/2010/PVS- 102010/553- S:- In exercise of the

powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20 read with section 4 of the Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007 (Guj. 2 of 2008), the Government of Gujarat hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Professional Post-graduate Courses (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2009, namely:1. These rules may be called the Professional Post-graduate

Courses (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) (Amendment) Rules, 2010. 2. In the Professional Post-graduate Courses (Regulation of

Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2009(hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 2, in sub-rule (1), after clause (f), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:(ff) Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) means an all India

examination conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi for the purpose of admissions to the postgraduate pharmacy courses;. 3. In said rules, in rule 4A,(1) under the heading, A. Government Seats, in clause (1),(i) sub-clause (a) shall be deleted; (ii) in sub-clause (b), for the words Universities, the words Universities or Institutes shall be substituted;

(2) under the heading, B. Management Seats, in clause (1), for the words the candidates who are the domicile of Gujarat, the following shall be substituted, namely:have passed the qualifying examination from any of the Universities or Institutes situated in the State of Gujarat, and have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Std.XII (10+2) pattern) from any of the schools situated in the State of Gujarat. 4. In the said rules, in rule 5,(1) in sub-rule (1), in clause (b), for sub-clause (i), the

following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:(i) qualified in the GATE in the relevant discipline for and GPAT for pharmacy and having valid

engineering

GATE/GPAT qualifying marks, or; (2) in sub-rule (2), for clause (ii), the following clause shall be

substituted, namely:(ii) qualified in the GATE in the relevant discipline for and GPAT for pharmacy and having valid

engineering

GATE/GPAT qualifying marks or the Common Entrance Test conducted in the current academic year, and; (3) in sub-rule (3), for the words GATE qualified candidates,

the words GATE/GPAT qualified candidates shall be substituted. 5. In said rules, in rule 11, in sub-rule (1), for clause (a) and the

proviso there under, the following clause shall be substituted, namely:(a) The first merit list shall include the candidates who have passed qualifying examination and have qualified GATE in the relevant discipline for engineering and have qualified GPAT for pharmacy and having valid GATE/GPAT qualifying marks, referred to

in sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 5. The marks of the GATE/GPAT shall be the merit marks.. 6. In said rules, in rule 17, in sub-rule (1), for item (v), for the

words GATE Score Card, the words GATE Score Card/GPAT Score shall be substituted. 7. In said rules, for the Appendix I and Appendix II, the

following Appendixes shall be substituted, namely:Appendix I
