Introduction
Main part of firmware. Other names is: MCU, Firmware.
Device file system with internal pictures/logo/melodies/WAP settings etc. Other names: FLEX, MAP.
Language pack. Other names: LangPack, LP, PPM.
Part of device memory with battery/RF calibration data, user settings etc.

General IMPORTANT information (you can skip rest information, but read this please)
Before any operation select correct phone type, COM port and port speed.

Software can be used on ordinary COM port and with any types of high-speed com ports like USB-RS232 converters (FTDI,
Prolific) or high-speed PC card (f.e. Moxa C104/C168 etc.). It is not recommended to use any system patch to increase PC motherboard
built-in COM port speed. Some procedures that need fast flashing can be supported only with our special box/cables (FTDI based USBRS232 converter).
For many models it is possible to flash all parts of phone (MAIN/FFS/LP) one by one or all together. You can use any
combination. But when you flash only LP/FFS without MAIN, please, be carefull and always test phone functionality after this operation.
Fast LP/FFS flashing can save a lot of time, but if MAIN version will be not the same as version of LP/FFS then it is possible to get
different bugs in phone functionality.
So, it is recommended to use MAIN+FFS+LP flashing when possible.
Also, always use LP/FFS files that have the same version (you can easy see this by file names). Use different version FFS/LP files only in
emergency case.
It is possible to flash phones from different regions (Euro to Asian and back) but remember that it can be some limitations for
Euro/Asian flashing because some models for Asian market can have hardware difference in compare with European models.
After end of each operation always remove battery from phone for several seconds and put it back. Never leave battery in
device for long time after any operations because you see nothing on device LCD but internal procedures can still works and battery can
be empty in short time.
Read Flash option added for service use only. If you cant find correct flash files for your phone on support area but you
have sample phone with flash that you need: read flash from it and send to support team. This readed flash file will be tested by our
high-qualified engineers and then it will be uploaded into support area. After this operation you will be able to use new flash file for
your phone. Probably this is not so easy and fast way to get new flash files for end-user, but this procedure can save a lot of your
money and avoid you to buy permanently damaged phone after wrong flashing.
Please, be patient, reading process can take a lot of time.
You can stop any current process by pressing Stop button but think twice before you will make this.
Never remove dongle from PC USB port when software make any operation. This action can make software freez and as a
result your phone can be damaged. If dongle was removed from PC it is need to close software and start it again when dongle will be
inserted.

1.2.

Problems and support

If you have any problems with software, please, make the next operations:
Check, is dongle inserted in USB port of your PC and you can see dongle serial number at right down corner of software.
Check, is cable really working (inserted in PC, no wires is damaged).
Check, is your cable can support selected COM port speed.
Try requested operation on lower port speed. In many cases this can solve problem.
Also, it is always better to use cables with external power.
If you still have problems, please, contact to support with detailed description of problem, and, also, please, attach in you problem
description all messages from software Operation status window. Also, include information about your PC hardware, cable type, OS
type and dongle No (you can find it at bottom right corner of software window).
If you have found any bugs in software, please contact to support. We will be glad to help you and to remove all bugs that was found.
