Area of application
Digital output modules convert the internal signal levels of the S7-300 to the external signal levels required for the process.They are suitable for the connection of such equipment as solenoid valves, contactors, small motors, lamps and motor starters.

Design
Digital output modules are characterized by the following features: Compact design - Green LEDs for indicating the signal statuses at the outputs - Plug-in facilities for the front connector, protected behind the front cover door - Labeling area on the front door Easy assembly There are no slot rules, the output addresses are defined by the slots. When they are used in ET 200M in combination with active bus modules, hot-swapping is possible. User-friendly wiring RC filter (for relay module 6ES7 322-1HF20): Relay module 6ES7 322-1HF20-0AA0 features a switchable RC attenuation network (300 /0.1 F) for reducing arcing across the contacts when switching large inductive loads (power factor = 0.4).. The result is, for example: - Increase of the life of the contacts from 100,000 to 200,000 switching operations for controlling a motor starter for a NEMA motor of size 5

When used with low leakage current, for example IEC type I input circuits, the network can be disconnected so that a false ON state is not signalled.
