Stage 2 Assessment Evidence


Performance Task: Summary in GRASPS form Goal(s): The goal is to plan, create, and deliver a professional and well organized presentation with the use of multimedia equipment. Role: You are the student presenting your idea for the Senior Class Trip. Audience: Your audience is made up a panel of teachers and administrators in your school. Situation: You are to present your idea for the Senior Class Trip to a certain destination in a persuasive manner to a panel of administrators and teachers. Performance: Phase I: You are responsible for developing a proposed budget for your specific destination including transportation costs (airfare), lodging costs, dining costs, and leisure/entertainment costs (tours, plays, sporting events, etc). You will create a chart differentiating these costs. You will also create a graph to illustrate the total projected cost for different amounts of students going on the trip (cost of 10 students, 20 students, 30, 40, 50,). Phase II: You will plan, create, and deliver your Senior Class Trip Destination Presentation professionally and using multimedia equipment. This should be persuasive and directed toward the audience. The presentation will include the proposed budget, graphs, and chart you developed in Phase I. Standards: Phase I: -Use formulas to display mathematical concepts. -Include appropriate graphs and charts. Phase II: -Presentation includes budget, graph, and charts developed in Phase I. -Presentation is professional and organized. -Presentation is persuasively geared toward the school administration and teachers. Key Criteria: Phase II Presentation Rubric with following criteria: Presentation was professional and organized. Presentation included use of multimedia equipment (PowerPoint). Student incorporated requirements from Phase I. Student demonstrated effective speaking skills. Other Evidence Phase II Observation: Student could answer questions from audience during the presentation.
