Installing Korg P.C. I/F driver with Windows Installing under Windows 3.

1 1 2 3 4 Double Click on the Driver icon in the Control Panel. Select "Add". On the "List Drivers" menu select "Unlisted or Update Driver". Insert the driver floppy disk and type the location of the driver files into the Install Driver dialog box. Then click on "OK". 5 Select "Korg PC/IF Driver" and click on OK. Configue the driver as required and then click on "OK". 6 Restart Windows. A full guide to installing the Korg PC/IF driver into Windows 3.11 can be found in the back of your Korg product s owners manual. Installing the Korg PC/IF Driver under Windows 95/98. Installing the Korg P.C. I/F under Windows 95/98 requires a different approach to the method as described for Windows 3.11 in the owners manual . To ensure correct installation of the driver, please use the following steps. 1) Click the "Start" button in the lower left-hand corner of the screen and select the "Settings" menu. Select the "Control Panel" folder. 2) Double click on the "Add new hardware" icon. At this point the "Add new hardware wizard" will automatically launch. Click the "Next" button. You will be asked if you would like the hardware wizard to automatically detect the new hardware, click "No". Click the "Next" button. Windows 98 is a little different to Windows 95 here. First it will search for Plug and Play devices and give you the opertunity to select the option "No, I want to select the hardware from a list". 3) You will be presented with a table of different hardware types to install, select "Sound, Video and game controllers". 4) Click the "Have disk" button. The "Copy manufactures file from" box should appear. Type in the location for the oemsetup.inf file, if you have copied the driver files to a floppy disk, this will be " A:\ " then click the "Ok" button. It is possible that the oemsetup.inf file is located in another directory on your hard drive if you have download the driver and not copied it to a floppy disk, if this is the case use the browse option to locate this file. 5) You will now be presented with the "Select device" window. The Korg P.C I/F driver should be automatically selected. Click "Ok". Click the "Finnish" button. 6) Continue to follow the instructions as detailed in the owners manual from step 5 onwards. Important information For both Windows 95/98 and 3.11: When configuring the port for Windows drivers, you must have the Korg device connected up to the appropriate COMs port of your P.C. and powered up. Also you will need to ensure that the PC/IF clock speed of the Korg product is set to the value of the 38.4KPS. This parameter is accessed in the Global Mode of your Korg product.
