Why is this Approach Important? Teaching someone how to use the features of Microsoft Office without relating it to the templates they use is ineffective. It is similar to explaining the features of a car to someone without starting the engine and demonstrating them whilst driving.
So why is the Template so Important? Correctly created templates contain all sorts of timesaving features that most users would love to implement but sadly have no idea how to find. A common example of this in Microsoft Word is how to speed up the formatting of a document by using Word styles. Our template styles save our clients considerable processing time.
Who have You Trained using this Method? Right Aligned has trained hundreds of our clients using the templates they use by employing web conferencing technology to ensure costs are minimised. Recently we trained a company of 1,600 staff on an upgraded 2010 template suite that we built. Our template styles save our clients considerable processing time.
Why We did it? When the firm upgraded globally to Office 2010, the users required more efficiency with the new functionality and layout of the templates and styles.
What We did? We conducted in-house training sessions for 60+ global offices. Online tutorials were also available, allowing clients to review the information at their leisure providing a reference point.
What Value did the Client receive? The firm saved a considerable amount on its training budget as staff were taught globally using web conferencing. Users of the templates achieved a globally consistent one look- and- feel for their documents, markedly improving the professionalism of the documents and reducing the processing time. The firm received a professional documentation image upgrade, improving their brand quality and reputation.
Why We did it? The firm rebranded, and required their templates to be consistent. The guides enabled a smoother transition to the Office 2007 software and new templates. We provided the client with the correct tools to advance their business.
What We did? We created easy step-by-step guides, breaking down the functionality, customisation and layout of the new Microsoft Office packages (2007).
What Value did the Client receive? Additional knowledge and skills were gained, providing greater efficiency that ultimately saved time and money for Actis. The firm also received a smoother transition to using the new templates within Office 2007. This made the functionality and layout more user-friendly.

How We Operate We service customers in any location, at any time around the world using an internet-based, remote working model. This enabled us to reduce one clients support costs by over US$1 million per year by superior processing skills and by maximising our geographic coverage. For the past eight years we have worked with a leading executive search firm. In that time we discovered their internal support staff do not have the time nor the resources to educate themselves to the level required to create professional presentation graphics. We fill this time and knowledge gap by providing a Goldman Sachs quality presentation graphics service for a fraction of the cost.
We take Confidentiality very Seriously Our financial service background means we understand the significance of reputational risk and the importance of confidentiality to all firms. We take the discretion of our clients presentations very seriously our track record speaks for itself. How We Charge We charge clients at US$70 per hour. There are no setup or on-going charges outside of the hourly rate.
Just a quick note to say thank you. We presented this report to our client today and it was a huge hit! The document was both beautiful and effective. So happy to have you guys as our secret weapon! .

Knowledge Management
Providing the ability for all sales staff to access the best materials to wow clients.
Right Aligned provides its clients with a centralised document formatting service as part of a Presentation Centre. One key by-product of the service is the accumulation of best case branded resources in the form of a slide library of documents. These are typically re-used for similar presentations or contain slides or pages that are commonly used as part of sales presentations.
Slide Library A centralised presentations team, who protects your brand output, allows the best examples of materials created globally to be categorised, stored and retrieved by anyone in your firm. Right Aligned produced a slide library for our largest client, which catalogues all the best firm wide sales slides and shares them with the business development teams.
Image Library Your marketing team typically spends a small fortune buying and then hiding licensed images for your company. Right Aligned makes it possible, and very easy for the user to access these high quality images for their PowerPoint presentations and Word files. The result? Professional images that make an impact.
Biography/Staff Photo Library If your business works globally, and business development teams operate remotely, access to the latest versions of biographies for all team members is essential. Right Aligned created and oversees a library of biographies and high quality photos of staff members for our largest client. This is available firm wide via their intranet.
Logo Library If your business invests in or represents your work with other companies, then a library of high quality versions of these companies logos is essential. Right Aligned has a logo library of over 7,000 companies, all of high quality vector output, suitable for all presentation requirements.
Custom Templates
Why are Style Guides Important? Style guides are crucial as they provide a detailed description of the correct settings of the design package. This enables users to re-create the designers impression of a document. This becomes the basis for the information required to train all staff successfully in the re-creation of these documents.
How are Style Guides Used? A user style guide is created by the template developer when they are creating the suite of templates. The template developers mission is to ensure as many of the design features are set within the design package. The style guide is then made available to corporate trainers or the end users responsible for creating the document.
Who uses Our Style Guides? Right Aligned has been responsible for creating style guides that benefit corporate branding for multinationals. There have been countless documents created following the styles guides that Right Aligned has established
Why can this be Important? Sometimes what you need to accomplish with the standard Microsoft Office package is far too time consuming. By utilising Microsofts programming languages, you can take advantage of your computers power and eliminate many repetitive tasks. This approach can be a significant time saver.
What programming laungage? Using Microsofts VBA and .NET framework, the standard Microsoft Office package can be extended to produce powerful results. Whether you are creating a dashboard for your business development teams in Excel, or a customised colour palette for PowerPoint, tasks beyond native Office are markedly improved.
Who has used our Service? We have created customised colour and template palettes for older versions of PowerPoint and developed customised reporting using the latest version of Excel. We have also devised a bridge between the custom output of a cloud based database and branded Word templates.
Templates
Why We did it? To create a user-friendly, macro-driven toolbar which would allow the user quick access to the most common functionality in PowerPoint. This simplifies the process of compiling branded documents, saving time and ultimately cost to both the company and client.
What We did? We managed the creation of the toolbar from first draft through to completion, and assisted in the rollout to individual users. With our experience with presentation packages, we provided professional guidance on additional options and features to enhance functionality. The toolbar was context driven which enabled it to determine which template was being used, in print or onscreen. It also ensured that the assets and tools were appropriate to the template. Branded tables and charts, and additional slide elements could be easily added to slides. This eliminated the need to re-create them each time they were required. What Value did the Client receive? The individual user not only gained quick access to specific functions, eliminating repetitive tasks but also gained knowledge and confidence. This reduced their workload, cut costs and ultimately improved the value and brand of the company with a uniform look and feel.

Why We did it? A system was necessary to allow the users instant access to the most up-todate content and templates available. This ensured the correct documents were always used, saving time from sourcing files off the intranet or SharePoint. We established the system to manage slide libraries, logos, biographies and images, avoiding issues when updates occur. This system also kept all files within the company brand guidelines.

What We did? Our team created a custom program which would allow a centrally controlled server to deliver content to all consultants within the firm on a daily basis, (if required). When a computer was switched on, it would automatically check with the central server for any content updates. It would then update to their local machine, and consultants could then add those folders to their favourites for quick access.
