: Class maintenance is subject to compliance with the requirements of China Classification Society's (CCS's) Rules and Regulations and the attention is drawn to that the following circumstances would result in the suspension, withdrawal or cancel of Class:
1. 1. For all the ships classed with CCS, the class certificate will become invalid and the class will be automatically suspended in any one of the following cases: (1) CCS (1) When the special survey has not been completed within the period of time stipulated in the Rules and an extension is not granted by the Society, unless the vessel is under attendance for completion prior to resuming trading, by the due date; (2) 3 (2) When the Annual Survey has not been completed within three (3) months of the due date of the annual survey, unless the vessel is under attendance (3) 53 3 for completion of the Annual Survey; (3) When the Intermediate Survey has not been completed within three (3) months of the due date of the third annual survey in each 5-year special survey cycle, unless the vessel is under attendance for completion of the 2. For all the ships classed with CCS, the Society may withdraw or cancel the class of a ship in any one of the following cases: (1) At the request of the Owner; (2) If the circumstances leading to suspension of class are not corrected within the time specified, the vessels class will be withdrawn; (3) A vessels class is withdrawn immediately when a vessel proceeds to sea without having completed recommendations or conditions of class which were required to be dealt with before leaving port. (4) When class has been suspended for a period of six (6) months due to overdue Annual, Intermediate, Special or other surveys required for maintenance of class; or overdue outstanding recommendations conditions of class, class will be withdrawn. A longer suspension period may be granted for vessels which are either laid up, awaiting disposition of a casualty or under attendance for reinstatement.; (5) Where hull, equipment or machinery (including electrical installations) is so badly damaged or in other conditions (e.g. sinking, scrapping, etc.) that continuing operation of the ship is confirmed as not possible; (6) When the payment of survey fees is not made in time. 5. If, due to circumstances reasonably beyond the Owner's or the Society's control (limited to such cases as: damage to the ship; unforeseen inability of the Society to attend the ship due to the governmental restrictions on right of access or movement of personnel; unforeseeable delays in port or inability to discharge cargo due to unusually lengthy periods of severe weather, strikes, or civil strife; acts of war, or other cases of force majeure) the vessel is not in a port where the overdue surveys can be completed at the expiry of the periods allowed, the Society may allow the vessel to sail, in class, directly to an agreed discharge port, and if necessary, hence, in ballast, to an agreed port at which the survey will be completed 6. If the survey requirements related to maintenance of special notations are not carried out as required, the suspension or withdrawal may be limited to those special notations only. 7. Withdrawal of the class of a ship will be indicated in the Register of Ships or its supplements or on the Societys website correspondingly. 8. When suspension or withdrawal of class of a ship becomes effective, the Society will send written notification to the Owner and the Administration of the flag State, and make an announcement on CCS website available to the underwriters and other interested parties concerned.

CST(6) NOTES REFERRING TO THE PARTICULARS ON PAGE 2 OF THIS CERTIFICATE


(1) Stewards, cooks, etc., attending on passengers, and passengers servants are not part of the crew for whom space is to be deducted but spaces occupied by stewards or mess-room boys engaged exclusively in attending on the master, officers, engineers or other members of the crew may be deducted. The cabin occupied by the propelling machinery engineer s (but not the refrigeration engineer s) storekeeper may be deducted. A dispensary, surgery of hospital for the exclusive use of the crew may be deducted. (2) The accommodation for the pilot, purser, clerk, etc., is not to be included in this deduction. (3) The deduction of doctors cabins is subject to the condition that they must be actually occupied by the doctors. (4) The following spaces may be deducted: A mess-room, if there is any, for the exclusive use of the officers; a second mess-room, if there is any, for the exclusive use of the engineers; and a third mess-room, if there is any, for the exclusive use of the petty officers. No deduction is allowed for the officers mess-room in ships having passenger accommodation which are not also provided with a passengers mess-room (5) Where a one-berth cabin is provided solely for the accommodation of a pilot, the existence of such a room, although not itself eligible for deduction, shall not cause the disallowance of the officers mess-room, bathroom, W.C., etc., as would be the case if the room were intended for the use of a passenger. (6) The Captains accommodation comprising rooms certified for his exclusive use may be deducted. Carriage of merchandise in the Captains rooms will forfeit their deduction. (7) All spaces fitted as bathrooms, or lavatories, for the exclusive use of the master, ships officers, engineers and crew, may be deducted, with the exception of such of the said bathrooms as are available for passengers, when no bathroom for their exclusive use is provided. (8) Deductions may be made for the spaces occupied by the laundry, refrigerating machinery, ventilating, disinfecting and distilling apparatus, provided that they are certified for the exclusive use of the crew and that the spaces containing them are solely occupied by them. Cold storage rooms shall not be considered as refrigerating machinery. (9) All spaces specially provided for the storage of search lights, and for the wireless telegraphy installation may be deducted on condition that they are situated on the upper deck. (10) Fire-fighting personnel are deductible; this item may include night-watchmen or patrol-men, who are signed on the articles, and have no duties in connection with passengers or cargo. Fire-fighting plant or apparatus is deductible even if situated below the uppermost deck. N.B.The deduction of the spaces mentioned above is subject to the condition that they are clearly and permanently marked so as to show the purpose for which they are exclusively appropriated. (11) The deductions in the aggregate must not exceed ten per cent of the entire gross tonnage of the ship, and as soon as any stores or cargo are carried in or passengers are berthed or accommodated in any of the spaces deducted the whole of the deduction in respect of the particular space will be permanently disallowed.

(2) In the event grain loadings other than those specifically set forth in the afore mentioned document are contemplated, the Master is to satisfy himself by use of the moment curves/tables and other data contained therein, that the vessel at any stage of any voyage falls within the limitations set forth under A.7 in the International Code for the Safe Carriage of Grain in Bulk adopted by MSC. 23(59). (3) This Authorization together with the approved grain loading document are to be placed on board the vessel and, if so required it shall be produced for inspection by the appropriate authorities at ports of loading together with the calculations mentioned in item (2) above.
