SINGAPORE – 15TH April 2009 – CNA Group Ltd. (“CNA” or the “Group”), an award-
winning enabler of intelligent buildings and facilities, announced today that the Group has
secured S$9.3 million worth of multinational (“MNC”) contracts in Vietnam, a significant win
in the country and a major boost to its overseas expansion strategy.

These latest wins by HTE Vietnam Co. Ltd (“HTE”), the 51%-owned subsidiary of SGX-
listed CNA, immediately lifts the Group’s core business current order book in Vietnam by
S$9.3 million.

One of these two projects is a Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (“MEP”) implementation
for a Keppel Land joint venture residential development in Ho Chi Minh City and is
expected to contribute revenue to CNA from FY2009. It is slated for completion in May
2011.

Under the terms of the contract, HTE, will supply and install air-conditioning, mechanical,
ventilation and fire protection systems for eight high-rise towers comprising 719 apartments
with a total gross floor area of 156,000 square metres.

HTE has been working with SGX-listed Keppel Land since 1999. Keppel Land is the
property arm of the Keppel Group, one of Singapore's largest MNC groups with a
diversified portfolio in Asia with a current focus in Singapore, China, Vietnam, India and
Indonesia.

The second contract is a construction and MEP implementation one from CapitaLand
Limited (“CapitaLand”). Fast-tracked to be completed within 16 weeks from the date of this
announcement, this project is to construct and complete with MEP implementation, a sales
gallery and 3 show flats for CapitaLand’s luxurious residential development in Hanoi.
The CapitaLand sales gallery is scheduled to be constructed as an iconic 340 square
metre “worm like” glass building using curved tubular steel columns glazed with curved
glass wall panels.

Additionally the 3 showflats are all expected to be fitted out with interior decor and furniture
including a large 63m x 7.5m architectural feature wall, and the surrounding hardscape and
landscape.

Also SGX-listed, Singapore headquartered CapitaLand is one of Asia’s largest real estate
companies which has handpicked HTE for this project due to the latter’s capability and
expertise to successfully execute such projects of short duration.

Commenting on these latest wins, Chief Executive Officer of CNA, Mr. Michael Ong, said,
“These prestigious contract wins in Vietnam are indeed encouraging and a testimony to our
increasing capabilities and track record, and more so when the implementations are for two
of the largest MNCs in the region.”

“MEP implementations comprise the latest offering in our suite of services and are tailored
to give us a competitive advantage,” he added.

CNA already has substantial operating experience, local Information Communication

Technology expertise and an increasing track record of reference projects in more up-
market business segments across Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand,
India, Dubai, Qatar and China.

Previously HTE had secured two other high-profile projects from MNC companies in
Vietnam – firstly, a US$2.1 million contract to supply, install, test, commission and maintain
an electrical system for Phase 1A of SGX-listed Guocoland’s first fully integrated
development in Binh Duong province, about 20 kilometres away from the centre of Ho Chi
Minh City (“HCMC”), which will host 1,200 residential apartments, a trendy mall, a hotel, an
international school and a sports complex; and secondly, a US$0.6 million contract to
refurbish an existing 4-storey building and also execute the interior-design fit-out for VID
Public Bank in HCMC.

The aforesaid wins also put the Group’s Vietnam operations into motion and support its
ongoing commitment to overseas expansion strategy.

In line with the Group’s overseas expansion effort in the previous years, group revenue for
the full year ended 31 December 2008 (“FY2008”) rose 54.9% to S$101.0 million from
S$65.2 million on increasing contributions from the Group’s core business in the Middle
East and sustained growth in China.
