Initiation Process: Hall setup for the initiation process will include a Dhyanalinga photo, lamp and flower arrangements. The initiation process will go as follows: 1. The mantras of the chant they need to learn will be played 2. Karupura Gauram Arti 3. Sadhgurus talk (video) 4. Participants will receive Shivanamaskaram with mantras. 5. Each participant will receive prasadams and other offerings, from a brass plate in front of the Dhyanalinga photo. (Chant will be playing in the background) Dhyanalinga Offerings given to the participants: 1. Black cloth 2. 21 Rudrakshas with Dhyanalinga pendent 3. Dhyanalinga photo with mantra 4. Black Sesame Prasadam 5. Dhyanalinga Vibhuthi 6. Akshayapatram Instructions for Sadhana period: Dates: 1. The sadhana begins on January 27th and ends on Mahashivarathri - March 10th 2. It is mandatory for the participants to be at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore on the Mahashivarathri day Sadhana guidelines: 1. Shivangas should wear the Rudraksha mala with Dhyanalinga pendant during the sadhana period. 2. Shivangas should wear a black cloth tied on the right upper arm. It can be rinsed in plain water during bath. 3. Have a shower/bath twice a day. You can use herbal bathing powder (snanam podi) instead of soap.

Vibhuthi is to be applied between eyebrows, pit of the throat, behind the ears, solar plexus, and navel. They should do Shivanamaskaram 3 times a day, with devotion(either before sunrise or after sunset)(in empty stomach) An Akshayapatra (biksha patra) will be provided, and the sadhaka has to receive Biksha from at least 21 people. The Akshayapatra needs to be brought to the ashram on Mahashivarathri.

They must soak 8-10 peppercorns along with 2 or 3 vilva or neem leaves in honey and a handful of groundnuts in water overnight. In the morning, on an empty stomach, they must chew the leaves,mix the peppercorns with lemon juice with honey(before kriya) and the groundnuts consume (after kriya) sadhana. They can have only 2 meals during the day, and their first meal should be had only after 12 pm. If they are feeling hungry, they can drink the same peppercorn, honey, lemon juice and water mixture. No Smoking, consuming alcohol and eating non-vegetarian food

Dress code: 1. Whites or light color clothing can be worn. Mahashivaratri Day Process: 1. After the midnight Mahamantra chanting, they will carry the Akshayapatra with offerings on their head and walk to the Dhyanalinga Temple, offering it there. 2. They will also bring 3 coconuts, each tied separately with black cloth, and a handful of sesame seeds also tied in a separate black cloth 3. The sesame seeds,akshayapatram and first coconut will be offered to Dhyanalinga near Nandhi. 4. Once they make the offerings, they will remove the black cloth from their arm and tie it around the tamarind tree and return to the Mahashivarathri venue. After Sadhguru chants Shiva Shambho, they will depart to Velliangiri mountains without a shirt. If cold, they can wear a shawl.

When they climb the mountain, they will carry 2 coconuts. At the mountain top, they will offer one coconut. The last one will be offered at Poondi temple at the foothills

After coming from the 7th hill,they will have a dip in the suryakund and darshan of dhyanalinga.All will receive prasadham.
