CEILING SPEAKERS
The ACS3.0 and SS-82W (Sweetspot) are a part of the architectural series of in-ceiling speakers. The ACS3.0 are designed like traditional downlights with a total diameter of just 80mm and the simple gimble mechanism typical of downlights. Despite the size, they have a huge range (150Hz-21kHz), making them capable background speakers or presence speakers as a part of a home theatre. The Sweetspot (SS-82W) is designed for directional sound with the speaker being mounted at a 20 degree angle. Let's face it, most jobs require the mounting of inceiling speakers outside of the viewers seated position. These will naturally angle the sound back to the listening position avoiding the echoes and reflections of commonly designed speakers. The IQ in-ceiling speakers produce amazing sound in rooms that are far from acoustically perfect. With the dual tweeter arrangement, it is effectively two speakers in one. This allows for situations where only a single speaker can be mounted due to say space or wiring constraints or for situations where you want the left and right audio to originate from one point. Multi-room audio jobs will commonly feature this style of speaker.

OUTDOOR SPEAKERS
We have focused on 3 areas of the earthquake range, in-wall / in-ceiling speakers, subwoofers and outdoor audio. When it comes to outdoor, it's not just about sound quality, but also about resisting the elements. These all weather speakers feature anti-rust grilles and UV rated materials. Even the screws are aluminium, meaning that you won't get those rust marks dripping down an otherwise white grille. The sensitivity is also better than most at around 90dB, 93dB. Because cable runs are generally longer for outdoor speakers, extra sensitivity comes in handy. Also small details such as the S-shaped port on the Granite-10D ensures that water will not get trapped inside.

Subwoofers made the Earthquake brand are a global phenomenon. For the first shipment, we included mainly the Minime subwoofers. Minime subwoofers are the biggest sellers, mainly due to the relatively small size, yet still preserving the Earthquake power and quality. The subs contain a powerful digital (Class D) amp that powers an active speaker driver. On the other side of the subwoofer is a passive speaker. With trickery like SLAPS (Symmetrically Loaded Audio Passive System) you get power and musical performance. In the first shipment, we also included the IW-SUB10 (Thor) in-wall subwoofer. This involves hooking up the subwoofer output on your receiver to a powerful XJ700R Earthquake amplifier. This then feeds 2 Thor 10" subwoofers. These can be mounted anywhere - in the wall, floor or under the sofa. It has also been designed to be practical for the installer mounting on a 450mm stud and having a mounting depth of only 96mm! The grilles can also be painted or if it suits, cloth grilles can be fitted to the front.
