Using ADA

ADA is a managements software for Pedigree Animals Breeders.

With ADA you should manage easily all data referred to your pedigree animals
and keep them always organized. With this software you will be able to carry on
medical histories, vaccinations, reproduction files, and clients data, etc.

To start using ADA you should touch with the pencil your Palm icon.


Right now, you should begin using ADA.

Bottoms reference:


Go to animals data.

Go to treatments screen.

Go to vaccinations screen.

Go to medical histories screen.

Go to reproduction files (only in the registered version).

Go to clients screen.


Furthermore, each screen has bottoms to specific actions.


New: Create a new record.
Del: Delete the current record.
Close: Close the screen.

At any time, you can accede to the menu by touching with the pencil on the
upper part of the screen upon the name or in the following icon:

How to use ADA?

Touching with the pencil upon one of the bottoms (Animal, Treatments,
Vaccinations, etc.) you should go to the selected screen.

Animal: option by which you will see a table with a brief description of the
animal, by pressing the New bottom, you should add a new animal or touching
over the animals word, you should modify or delete it.



Name: animals name (50 characters maximum).
Call name: name with which you call to the animal (50 characters maximum).
Birth: date of birth, by touching here, the following screen will be displayed,
over it you should put the date.


Death: animal's date of death.
Sex: choose the animals sex (M: Male, F: Female).
Pedigree: animals pedigree (25 characters maximum).
Color: animals color (25 characters maximum).
Reg #: Federations number (25 characters maximum).
Marks: distinguishing marks (50 characters maximum).
Breeder: breeders name (50 characters maximum).
Owner: choose the owners name, charged previously into the screen clients.

By pressing the Pedi. button, you will be able to enter to the animal's pedigree
screen; here you will be able to put parents and grandparents' name.



Treatments: here you should put the next treatments and dates of each
particular animal.




Note: At first, the table will be empty, by pressing the New bottom, the next
screen where you can enter data, will be display. You should also be able to
leak the information by selecting the animal, in the fold-out list Animal.

At any time, by touching upon a line, the correct screen will be display to modify
the same data. This is applicable to all the screens.

Animal: by touching here, a list with all the animals will be display; you should
select one of them.
When: you should choose the date of the next treatment.
Next treatment: treatments description (2040 characters maximum).

Vaccination: option to add dates and vaccinations given to each animal.



Animal: by touching here a list with all the animals loaded will be display; you
should select one of them.
Date: you should choose the vaccinations date.
Vaccine: vaccination that will be given on each animal (50 characters
maximum).

Medical history: here you should enter date, weight and medicines that were
given to each animal.




Animal: by touching here, a list with all the animals loaded will be display; you
should select one of them.
Date: you should choose the date of appointment to the vet.
Weight: animals weight (6 characters maximum, including commas).
Medicines: medicines applied to the animal (125 characters maximum).

Reproduction: (Available only in the registered version). Individual
reproductions files, in it there is a resume of the females reproductive pedigree
race.




Animal: by touching here, a list of all the animals loaded will be display; you
should select one of them.
Weight: females weight (6 characters maximum including commas).
Labor: you should select how the labor was (Normal, Extraction, Attended o
Caesarea).
Estrus: detection of estrus period.
Mount: mounts date or insemination.
Male: males name (50 characters maximum).
Interval: interval between estrus-mounts (3 characters maximum) i.e. 10
minutes.
Labor: labors date o abortion.
Litter: number of litters (2 characters maximum).
M: number of male pups alive (2 characters maximum).
F: number of female pups alive (2 characters maximum).
Abortions: number of aborted pups (2 characters maximum).
Deaths: number of dead pups during the birth (2 characters maximum).
Euthanasia: number of euthanasia pups (2 characters maximum).
Cause of euthanasia: here you should choose the cause of euthanasia (None,
Number or Defect).

By pressing the Prog. button, you will be able to enter into the screen
(Progeny), with the same name; here you should add the name, sex and
registration number.

Clients: enter clients data, then, the clients names will be used in the animal
screen to select the owner of the animal.




Name: name and surname of the client (50 characters maximum).
Address: clients address (50 characters maximum).
Tel.: clients first telephone number (25characters maximum)
Tel.: clients second telephone number (25 characters maximum)
City: clients residence city (50 characters maximum).
Email: clients e-mail (125 characters maximum).

In the main form, entering to the menu you will be able to opt for 4 types of
colors, Color 1, Color 2, Color 3 or Normal.
(Only for Palms with screen color).

NOTE: If the product is not registered, when changing the colors it will be
shown registration screen.

About: About ADAs author. In the top right-hand corner of the main screen,
you can see this icon. By touching over it, an About of screen will be
display.

Registration

Registration costs USD $16.95 and is performed securely at:

http://www.accionsoftware.com.ar
or
http://www.handango.com

Please ensure that you include your email address for delivery of the registered
software package.

Installation

The following steps will get you up and running with "ADA".

1) Open the downloaded Zip file and extract all files into a temporary directory.

2) In this temp folder you will find 3 files with the extension .TXT which are text
files you should read first. The other file is manual (.PDF) while the final .PRC is
the installer.

Double click the installer .PRC file to launch the Palm installer and choose the
HotSync ID
(tm)
for the device on which it is to be installed.

3) Place you Palm device in its cradle and perform a HotSync(tm).
The "ADA" installation file is now installed on your handheld and ready to be run
on the actual device.

4) On the handheld, locate "InstallMe" in your UNFILED category.
Tap this icon to launch the installer. During this automated installation, you may
be prompted on how to handle existing files IF any are found. As a general
rule:

Overwrite existing files if the version # of the existing file is LESS than or
EQUAL to that of the file being installed. Otherwise tap the appropriate button
to cancel the installation of the older file.

5) Once all files are installed, the installer will delete itself and launch the
program file itself.

your use of the program constitute acceptance of all of the terms of this license.

The program copy and documentation are furnished to make "ADA" available for your use and

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY PART OF THIS LICENSE, DO NOT USE THIS
SOFTWARE. Delete "ADA" and all associated files from all media on which it has been copied.
