Module III Discuss on comfort and industrial AC. For an auditorium to be airconditioned, the room design condition is 26C DBT, 18 C WBT, the outside condition is 40 C DBT, 26 C WBT. The room sensible and latent heat are 11.1 kW and 3.9 kW respectively. The conditioned air supplied to the room contains 25% fresh air and 75% recirculated room air. Determine : i) The amount of fresh air required ii) The DBT and RH of supply air and iii) By pass factor, if ADP of cooling coil is 10C. 20 OR Discuss on summer air conditioning. Air at 20 C DBT and 18 C WBT enters a heating and humidifying apparatus, from which it leaves at 35C DBT and 30C DPT. Moisture is supplied as liquid water at 27 C to humidify the air. Find the quantity of heat that must be added per kg of air through the apparatus. 20
