Terms and Conditions 1. Payment Terms 1.1 Invoice Amount includes all applicable charges. Extra charges may apply: a. Owing to pecuniary assessment of duty tax and penalties imposed by Octroi, Customs, Sales tax and Excise authorities. If the Transporter ('the Service Provider') has paid such duty, tax or penalty, it has every right to recover the same from you ('the Customer') at the time of delivery of goods. b. Packing service (if applicable) carried over multiple days. Packing service (if applicable) includes normal standard packing carried out on a single day (either the move date or any other date specified by the Customer). c. Owing to Waiting / halt time of more than 3 hours at the place of loading or un-loading. d. Significant deviation in the volume of the moving goods. e. Rearrangement of unpacked household goods. 1.2 The Customer shall be liable for all consequential damage / loss to the Service Provider for their false declaration at the time of booking, causing injury to any persons, damage to equipment or to other goods. 1.3 Storage / warehouse is not included. 1.4 Any balance payment must be cleared at the time of delivery. 2. Liabilities and Responsibilities 2.1 The Company acts only as a booking agent on behalf of third party Service Provider(s), it shall not have any liability whatsoever for any aspect of the arrangements between the Service Provider and the Customer as regards the standards of services provided by the Service Providers. In no circumstances shall the Company be liable for the services provided by the Service Provider. 2.2 At the destination, it will be the Customer's responsibility to make sure that the goods fit in the new premise. The Service Provider will not be responsible to remove doors and windows. It is the customer's responsibility to organise a specialist if needed. 2.3 It is the responsibility of the Customer to provide the Company with a correct and up to date contact address and telephone number during the transit of goods. 2.4 It is the responsibility of the Customer to be present or represented throughout the collection and delivery of goods. 2.5 It is the responsibility of the Customer to sign any relevant documents such as Receipts, Consignment Notes etc. as provided by the Company or the Service Provider. 2.6 If applicable, the Customer is responsible to adequately prepare and stabilize all electronic appliances or any such equipment prior to packing. 2.7 If applicable, the Customer is responsible to empty, properly defrost and clean refrigerators and deep freezers. 2.8 It is the responsibility of the Customer to arrange the parking for the Transporters or inform well beforehand if there is any parking restrictions. 2.9 It is the responsibility of the Customer to arrange a specialist to dismantle or disassemble any such goods which may so require. 2.10 It is the responsibility of the Customer to arrange plumber, electrician or carpenter, if required. 3. Rescheduling and Cancellations 3.1 Cancellation- Zero cancellations will only be accepted via telephone call or by writing an e-mail to the Company. Cancelation charges are based on how many days before the move date we receive the cancellation notice. Cancellation charges will be a percentage of the total move cost mentioned in the booking Invoice as below:(i) Before 48 hours from move date / shifting date, charges will be 5% of total transportation amount. (ii) Within 48 hours to 24 hours from move date, charges will be 10% of total transportation amount. (iii) Within 24 hours from move date, charges will be 25% of total transportation amount. 3.2 Rescheduling- Rescheduling of any booking should be made before 48 hours from the move date / shifting date via telephone or by writing an e-mail to the Company. Reschedule is subject to availability and confirmation issued by the Service Provider. Admin charges of upto 1% or 500 (whichever is lower) apply and also any increase in the cost of transportation due to reschedule. Insurance and Claims for settlement Insurance is provided by National Insurance Company. Please refer the Terms and Conditions provided in your Insurance Certificate. 'Service Provider' specific Terms & Conditions 1. Goods may not be delivered in time due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather, road diversion or breakdown of the vehicle. 2. Gas cylinders (if applicable) must be loaded empty. 3. Vehicle should be devoid of fuel, except in cases where it may be required for pickup and delivery at the door. 4. It is strictly prohibited to transport goods that fall under any of the following categories: a. Hazardous articles that may cause damage to other goods in the vicinity. b. Goods such as drugs, pornographic material, potentially dangerous, damaging or explosive items, including gas bottles, aerosols, paints, firearms and ammunition or any such items prohibited under Indian law. c. Jewellery, watches, trinkets, precious stones or metals, money, deeds, securities, stamps, coins, or goods or collections of any similar kind. d. Perishable items and/or those requiring a controlled environment. e. Goods which require special licence or government permission for Transport. f. Goods likely to cause infestation or contamination. g. Any animals and their cages or tanks including pets, birds or fish. h. Refrigerated or frozen food or drink. 5. Verbal abuse or threatening behaviour from the Customer may leave the job unfinished and the Customer will be responsible for any such occurrence.
