Mirella Eid Script Writing "The lost innocence"

The film starts with an establishing shot that shows both Cindy and her friend Carla wearing very sexy skirts instead of their costume, murmuring in the class of mathematics while their peers in the class are concentrating on the teacher explanation. The teacher stares at Cindy and asks her to calculate a mathematical equation on the board. She tells him while chewing her bubble gum:" I'm not into mathematics." He answers her:"So, you're not into this class. Go out!" As she opens the door to leave her class, she encounters the director who asks her about her costume and the reason why she's leaving her class. She becomes red and she doesn't know what to say. The director gives her a warning as a final chance before firing her from school. Another scene shows how the guys in her school look at her body and how they flirt with her. And it shows also how the girls of her class look at her disgustingly. Parallel to this scene, we see her desperate drunk father Sleiman, visiting her aunt and begging her to see his daughter. Her aunt, Linda, disgusted from the alcohol smell, refuses saying:" I will never allow you to see your daughter until you get rid of this smell". She gives him an address saying: "this place will help you." she closes the door. Sleiman leaves so sad. In Cindy's school, every year, the director invites the student's parents for a meeting to evaluate the progress or delay of students. So, we see Linda preparing herself to go for the meeting. She meets Cindy's teachers who are complaining of her carelessness. They tell her that Cindy misses her classes and doesn't have any problem if she fails or even be fired. Her aunt is shocked and she returns back home disappointed by what she heard. She waits for Cindy to talk to her. At this time, we see Cindy's father going to the center of rehabilitation to get rid of his addiction to alcohol as Linda advised him. In the Center, he meets the person responsible of him, Sam. Then we return to Linda's home, Cindy enters. She notices that her aunt is angry. She sits beside her and asks her: Anything wrong? Her aunt-trying not to lose her temper- said: I was in your school and I didn't' hear any good news. Everyone there is complaining about your negligence and bad behaviors, could you tell me what's wrong with you? Cindy didn't say anything. She enters her room and closes her door while her aunt is shouting: I'm talking to you! Don't hide in your room.

Then on the next day, we see Linda sitting and waiting for the hairdresser to style her hair. While she's waiting, she hears a bunch of girls talking about Cindy and her bad reputation spread all over the village. She hears one of them saying: everyday my daughter comes home and has a new story related to that girl. She tells me that she misses her class to hang out with guys. I don't know what kind of irresponsible parents this girl has. At this moment, the scene shows Linda ashamed, confused and so angry leaving quickly without saying anything. As she enters home, she starts calling for Cindy. Cindy is not at home. So, we see Linda entering her room and putting all the stuff of Cindy in a bag. As she returns back home, Cindy asks her aunt about what she's doing, her aunt answers her:" I decided to take care of you as a favor to your mother's soul but you deserve nothing. You're ruining the family reputation and I won't allow for this to happen. So I want you to leave." Cindy, so hopeless and sad, takes her bag and leaves saying "Thanks". We see Cindy lost, not knowing where to go. She thinks and remembers her friend Carla. She calls her and tells her what she's facing. Carla tells her that she's waiting for her to come and that she has a place for her and maybe a job also. Cindy leaves her village to go to Beirut. She meets Carla and she tells her about what she passed through. Carla suggests on her to dance and work with her in the night club. Then Cindy asks her: What is the kind of work? Carla answers her: you have to do whatever it takes to serve the client. Cindy accepts. Then, after three months, we see Cindy's father, Sleiman, crying while narrating to Sam what alcohol made him do to his daughter and wife. Sam is shocked. Sleiman continues narrating about the long nights that passed on him after that accident and about his desire to see his daughter just once in his life. He says: I want to know where she is. How does she look? And what she's doing now? Sam tries to calm him and he promises him to find Cindy. We see Sam and Sleiman at Linda's house asking her about Cindy. She tells them what happened and gives them some names that will help them in their search. After 2 weeks, we see Sam knocking the door of Sleiman. Sleiman opens the door. Sam tells him:" I have news: one is good and the other is bad." The good one is that I find your daughter but the bad is that she's working in a super night club." Her father seems to be quite, and then suddenly starts blaming himself, shouting: "She's there because of me. I am the one who sent her to that place. I am the reason." Sam tries to lessen his sadness.

We see Cindy dancing in the night club and all the men eyes are focused on her. And we see two or three men asking about her, longing for spending a night with her.
