1. General Issues Numbers for all SMS messages: +43 676 800812803 or +43 69919258188 Please be at the venue 1 hour before official match start. Dont forget to take your 4-Digit-Code. Make sure you can differentiate which team is home and which team is away. Please take a seat in a calm area of the stadium. Do not sit in the hardcore fan section. Please take a seat where you can see the scoreboard and the pitch. Always use a headset during the match. Deactivate the possibility to receive a second call. Make sure which team has kick off. The phone system will call you automatically 15 minutes before match starts. If you dont receive a call: Please call the supervisor +43 1279 373784 . Never be shy to ask people around you if you are uncertain of some details. Make sure you have an additional, fully charged battery with you. Check kick off date and time short before you leave home. Some carriers in certain countries have a time limit for calls duration. It means, calls get cut off automatically after some minutes. To avoid unnecessary cuts during second period you should hang up during half time and wait for the system automatic call.

1.1. Disciplinary Measurements General Issues Running out of battery: No payment. Not informing about kickoff date and time changes: No payment.

2. Technical Information

We use a DTMF based technology. This means that the quality of your local phone network has an influence on the quality of our system. This is something totally out of our hands.

You, as a scout, can minimize the risk by using a phone carrier that is not very common in your country. Therefore you should avoid using a low cost phone provider. This will for sure be problematic for you.

There might be some problems with the recognition of your entries. This is very critical when it comes to any goal entries. In these cases you should immediately press bet stop and inform supervisor (by pressing *) about the goal. Some disconnections during a match are also possible. Dont panic in these cases. The system will call you automatically after disconnection. Please take notes about important happenings during this disconnection. Do not open the market if there were goals, cards, corner kicks or penalties meanwhile. Press * to call supervisor and inform him about any happening mentioned above during disconnection. Open the market only if all important happenings have been entered by supervisor.

In case nothing important happened during your disconnection, there is no need to call supervisor. In these cases you can open the market and continue coverage.

Additionally we want to emphasize that some entries, especially those entered with single digits like attacks, yellow cards and corner kicks are recognized very slowly. This is because the system is waiting to see if there is a second entry for a more important event. Please dont panic if you have the feeling that the system is too slow for these entries. We have marked all slow buttons in our standards.

Mute Function

You have to switch your mobile device to mute during coverage. Be aware that the mute function is not the same as silent.

When you are in the middle of a call, you can also mute the cell phone from the "Options" menu by pressing on the "OK" or "Send" button and selecting "Mute" from the menu. To un-mute, select "Options" again and choose "Un-mute."

Make sure you can perfectly handle the mute function on your device before attending any matches. You should always be aware of how to mute and unmute your device at any time. Important: You have to unmute your mobile if you want to call the SV or if you receive a supervisor call. Make sure you can handle mute function at your device perfectly before attending any matches. You should always be aware how to mute and unmute your device if needed.

* . The System will connect you with him straight away. This will not have any cost for

your phone.

Please use this function for all circumstances where you are not sure what to do. Always press betstop before contacting the supervisor.

In some cases it will be necessary for supervisor to enter information like goals, cards, etc. for you. Please make sure that supervisor confirms all entries to you, so that you can continue coverage without risking any double entry. Communication with supervisor is very important. You should always give clear answers to his questions. Please also make sure that you always inform him about any tricky situation and for all the action we may miss during any disconnection.

12. Match Events

There are several match events you have to enter during soccer coverage: Attacks and ball Safes Corners Bookings Penalties Time out Goals

12.1 Attacks & Ball Safe (Slow Entry) We have got important match information which is a combination of ball possession and ball location. You have to forward us whether any of the teams is attacking or the ball is in the so called safe zone. We have split the pitch into 3 parts. 2 of these are attack zones (yellow) and 1 is a safe zone (green).

19

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

12.1.1. Attack An attack happens when the ball is on the yellow marked area by the attacking team, no matter if the attack is resolved by a shot on goal. The single fact of the ball entering in the yellow area is enough to input an attack. Press 1 for every home attack and 3 for every away team attack.

