INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing the USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER. It is compliant with the USB 2.0 & 1.1 specifications (Data rate Hi-Speed 480Mbps). It supports 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet and HomePNA networking (ex: Cable/ADSL modem). You can plug-in the USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER to USB 2.0 host controller of the PC or Notebook and then connect to the Internet through Cable/ADSL modem connection or Intranet. The USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER offers a simple, flexible and highly scalable connectivity solution between the PC and Notebook. You can enjoy the higher performance and following the convenience to installation. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS x86 PC or Notebook.

LED INDICATOR DESCRIPTION

When the LAN transfer rate is 100Mbps, the Red LED indicator will turn on and blink. When the transfer rate on the Internet is 10Mbps, the Green LED indicator will turn on and blink.

NOTES: Please make sure that your PC or Notebook can support USB 2.0 specifications. Please refer to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) instructions to setup your Internet connection.

DRIVER INSTALLATION
I. Plug-in the USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER to the
USB 2.0 host controller of the PC or Notebook.

II. Install the driver of USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER

Under Windows 98SE
Step1. Click Next to continue.

Step2. Click Next to continue.

Step3. Click Specify a location and select Browse button. Specify the location for CD-ROM\Driver\Win98se_me.

Step4. It will find the driver of USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER under the CD-ROM drive. Click Next to continue.

Step5. Click Finish to complete the driver installation.

Step6. Click Yes to restart your OS.

Under Windows ME
Step1. Click Next to continue.

Step2. Click Specify a location and select Browse button. Specify the location for CD-ROM\Driver\Win98se_me.

Step3. It will find the driver of USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER under the CD-ROM drive. Click Next to continue.

Step4. Click Finish to complete the driver installation.

Step1. Click Next to continue.

Step2. Click Search for a suitable driver for my device [recommended] and Click Next to continue.

Step5. It will find the driver of USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER under the CD-ROM drive. Click Next to continue.

Step1. Select Install from a list or specific location [Advance] and click Next to continue.

Step2. Click Include this location in the search and Click Browse. Specify the location for CD-ROM\Driver\Win2K_XP.

To make sure you have installed the USB 2.0 ETHERNET ADAPTER successfully, please move the cursor to My computer Control Panel System Properties Device Manager. Double click Network Adapters and it will show the ASIX AX88172 USB2 to Fast Ethernet Adapter.

UNDER WINDOWS 2000/XP
