An example using Vacation Bible School The purpose of vacation bible school is to introduce and share the love and message of Christ with children so that they are exposed to Christ, learn more about Him, and are drawn into a relationship with Him early in their lives. Number of non PUMC children that attend VBS and that return to participate in subsequent Pender children events Number of repeat VBS participants from year to year Collect information via completed VBS sign up forms Cross reference with Pender Hill School registration, Sunday School attendance, and with other events such as Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas VBS, etc. Compare with last years sign up list Identify action steps by tackling questions such as: Are we where we expected? How does it compare to previous years? Other events? What do we need to continue doing? What do we need to do differently? We do this so that the children are exposed to Christ, learn more about Him, and are drawn into a relationship with Him early in their lives.
