The Trimble LASERGen suite of software applications manage large existing conditions data sets acquired with laser scanners and spatial imaging instruments. Photorealistic point cloud models can be displayed and managed in the LASERGen Viewer or within industry leading CAD products, without having to remodel or convert the points into CAD objects. LASERGen goes beyond visualization by providing design specific tools that automate the process of working with existing conditions data on plant projects. LASERGen integration with CAD includes tools to help CAD users gain valuable dimensional information, as well as manage demolition and interferences between the new design and the existing conditions data.

LASERGen VIEWER
LASERGen Viewer is a standalone viewing application that allows you to manipulate 3D laser scanner point cloud data and CAD models from Microstation and AutoCAD. Compare and analyze differences between point clouds and CAD models to quickly identify areas of interference or clashes with the existing conditions. Reduce costly rework and design time by designing from accurate real world data and identifying interferences immediately. Dynamically walk through LASERGen point clouds and/or CAD models. Measure point to point and delta distances in point clouds and CAD models. Manage multiple point clouds and CAD models for design review. Demolition and construction management. Easily toggle the display of point clouds, CAD models, and demolition areas. Assign colors to clearly visualize demolition areas or compare point clouds. Determine areas of interference or clash detection between point clouds and CAD models. Spherical Viewer for intuitive viewing of scans from scan center.

Plug-in for Bentley Systems, Inc.s Microstation that integrates LASERGen point cloud models with Microstation and Intergraph PDS. View LASERGen point cloud models inside MicroStation or PDS. Utilize MicroStation view controls and measurement commands. Clip volume utility to isolate areas of the point cloud only. Interference detection between point clouds and MicroStation models. Interference Browser to quickly locate and review interferences. Scan Browser to clearly view model from scan center locations.

TRIMBLE REALWORKS
Trimble RealWorks Survey software enables you to visualize, explore, manipulate and register as-built or scene data collected with Trimble Spatial Imaging and Industrial Environment instruments. Rich data acquired with industrial environment instruments such as the Trimble FX scanner, can be efficiently registered and converted into the LASERGen .bsf format. The conversion can be performed offline directly from the raw TZS data without any need to transfer the data through the RealWorks Survey database. The process remains fast and fluid. Plug-in for Intergraph SmartPlant 3D Utilize SmartPlant 3D view controls and measurement commands on point clouds. View scans and spatial data through the LASERGen Database Server for loading into SmartPlant 3D. Extract pipe center lines and tie-points from point clouds for use with SmartPlant 3D pipe modeling tools. Local interference detection between point clouds and SmartPlant 3D models.
