Module: Module is nothing but a collection of forms, reports and programs are related to particular business process.

We can have multiple languages folders based on installed languages. Differences between PO (Purchasing Module) and Apps Schema. * PO schema contains only purchasing Database objects. * Apps schema contains only synonyms for all the database objects. * PO schema does not have the rights to access other Modules Database objects. * Apps schema has got the rights to access all the modules (schema) database objects. AOL ( Application Objects Library) After object development/Customization the objects to be registered with this. This has got the two responsibilities. 1. System Administrator: Which has got the functions like 1. Users 2. Responsibilities 3. Reports Development and Customizations 4. Procedures 5. Printer Installation 6. All Admin Activities. 2. Application Developer: Which, got the functions like 1. Forms 2. Menus 3. Messages 4. Flexfields 5. Profiles. Responsibilities : A Responsibility is a level of Authority in Oracle Applications that lets users access only those oracle applications functions and data appropriate to their roles in an organization. It is nothing but a group of menus, request group and data group. Menu: It is nothing but collection of forms. Request Group: It is a collection of Reports. Data Group: It is nothing but collection of Oracle applications. Request Group: It is a collection of concurrent Programs. It is used to request programs from the responsibility. Data Group: It is a collection of Modules used to integrate one or more Modules for cross application transfer of data, cross application reporting and cross application reference. If we want to get data from other Modules we need to define those modules in the Data Group. Functions: A function is a part of an applications functionality that is registered under a unique name for the purpose of assigning it to, or excluding it from, a menu (and by extension, a responsibility). Menu: A menu is a collection of Sub-Menus and Functions.

Login into Oracle Apps: 1. Open internet Explorer, type the following URL in Address bar. http://texanr12.ora.com:8000 http://apps.ora.com:8000/ 2. Database Admin Users are: operations and sysadmin Login to operations user User Name : Operations Password : welcome Click on Login button 3. It will Html form. Choose System Administrator Responsibility Select Security: User, Click on Define Form link. It will display oracle form. In Forms visual Mode: 1. Select Security=>User=>Define. 2. Enter User Name : NAGARAJU1 Enter Password twice : 12345 Click on Save button 3. Select the following responsibilities. System Administrator. Application Developer. 4. Click on Save. 5. Close the form. 6. Select File=>Exit Application ( Close the Oracle Application) 7. Logout/close Html form. 8. Login with NAGARAJ1 user for the first time it will be ask for password changes. 9. Select your System Admin Responsibilities. Navigation in Oacle Apps: Shorcut Keys: F4 Close the form. F11 Query mode open. Ctrl+F11 Search Mode. Ctrl+ S Save.
