PROPERTIES: Appearance pH (2% solution) Solubility Density GENERAL COMMENTS: STONELAND EJW is a specially prepared synthetic detergent designed for emulsification, wetting and soil removal properties in the scouring of cotton, polyester, polyester/cotton, nylon, wool and blends of these fibers, leaving a clean, soft hand to the scoured fabric. This product incorporates a wetting agent, detergent, sequestering agent and soil anti-redeposition agent to enhance performance properties. In desizing, the use of STONELAND EJW is useful to facilitate enzymatic action in the destruction and removal of sizing. APPLICATION: In cotton, rayon and synthetic fiber scouring, use 0.5-1.0% of STONELAND EJW. Heat bath to 125-140F, scour for 30 minutes and rinse when scouring is completed. Soda ash may be added if desired. In scouring wool, it is suggested to use 0.5-1.0% of STONELAND EJW and adjust the scouring bath to pH 7 by the addition of soda ash or sodium bicarbonate. Heat bath to 120-130F, scour for 30 minutes and rinse when scouring is completed. In enzyme desizing operations, STONELAND EJW is used at 0.25-0.5% to facilitate wetting and increase the desizing power of the enzyme.