12.1.1.1. Attack Logics There are some logics for attack information: Forward attack information when it is likely that a free kick will end up into the penalty box, regardless from where it will be kicked. Every free kick for the attacking team within the opponents half is an attack. Logically, every goal and every corner must be preceded by an attack. So please input this information accurately. 12.1.2. Safe Ball Ball Safe information is any entry of the ball into ball safe zone (green) and also whenever the defending team has ball possession in their half of the pitch. Ball safe is always an automatic market open entry. You dont have to open the market after ball safe information.

20

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

You have to enter which team has ball possession while the status is ball safe by pressing 2+1 for ball safe home team and 2+3 for ball safe away team.

You dont have to confirm the ball safe input, but you have to enter if home or away team has posession.

Press 2+1 for ball safe home team Press 2+3 for ball safe away team 12.1.2.1. Ball safe Logics There are some logics for ball safe entries: Please forward ball safe information when the ball enters the green zone in the middle of the pitch. You have to enter ball safe information when the defending team has posession or the goal keeper saves the ball after an attack. Every missed goal attempt (goal kick) is a ball safe entry. Please press the ball safe entry again when the ball is in the safe zone for more than 30 seconds. 12.1.3. Rating for Attack and Ball Safe Information The accurate entering of attack and ball safe information is very important and will be rated.
21

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

12.2. Corners (Slow Entry)

Press 4 for Corner home team and press 5 to confirm Press 6 for Corner away team and press 5 to confirm

12.2.1. Corner Logics Corners are always attacks. Dont forget to press Ball Safe when a corner kick doesnt end with a goal. Be aware that corners should always come from an attack entry. You dont have to press betstop for a corner.

22

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

12.2.2. Disciplinary Measurements for Corner Mistakes Wrong amount of corners during match will be penalized with 50% fee cut. We are always cross checking your entries with official sources for this. 12.3. Bookings When a yellow or red card is given, the referee takes out his "notebook" (actually a match record card) & writes down the player's name & number. There are 2 card colors, which the referee will hold up to indicate serious fouls or behavior that won't be tolerated. He carries these cards in his shirt and/or shorts pocket, so, if he reaches for his pocket it's a bad sign for the player who committed the foul. When a card is to be given (it isn't actually given to the offending player, it is actually just shown to him and to everyone else) the referee will stop the game, call the player over, hold up the card and write the player's name in his notebook. This is called "booking" the player and when it happens the player has been "booked", (e.g., "he was booked"). Any time a Yellow or Red Card is shown, a "direct" or "indirect kick" will also be awarded.

We have 3 different booking styles during our coverage: Yellow Card Red Card Special Case. Yellow-red card. 12.3.1. Yellow Cards (Slow Button) A yellow card indicates a formal "warning" for any of the following 7 offenses: Any "unsporting behavior" - this includes Hard fouls Holding an opponent or deliberately handling the ball for the purpose of preventing an opponent from gaining possession of the ball Faking an injury Saying things that are meant to confuse or distract an opponent Harassment (such as jumping around, shouting or making gestures to intentionally distract an opponent)
23

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

Jumping in front of a corner kick, free kick or throw-in Worrying the goalkeeper or trying to prevent him from putting the ball into play Gaining an unfair advantage by leaning on, climbing on the back of, or holding a teammate or the goal Blatant cases of holding and pulling an opposing player or his uniform; Any action designed to deceive the referee Behavior which in the referee's judgment is unsporting or causes an unfair advantage Dissent by word or actions, Persistently breaking the rules, Delaying the restart of play, Defenders failing to stay the proper distance away from the kicker on a corner kick, free kick or throw-in (see "Corner Kick" & "Free Kick"), Entering or re-entering the field without the referee's permission Deliberately leaving the field without the referees permission.

