Software synergy
Perfect integration into the CAE chain
Flux communicates easily with numerous tools:
To import geometry or mesh
To co-simulate with Portunus system simulation (also giving
access to Pspice)
To co-simulate with MATLAB / Simulink for drive and control devices
To import motor templates from SPEED
Co-simulation with other physics disciplines
All the CEDRAT Software Solutions
Flux is the most open electromagnetic simulation tool on the market, therefore Flux naturally ts
within your existing toolchain.
Flux ease of use and software operability suit both large corporations and smaller engineering
teams.
With its command language derived from the well known Java and Python object oriented languages,
Flux allows the user to deh ne its own macros and interfaces to simplify its work, from generating
geometry through to post-processing solution results.
Flux to Portunus Co-simulation
Flux features co-simulation capabilities with Portunus & MATLAB Simulink enabling the design of the
device and its drive and control part taking into account saturation, Eddy Currents, control loops.
Multiphysics interoperability
CEDRAT has developed an API which enables Flux to communicate with any kind of software. It can be
coupled to other simulation software to model the interaction with CFD, system simulators, mechanical.
This connection can be direct or driven by the MpCCI technology.
Supported systems
Flux has historically pioneered the CAE industry with its advanced solvers, incorporating techniques to
minimise computation times. Flux beneh ts from Red Hat Enterprise Linux Edition 5 technology (while also
remaining optimised for 32 and 64 bit processors) allowing you to simulate increasingly complex cases.
