Batteryvoltage-dependent idle speed increase
Engine 119 in model 129 Effective serialnumber: As of chassisend no. F 032599 Depending on batteryvoltage, the engineidle speedis increased by approx. 100 rpm with the transmission in gear, therebyincreasing the chargingcapacityof the alternator. The CIS-Econtrolunit receiveda new part numberto differentiate the controlunit from the prevrous version.
07.3
Operation The idle speedIncrease is activated underthe toilowing conditions: . Enginecoolanttemperature between 60 - 110 "c, . Selectorleverin gear, . Batteryvoltage< 12.5 V for at least 20 seconds, . Eng,ne speedexceeded 900 rpm once.
The idle speedincrease is switchedoff if: . Selectorleverpositions"N" or "P" are engaged, o Enginecoolanttemperature exceeds'l 10 "C, o lgnitionis switchedOFF.
Once the conditions for activation are met, they remainstoredin the CIS-Econtrolunit untilthe ignitionis switchedoff, even if the battery voltagehas since risenabove 12.5 V.
