The club met on April 14th for their tureen meal and regular
meeting. 36 members were present along with 5 guests.
Two young ladies presented a program about raising puppies
(for about a year) to become, in the future, guiding dogs (also
called seeing eye dogs) for the blind. After the puppies leave

their hosts’ homes, they go to a training school before actually

practicing with blind persons. When they are fully trained and
working, the dogs may be worth $45,000 or more.
Travel chair, Ginny Hint, said she is working on a few bus
trips, one of them may be an overnighter. Guests are welcome

On March 24th, William Dibble spoke on behalf of “Allegany
Trails, Inc.”. The organization is involved in finishing existing

Many of the trails run through Allegany County and into
Pennsylvania. He handed out maps and flyers about their
