WELCOME PROCESSION, HYMN 272 CALL TO WORSHIP

Amy Butler

Young and old, sons and daughters of God, all you who are the diverse creations of Gods imagination and love, join in praise and thanksgiving as we worship the One who brings us together! We come to this place, bringing our varied stories, our unique gifts, and our distinct calls to serve. We come together in partnership and mission, knowing that we are called to be the church: to celebrate Gods presence, to serve others, to seek justice, to offer the hope of the Resurrected Christ. We are called to be the body of Christa community of believers, a household of faith, a communion of saints, the people of the covenant. We are called to the one hope of our high callingone Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God. As members of the body of Christ, we covenant together in this hour to build on our sure foundation of Jesus Christ our Lord and to seek the vision of Christs hope for the world. Let us worship God! Beyond all bounds Gods graciousness and kindness shall extend. The Lord is ever slow to wrath, his mercy has no end. His mercy rests on all his works, his love on everyone. Your faithful servants bless you, Lord, and all that you have done. The glory of your kingdom and your power they proclaim, that peoples all may know your power, the splendor of your reign. Through every age your throne remains, your kingdom will endure. The Lord shows love in all his deeds, and all his words are sure.