A player who receives 2 Yellow Cards is given a Red Card & ejected (see special case: yellow-red card)

Press 7 for Yellow card home team and press 5 to confirm Press 9 for Yellow card away team and press 5 to confirm
24

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

Yellow card entries dont need any previous betstop entry. 12.3.2. Red Cards (Automated Betstop) A player must be shown a Red Card and "sent off" (i.e., made to leave the field) for the 7 offenses listed below. A player shown a "Red Card" & sent off may not be replaced during that game (i.e., his team must play one player "short" for the rest of the game; however, in some leagues a player may be replaced if he is ejected for receiving a second Yellow Card). The 7 offenses for which a player must be shown a Red Card and sent off are: Serious foul play (includes any use of excessive force or brutality against an opponent when challenging for the ball. Examples include a dangerous slide tackle from behind, or an "over the top tackle" in which a player raises his foot so the cleats could hit a player, or a two footed tackle that takes down the opponent. FIFA has broadened this definition by saying that "Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play. For current rules visit www.fifa.com, Laws of the Game. The above quote is from Questions and Answers, Additional Instructions for Referees). The rules now include "Decision 4", which says: "A tackle, which endangers the safety of an opponent, must be sanctioned as serious foul play". Violent conduct, Spitting at anyone,
25

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

Deliberately touching the ball with a hand in order to prevent a goal or to deny an obvious goal scoring opportunity (such as to prevent a "Breakaway".... this does not apply to the goalkeeper within his own Penalty Box) Fouling an opponent to prevent an obvious goal scoring opportunity (e.g., holding to stop a breakaway), Using offensive, insulting or threatening language and/or gestures, Receiving a second yellow card in one game (see special case: yellow-red card)

Press 7+5 for Red card home team and press 5 to confirm Press 9+5 for Red card away team and press 5 to confirm

After confirming a penalty, the system will ask you whether the entered red card is a direct red card or a yellow/red card:

Press 2 for direct red card Press 3 for yellow/red card Press 0 for no card

Be aware that you have to confirm these entries.

In case of a fight on the pitch where several players are involved and red card is likely, please press 0 and wait until the situation is 100% clear. After entering the red card, open the market manually only when the situation is 100% clear. If the red card was awarded for a dangerous free kick the market should remain closed. Important: Dont enter a red/yellow card for a player on bench. 12.3.3. Disciplinary Measurements for Booking Issues Wrong amount of yellow cards: 50% cut from your fee Missing red card: 100% cut from your fee Delayed entering of yellow/red cards (no fee cut if it is just few minutes delay for yellow card): 50% fee cut from your fee
27

Sportsdata Basic Soccer Standards

12.4. Penalties (Automated Betstop) A "penalty kick" or "PK", is a special type of direct free kick. When a player commits any of the 10 "Direct Free Kick Fouls" within his own Penalty Box, the other team is given a Penalty Kick. On a penalty kick, a player from the fouled team gets a free shot at goal from the "Penalty Mark" with only the goalkeeper to stop the shot. All other players must stay outside the Penalty Box & the Penalty Box Arc until it is kicked. The kick must go forward & once "in play" any player other than the kicker may then touch the ball. The goalkeeper must stay on the goal line until the ball is kicked, but he can move laterally along the line. The goalkeeper cannot take actions (such as waving his arms or yelling) to try to intentionally distract the kicker because that would be "unsporting", nor can the kicker start his run & then stop for the purpose of faking the Goalkeeper, for the same reason.

An entry for penalty always causes an automated betstop.

This will be the final confirmation that a goal was given. Cancellation of goals and important bookings: Scout has to press 0 for betstop if a confirmed goal is cancelled or if there was any red card/yellow red card after goal confirmation. In both cases the market remains closed and an automated SV call will be generated. SV will cancel confirmed goal or enter booking for you while match is still in status = betstop. You should at least press 0 for bet stop if you are not sure what to do and wait until the situation is clear. 12.5.4. Cancelled goal Sequences It is quite common that goals are not counted because of offensive fouls or offside decisions. Once you get aware that goal is not counted or that entered goal information is not correct you should press # to cancel goal.

System will ask you the reason for canceling any goal sequence. Goal cancellation may have 3 reasons: Goal cancelled: Offside press 1 Goal cancelled: Foul attacking team press 2 Goal cancelled: Wrong system entry press 3 Goal cancelled: Unknown press 4

12.6 Injury Time Injury time is the time added on by the referee at the end of each 45 minute half to compensate for interruptions during the game. Injury time is commonly added on for substitutions (30 seconds for each one), injuries, time wasting and other interruptions. 18. Most Important Do not try to correct any wrong entries yourself once you have confirmed them with 5. In these cases: Stop the betting market and immediately call the supervisor with *.

