Programme Coordinator The Bulldog Trust

in line with experience one year with potential for extension

JUNE 2013

The Bulldog Trust seeks a Programme Coordinator to join the team at the innovative new arts venue, Two Temple Place. This is an exciting opportunity for a Programme Coordinator to play an important role in the development of the charitable programme of activities at Two Temple Place, the stunning neo-Gothic headquarters of the Bulldog Trust. Two Temple Place is the focal point for many of the Trusts developing range of charitable initiatives including the Engaging Experience Philanthropy Network (connecting business people with charities in need of specific skills), our partnership with the Fulbright Commission to develop philanthropy among its alumni, and marquee events for small charities that would otherwise not have the opportunity to access a similar setting. In 2011 The Bulldog Trust launched the Winter Exhibition Programme at Two Temple Place. The primary aims of the Winter Exhibition Programme are to combine the chance for the public to see the magnificent interior of Two Temple Place, with the opportunity to showcase collections from outside London and support emerging curatorial talent. The Trust has already welcomed over 90,000 visitors to its first two shows, William Morris: Story, Memory, Myth (Oct 2011 Jan 2012) hosted in partnership with the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow, recently followed by the equally successful Amongst Heroes: the artist in working Cornwall (Jan April 2013) with The Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro. Each exhibition includes a complimentary series of exciting events and workshops as we strive to welcome new audiences. Two Temple Place also hosts an extremely successful education outreach programme which we intend to develop further with each exhibition, welcoming schools from all over London. Following the success of the first two exhibitions and their associated events and education programmes, The Bulldog Trust wants to continue to build on the momentum that recent activities have generated while ensuring that the Winter Exhibition Programme remains fully integrated with its overall charitable aims. The role of the Programme Coordinator will be key to supporting the senior management team as they develop innovative partnerships to enhance the Trust's work and increase the sustainability and efficiency of the Winter Exhibition Programme to enable the Trust to maintain its policy of free admission. The Programme Coordinator will support the Head of Programme in the further development and implementation of plans designed to increase the charitable use and charitable impact of Two Temple Place. These plans include extending a Fellowship programme and potentially developing a year round charitable events programme. The next exhibition to open in January 2014 is being planned with the University of Cambridge Museums and will centre on the theme of Discovery. Details are currently being finalised.
