Burma

Geography/Climate
Burma has a very big area of land which the area of land is 676,552sq and is very much the size of NSW so theres a great deal of land. And the coastline of Burma is actually not that much it is 1,930 kilometres long and the highest point in Burma is Mt Hkakabo Razi which is not that high it is only 5,881 metres high a quarter of Mt Kosciusko which Mt Kosciusko is 2 kilometres high. And the lowest point of Burma is the Andaman Sea and the largest lake is the Ayeyarwady Lake. And the population of Burma is 60,280,000 which is three times the population of Australia. The climate is very high because Burma is in between the tropic of cancer and the equator which is the hottest part of the earth so most days the temperature is 320C but up north its colder so its mostly 220C. There are many people and most of these people live in cities so most of these cities are covered with people. These are the main cities which are Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyidaw and Mawlamyain which have amazing landmarks. Yangon is actually the largest city Burma which has a religious temple called the Sule Pagoda which is surrounded by the Yangon Lake. Yangon is in Rangoon which is down the bottom of Burma.

Culture
The religion of Burma is actually Buddhism which theres 86% of Buddhism in the whole of Burma which is a lot so most of the people are that religion but there are some others like Islam and Christianity but mostly Buddhism. In sport there national sport is Lethwei and Pongyi thaing which is a style of painting or type of painting. Burmas culture of music is very few only Harmony and Melodious which is very classical music. The language of Burma is Tibetan which is related to most of the Chinese languages. Burma has many foods but there most famous and national dish is Mohinga and Mohinga is rice noodles in fish soup but there are others like Lahpet which is ham, nuts, seeds, tomatoes and lime. There are many festivals and one is New Year which is called Karen which is in December and full of people.

Environment
Many people grow all types of plants most of these plants are freshly grown and native. Burma has a rich planting ground and has an end supply of hardwood, tropical plants and fruit. There are many plants and they mostly live in forests theres two types of forests and one is the monsoon forest and the rainforest. The monsoon forest is very dry and dominated by deciduous trees. And the rainforest has a lot of rain and is dominated by broadleaf evergreen. The national plant of Burma is the Rosewood flower which the people call the flower Padauk which the plant is a romantic flower and many more. Burma has fruit and because of that many animals lives and the most deadly is the massive Burmese python which can swallow an American alligator whole and is 5 meters long.

Politics/History
Most Asian countries have 1 president or King but Burma was split up into two magger parts of the country when the English fort with them in a war but Burma lost because the English had 5,000 but the Burmese had 200 people so there was a king before that and now theres 2 presidents for each part of the country so person is called Amyotha Hluttaw and Pyithu Hluttaw so they are

brothers and they rule the country. Infract Burma wasnt called Burma the country was called Myanmar before the English invaded but now most people call Myanmar Burma and that was in 1988. The Burma flag means that the Blue represents peace and endurance the Red represents courage and gallantry the white stands for purity and honor and there are these symbols and that is a cogwheel, stars and rice. The cogwheel and the rice stand for the countrys industry and agriculture and the union of the workers and the peasant class. The 14 stars stand for the 14 states.

Economy
The Burmese currency is Kyat similar to the Chinese currency the money has the president and the coins have the other president. The country is one of the poorest countries in the whole of Southeast Asia and from Thailand they import drugs and food. In Burma to get to Burma you have to travel by air but from Thailand you can go to the border towns. In the country most of the travel is by car but there is one railway which goes from the top of Burma and down to the bottom of Thailand and goes through more than 36 towns and during the building there is an estimate that 100,000 people died and in 1941 more people where dying from diseases and had 150 days without a day off and they still had to work.
