations as our current society experience on a daily basis; its an indication of no sign of abatement in years to come. On a continuing basis where computer science consistently tests new technology, faith can experience various forms of innovative ways by expressing communicative methods to a world that needs to hear the words of God. And with the advent of better and faster forms of computing products and services, it lends an opportunity to faith in finding ways of propagating the Christian values found in Gospel of Christ, where spiritual needs for one to hear the gospel can be fulfilled in the most innovative ways through the use of computer science. One important way in sharing the Christian faith through the use of computer science, is to mirror some of the technology available in the field of computer science; for example, the creation of websites that would provide articles of the Christian faith, or various Christian-based online video games that would promote a sense of belonging amongst believers through the use of this wonderful technology. In short, computer science has provided an opportunity for faith to work handin-hand in a fast changing society that is always experiencing newer technology on a daily basis. Faith plays an important role in the lives of individuals, where computer science is always relied upon to meet the quality of life of humanity. Sharing the Christian perspective through faith in the field of computer science has become much innovative due to the increase of technology available to us. There seems to be no abatement in the area of computer science where humanity has never experienced before the advent of personal computers and its technological advances available on a worldwide scale. Just as computer science continues to invigorate society better ways of communication each other the use of computers, faith can be innovative, in more ways than one could imagined in sharing the Gospel of peace, in a world that needs to hear the plan of God form Humanity.
