The hospitality and tourism industry continues to grow throughout Asia and being trained effectively and keeping up with the latest in the industry are essential for progress and success for any practitioner. This is where the Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management, Singapore, plays a significant role in delivering focussed industry-relevant education for managers in the hospitality and tourism sector in Asia. We draw on decades of experience and expertise in hospitality and tourism education at Cornell Universitys School of Hotel Administration, Ithaca, United States of America, and the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Our School
The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University is a specialized business school for hospitality management founded in 1922. The Nanyang Business School is a leader in graduate Asian business education. Among the worlds premier business educators in the hospitality industry, the two schools offer prestigious education, extensive Asian industry networks and relevant management expertise with diverse concentrations.

Our MMH Career Support


From the time our students arrive for their MMH in Asia program, we provide a wide range of career support including the career assessment workshop, resume writing, as well as career counseling and coaching sessions.We conduct a series of industry roundtables where industry leaders are invited to discuss current issues focusing on the Marketing, Operations, Revenue Management and Real Estate sectors respectively. An Industry and Career Trek to Hong Kong and Macau is organized to visit best-practice hospitality, real estate, and lifestyle organizations in May/June. The internship experience from January through February is an integral part of the MMH program. Functional areas and organizations that our graduates have interned with include Marketing for Expedia Asia Pacific (Hong Kong), Brand Marketing for Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts (Singapore, China and Indonesia), Human Resources for Starwood Asia Pacific (Singapore), Revenue Management and Development for IHG (China) and Marina Bay Sands, Operations for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts (Singapore), Operations and Strategic Planning for The Ascott Limited(Singapore), and Real Estate Development and Marketing for HVS (Singapore), Development at Pan Pacific Hotel Group (Singapore), just to name a few.

Areas of Concentration
Marketing Management - prepares students for careers in marketing and branding in the hospitality business. Graduates understand and learn to apply marketing and branding methodologies as well as up-to-date marketing trends in dynamic markets throughout Asia. Operations & Revenue Management - designed with two specializations in mind: Operations (hotel, food service, casino, and spa) and Revenue Management and Pricing for single, multiple, and regional establishments. Real Estate Finance & Investments - prepares students with the knowledge and skills for real estate related careers, such as asset management, financial analysis, appraisals/valuations, property development, investments and related consultancies. Self-Directed - enhances flexibility through selection of a wider range of electives, with faculty advice, to leverage students prior education and experiences to develop specialized career paths.