After a goal: Wait until the match starts from center again and confirm the goal with 5 It is a big mistake to confirm a goal which is subsequently invalidated because of offside, foul etc.

You might have disconnections during coverage. This is not a reason to panic or to get worried about. In most of the cases there is a technical reason for this. The majority of the disconnections can be avoided if you hang up call during halftime. Please wait until you get a call either from system or directly from supervisor. You dont have to send an SMS to get re-connected. The first thing to do after you are re-connected is to contact supervisor and report about any happenings during disconnection. Please wait for supervisor confirmation before opening the market again. Dont open the market without confirmation from supervisor when you get disconnected.

Or should I NOT press "2" and keep the action of "1" because the attack is still remaining? Answer: Do not press 2. But press another attack (1) for the home team.

Question: There is a corner (press "4+5" home team attacking) but the attacking team hits a short ball and two players are fronting each other around the corner area, what should I type in? Answer: Please press another dangerous attack to mention that the dangerous attack still is still remaining.

Question: What is the procedure if it is unclear who scored or how the goal was scored? Answer: The system will ask you several times, and if you dont enter anything the status will be unknown. Thats fine with us. Question: There is a dangerous free kick, I press "0" and wait... but the system vopitch is telling me asking for "press 0 to open the market"; what does it means? Answer: The moment you press 0 and wait everything is stopped and our clients got the information that there is a situation which will very likely be a goal. The system is only remembering you that you have closed the market and you should open it as soon as the dangerous situation is over. Question: Should I have the market open or closed when the game is in general play? For example when the players are the middle of the pitch passing the ball? Answer: The market always has to be open except on special situations like a goal, a red card and a very dangerous position or on a supervisor request. Question: When the ball enters yellow area it is Attack, if there is immediately free kick, do I have to press another Attack, or one attack is enough? Answer: One attack is enough. The attack is just an indication to show where the ball is.

Question: During a game a penalty is awarded ..."4-4" or "6-6" then "5"...whilst waiting for the penalty to be taken the call disconnects. During this time the penalty is scored. When the connection is re-established and after entering the scout code...the system asks for the betting to be opened (as it automatically closes) and then I enter the fact that a goal was scored...how it was scored. Shot etc. In this situation, is this the correct procedure or what action should be taken? Answer: No. You should keep the market closed and contact the supervisor with *. This is the general procedure: You have to call supervisor when you get reconnected and wait for him to confirm you that you can open the market. There will be a fee cut if you ignore this important instruction.

Question: If penalty was missed but ball goes out for a corner. You should press 0 for penalty missed but then should you manually open the market first before entering the corner? Answer: Yes. The market should be opened before.

Question: When a player receives a red card due to a second yellow card, what's the best sequence ? 1> Enter only red card and system will ask me if yellow/red card situation? 2> Betstop + yellow card + red card 3> yellow card + red card Answer: It is the first option: Enter only red card and system will ask me if yellow/red card situation

Question: If a penalty is scored or missed but the referee then says that the penalty has to be retaken, what should I do? I need to know the correct procedure for what to do if i have entered the goal, but also if i have not entered the goal. should i press ball safe/cancel goal and then reenter the penalty? or should i call the supervisor? This is important that i know this, because tomorrow i have a match which could finish with a penalty shootout. Answer: You should enter a goal only once the match has restarted. 19.2. General FAQ Questions about Livescouting duties:

Question: I have forwarded you the list of teams which are within 60 Km from my home. But there are some information regarding flights, accommodation and victuals in the guidelines. As far as we are providing live results for Medias or Betting providers, we cant allow any mistakes. Question: How will I handle the Livescouting duty? Would I have to use a PDA or a regular mobile phone? Answer: You can use a standard mobile phone; we do not recommend using PDA or any software for Livescouting duties.
