Objectives

Activities Make the necessary arrangements for the class (checking attendance, performing any seating changes, preparing the necessary materials). The teacher will tell the students that in order to report commands, instructions, requests or suggestions in reported speech, we use an appropriate introductory verb (ask, order, beg, suggest, tell etc.) and the to-infinitive, -ing form or that- clause, depending on the introductory verb: Stop the car! the policeman said. The policemen ordered him/ her to stop the car.
