Statue of Liberty The Statue of Liberty was designed by Frederic Bartholdi and opened on October 28, 1886. The Statue is a gift to the United States from the people of France. This statue has a female figure representing freedom. The statue was administered by the United States Lighthouse Board until 1901 and then by the Department of War. The statue was closed for renovation in 1938 and opened in 1980. The statue was closed from 1984 to 1986, because the torch and a large part of the internal structure were replaced, but now it is very popular.

American Museum of Natural History The Museum was founded in 1869.The American Museum of Natural History is placed on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. It is one of the largest and most beautiful museums in the world. There are: Exhibition halls, Rose Center and Planetarium, Library and many other sections. The museum's first two presidents were John David Wolfe and Robert L. Stuart. Central Park Central Park is a public park in the center of New York. The park initially opened in 1857. Central Park is the most visited park in the United States. Central Park has over 25,000 trees. Central Park is one of those places that make New York such a great place to live. Its design has served as an example for city parks around the world.

3. LIFE IN NY NY is a dream city. I think everyone dreams of living here. Even though it is so big, only 8.3 million people are currently living in New York City. The rest of the citizen 19 million people, live in the 3 districts around NYC: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. New York City itself consists of five sectors Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Around 37% of New York citizens are strangers. This does not only make New York an exciting city to live in, it also makes it a lot easier living in New York. It doesnt matter where you come from, you can be almost certain to meet someone from your native country. It is the city that never sleeps. In the eyes of many, a sense of glamour and excitement is associated with New York. The reality is different: many immigrant or US families live in homeless shelters or on the streets. However, the citys neon lights, illuminated skyscrapers, and dazzling reputation are brighter than such things. For people who enjoy living in a city with an active nightlife, New York is indeed a dream come true. The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Metropolitan Opera and Broadway attract thousands of people every year. These days, the different stages cater to different tastes of the theater-going public. Whether its exotic restaurants or traditional American diners, bars, night clubs, live music concerts there is a great selection of all of the above available to people living in New York. Various festivals take place in different parts of the city throughout the year, and during the summer months. Lovers of outdoor performances can visit the Central Park Summer Stage for free plays and music.

4. I AM GOING TO VISIT NY I hope that soon, I will have the chance to visit NY, because I think that it is a very beautiful city. There are many wonderful places I want to see. First of all, I am going to visit the JF Kennedy airport which is one of the biggest airports in the world. Then I am going to visit the National Library, because there are a lot of books from old times. Of course I am going to see the Statue of Liberty, which is a symbol of freedom and I am going to climb to the top of it, to see how NY looks like from there. Another place I would like to visit is Ground 0, the place where the World Trade Center used to be, until the terrorists attacked in 2001. After visiting Ground 0, I am going to visit the Central Park. It is a very big park right into the center of the city. Also, I would like to visit the Brooklyn Bridge it is so big and it connects 2 parts of the city. And one more building I am going to visit is the Museum of NY. Two years ago my father visited NY. He really wanted to visit this city and he promised me we would go there together. In my opinion, NY is more beautiful than Moscow, but I would like to visit it, too. What I dislike about this town is that it is very polluted. I want to go there because I like shopping. I think it would be great if I saw these things and if I get to see NY. I would like very much to visit New-York.
