What God Said to Adam and Eve

 Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish
of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth
upon the earth.

 Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed,
which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a
tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

 Genesis 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou
hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

What God Said to Cain

 Genesis 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? And why is thy
countenance fallen?

 Genesis 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he
said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?

 Genesis 4:15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain,
vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain,
lest any finding him should kill him.

What God Said to Satan

 Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done
this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy
belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

 Genesis 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me;
for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them
with the earth.

 Genesis 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the
ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

 Genesis 9:12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make
between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual
generations:
 Genesis 9:17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I
have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

 Genesis 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from
him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward,
and southward, and eastward, and westward:

 Genesis 17:9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant
therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

 Genesis 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not
call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.

 Genesis 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and
thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an
everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

 Genesis 18:13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh,
saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

 Genesis 18:17 And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I

great, and because their sin is very grievous;

because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said

 Genesis 16:9 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress,
and submit thyself under her hands.

 Genesis 16:10 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed
exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude.
 Genesis 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with
child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD
hath heard thy affliction.

 Genesis 20:6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this
in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me:
therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

What God Said to Rebekah

 Genesis 25:23 And the LORD said unto her [Rebekah], Two nations are in thy
womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one
people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the
younger.

What God Said to Jacob

 Genesis 31:3 And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers,
and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

 Genesis 35:1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there:
and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest
from the face of Esau thy brother.

 Genesis 35:10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be
called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.

 Genesis 35:11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and
multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come
out of thy loins;
What God Said to Moses

 Exodus 3:7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people
which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I
know their sorrows;

 Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus
shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

 Exodus 3:15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the
children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God
of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever,
and this is my memorial unto all generations.

 Exodus 4:2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he
said, A rod.

 Exodus 4:4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by
the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

 Exodus 4:6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into
thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold,
his hand was leprous as snow.

 Exodus 4:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who
maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

 Exodus 4:19 And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt:
for all the men are dead which sought thy life.

 Exodus 4:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into
Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in
thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

 Exodus 6:1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do
to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand
shall he drive them out of his land.

 Exodus 6:26 These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out
the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.

 Exodus 7:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to

 Exodus 8:20 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and

saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

 Exodus 9:8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you
handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in
the sight of Pharaoh.

 Exodus 9:13 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and
stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the
Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

 Exodus 9:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward
heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast,
and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

 Exodus 10:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have
hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs
before him:

 Exodus 10:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the
land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and
eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.

 Exodus 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward
heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which
may be felt.

 Exodus 11:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more
upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall
let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.

 Exodus 11:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto
you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

 Exodus 12:43 And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance
of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and

with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river,

book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the
remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

 Exodus 19:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick
cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever.
And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.

 Exodus 19:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify
them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,

 Exodus 19:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest
they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.

 Exodus 19:24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt
come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break
through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

 Exodus 20:22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the
children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.

 Exodus 24:12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount,
and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments
which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

 Exodus 30:34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices,
stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of
each shall there be a like weight:

 Exodus 32:7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people,
which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
 Exodus 32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and,
behold, it is a stiff-necked people:

 Exodus 32:33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against
me, him will I blot out of my book.

 Exodus 33:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and
the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land
which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I
give it:

 Exodus 33:17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou
hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

 Exodus 33:21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt
stand upon a rock:

 Exodus 34:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like
unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first
tables, which thou brakest.

 Exodus 34:27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after
the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

 Leviticus 16:2 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother,
that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy
seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the
mercy seat.

 Leviticus 21:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of
Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his

short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp

provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I
have shewed among them?

death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take
away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

looketh upon it, shall live.

 Deuteronomy 4:10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God
in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will
make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they
shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

 Deuteronomy 5:28 And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake

ark of wood.

 Deuteronomy 31:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep
with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of
the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me,
and break my covenant which I have made with them.

 Deuteronomy 34:4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware
unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I
have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

What God Said to Aaron

 Exodus 4:27 And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.
And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

 Numbers 18:1 And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father's
house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons
with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

What God Said to Balaam

 Numbers 22:12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou
shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.

 Numbers 22:32 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou
smitten thine ass these three times? Behold, I went out to withstand thee, because
thy way is perverse before me:

 Numbers 22:35 And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men:
but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam
went with the princes of Balak.
What God Said to Joshua

 Joshua 3:7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee
in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be
with thee.

 Joshua 5:2 At that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and
circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.

 Joshua 5:9 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the
reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal
unto this day.

 Joshua 6:2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand
Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

 Joshua 7:10 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou
thus upon thy face?

 Joshua 8:1 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed:
take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into
thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:

 Joshua 8:18 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy
hand toward Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the
spear that he had in his hand toward the city.

 Joshua 10:8 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered
them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

 Joshua 11:6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for
to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt
hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.

 Joshua 11:23 So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the LORD said
unto Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance unto Israel according to their
divisions by their tribes. And the land rested from war.

 Joshua 13:1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto
him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to
be possessed.

 Joshua 14:6 Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the
son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the
LORD said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh-
barnea.
 Joshua 14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in
that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the
cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be
able to drive them out, as the LORD said.

What God Said to the Children of Israel

 Judges 1:1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of
Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites
first, to fight against them? 2 And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I
have delivered the land into his hand.

 Judges 10:11 And the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Did not I deliver you
from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and
from the Philistines?

 Judges 20:18 And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God,
and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle
against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first.

 Judges 20:23 (And the children of Israel went up and wept before the LORD until
even, and asked counsel of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up again to battle against
the children of Benjamin my brother? And the LORD said, Go up against him.)

 1 Kings 11:2 Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of
Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely
they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

What God Said to Gideon

 Judges 6:16 And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou
shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

 Judges 6:20 And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the
unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did
so.

 Judges 6:23 And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt
not die.
 Judges 6:25 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him,
Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and
throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is
by it:

 Judges 7:2 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too
many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves
against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.

 Judges 7:4 And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring
them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that
of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and
of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go.

 Judges 7:5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said
unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog
lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon
his knees to drink.

 Judges 7:7 And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that
lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the
other people go every man unto his place.

 Judges 7:9 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him,
Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.

What God Said to Manoah

 Judges 13:13 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Of all that I said
unto the woman let her beware.

 Judges 13:16 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain
me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must
offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

 Judges 13:18 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus
after my name, seeing it is secret?

What God Said to Phinehas

 Judges 20:28 And Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it
in those days,) saying, Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of
