Question 2 (a) On the graph paper plot the triangle ABC whose vertices are at the points A ( 3 , 1) B (5 , 0) and C (7 , 4). On the same diagram, draw the image of the triangle ABC under reflection in the origin. [3] (b) In a cyclic quadrilateral ABCD, the diagonal AC bisect angle BCD. Prove that diagonal BD is parallel to the tangent to the circle at point A. [4] (c) A playground has the shape of the rectangle, with two semicircle on the smaller sides as diameter; added to its outside. If the sides of the rectangle are 38 m and 24.5 m ; calculate the area of the playground. [3]

Question 5 (a) A two-digit number is such that the product of its digit is 12. When 36 is added to this number, the digit interchanged their places. The angle of the elevation of the top of the tower from two points on the ground at at distances a and b from the base of the tower and the same straight line with it are complementary. Prove that the height of the tower is ab metre. [5] b. A vessel is in the form of inverted cone. Its height is 8 cm and the radius of its top, which is open, is 5 cm. It is filled with water up to rim. When lead shots each of which is a sphere of radius 0.5 cm are dropped into the vessel, one- fourth of the water flows out. Find the number of lead shots dropped in the vessel. [5]
